We're back with Seven Days of Halloween for the fifth year in a row! Last year we did all crossovers, this year we're doing fandoms that I hadn't written for before 2022. Also, coincidentally, all of the stories this year feature LGBTQ relationships, that was not on purpose lol.
Day 1 (Oct. 25th) - The Mitchells VS. The Machines
Day 2 (Oct. 26th) - Sonic
Day 3 (Oct. 27th) - Victorious
Day 4 (Oct. 28th) - Mythic Quest
Day 5 (Oct. 29th) - Zombies
Day 6 (Oct. 30th) - Our Flag Means Death
Day 7 (Oct. 31st) - Scooby-Doo
Oh, this fic might have mild spoilers for First Kill and Paper Girls, so read at your own risk.
Enjoy!
"This was a great idea," Katie said, straightening her hair.
"But?" Jade asked. She was wearing her hair in braids for the costume, so she'd put a bit more effort into her Halloween costume than Katie and her straightener. Not that she was complaining, if even one person knew who they were dressed as at the party it would all be worth it.
"But I still think the zombie idea would have been fun."
"It was a good idea, babe, very high concept but… It's not very romantic is it?"
"I think anything I get to do with you is romantic," Katie said, taking Jade's hand and squeezing it.
"That's cute. But dressing up as zombies representing the lesbian shows that got canceled this year is definitely not as romantic as dressing up as characters from those lesbian shows."
"I just want one sapphic show to make it. Paper Girls-"
"Not this again," Jade said, beginning to change into her Calliope Burns tracksuit top.
"I got invested! The trailers suckered me in with promises of lesbians and time travel, only for KJ not to confess and the show to get canned. Amazon didn't even give it a chance."
"We need fewer billionaires and more butches," Jade agreed, finishing the ensemble with some light makeup. "Are you almost finished getting dressed, Juliette?"
"Almost, one second." Katie adjusted the fake stake sticking through her chest and leaned over. "Can I kiss you?"
"Mm-hm. But don't smudge my makeup."
"Do you think people are gonna know who we are?" Katie asked after the kiss.
"Maybe, maybe not. Netflix didn't exactly advertise this show a whole lot."
"Season 2 could've been so good…"
"Well, we've got the look down, babe. What if we made season 2 ourselves?"
Katie lit up, "You mean it?"
"Of course I do. I know all our friends would help."
"That would be so much fun!" Katie was thoroughly cheered up now.
Jade squeezed Katie's hand, "We can talk about it more later. We're going to be late to the party."
"Do you think I should dye my hair brown for the fan season?" Katie asked as they walked across campus to the party zone.
"I think you're perfect as you are. Well…"
Jade gave her a once over, "You could use a bit more fake blood, but otherwise you're perfect."
"You're perfect too. I couldn't ask for a better Vampire Hunter girlfriend."
"And I couldn't ask for a better Vampire. Let's go blow everyone's socks off with our amazing costumes."
"Let's."
