Lost

Duo V.P.V.M.
It was his day off, and because he just came off 24 hrs shift any errands he needed to do were postponed to the afternoon. That's why he was in the middle of the grocery shop, at 6 pm, trying to decide if red apples were better than green apples for the apple pie he wanted to do. It was a surprise for the Diaz boys, a little fall present.
Usually, he came to do groceries with Eddie and Chris, but they had a family dinner so alone he was.
It was actually faster since he didn't have to convince Chris that the coco pops weren't a good idea, or change whatever product of brand Eddie put on the car for the better original version. But he did miss the boys.
Because every grocery shopping trip they made together let Buck imagine that this was a family trip, that they were buying food for their house, that he was theirs and they were his.
A little pang of pain blossomed in his chest, something normal every time he remember the reality; The Diaz boys weren´t his, Eddie was Straight and Buck will probably be the best man in a future wedding.
He took a deep breath trying to contain all the feelings of loneliness and heartbreak, he needed to finish with the groceries.
20 min later Buck was ready to go, just needed some milk and he was done, so he went directly to the milk when a voice came through the speakers.
"Evan Buckley to register number 5, your presence is needed"
That was odd, why was he needed at the register? And even weirder was that they knew his name? Really odd.
With the milk already in the car, Buck went to solve the mystery.
Register number 5 didn´t look any different from the other registers, the cashier was a middle age woman that looked incredibly bored.
-Hi, I´m Evan Buckley, the voice asked me to come here.
The bored woman look at him directly in his eyes without emotion and said - I think that's yours - pointing to a bench just in front of the register.
And on the bench were Christopher and Eddie Diaz looking at him with identical apologetic eyes.
-We got lost - informed him Eddie
-Wha…How…I didn´t bring you with me! What are you doing here?
-You said you were coming for the groceries, but… groceries are family time, so we have to come and be with you - responded Chris -but we couldn't find you.
-And you didn´t answer your phone - completed Eddie
-I left it at the loft, charging. Weren't you at Abuela´s? Family dinner was it?
Both Diazes looked confused by his words.
-We were waiting for you. As you said it was a family dinner, but our family wasn´t complete.
There, in the middle of a groceries shop, Evan Buckey started crying.
Rapidly both Diazes went to him, hugging him as hard as they could, trying to understand the reason behind the tears.
-Shh, shh, Mi sol, por que lloras cariño?
-I don´t…understad you…Ed - informed him Buck between sobs.
- Dad wants…to know why are you crying…Bucky.
With that, the crying came back in full force. The 6′2 man looked so small that Eddie decided it was time to leave.
-Mam, Can you ring all the things for us? I will take them to the car and be back to pay.
The bored woman just nodded slowly.
Once Buck and Chris were safe inside the car, Eddie went back to the store.
-Why are you crying Bucky?
-I´m sorry superman, it´s just that you said that without me the family wasn´t complete, no one has ever said that to me before - Buck explained, with tears still falling.
-You don´t want to be part of our family?
-Of course i want to, this are happy tears.
And of course, Chris, being the amazing kid he was, knew that what buck needed the most was love, so loving him he did. It took time and a bit of movement, but soon the 10 years old was in his Bucky lap, hugging him with all the love he had.
-Hey! Why didn´t you guys waited for me? I want cuddles too
Eddie was there with half his body perched on the passenger's window, smiling gently at the most important people in his life.
-Ready to go home? - Asked Eddie, and Buck, with the bravery that only a Buck could have, pushed his body just enough to be able to kiss his partner's lips.
The kiss was meant to be quick, but Eddie´s hand moved to cope the blond´s cheek, deepening the kiss for a few more seconds.
-Ejem … I'm hungry and Abuela is waiting…for us - Interrupt Chris, with, what looked like Buck´s phone, pointing at them.
Both men laughed at their son´s antics. - Now I'm ready to go home.
A few min after, the Buckley-Diaz Family was exiting the parking lot, on their way to a much happier future.
…
-Chris? Why is there a bunch of messages from everyone congratulating us?
-I have no idea
-Chris! YOU POSTED THE PHOTO OF US KISSING ON INSTA!?
-Ups
