Jessica Pearson, one of the three Managing Partners at PSL, steps onto the roof of the building and gasps softly when she sees Mike Ross, fiancé of Rachel Zane and a fraud who's working as a lawyer without a degree, standing on the roof, his head and shoulders slumped as he stares into the city distance.

"Mike, are you okay?" The lawyer asks gently as she comes over to her young employee. She watches as Mike turns her head towards him and she sees his eyes red and puffy, telling her that Harvey's puppy has been crying before she came up. Her heart breaks for him. As far as she knows, Mike's only cried once and that was when he lost his grandmother. Mike shakes his head.

"They'll be gone 18 years tonight, Jessica." He says. Jessica instantly knows who he's talking about: his parents. Jessica walks closer to Mike.

"18 years I've been without my Mom and Dad, I didn't get to say 'I love you' one last time or get one last hug because I was a brat and told my Dad that going out to celebrate his first date with my Mom was stupid, when I got up the next morning Grammy told me that there was an accident and they didn't make it. They died thinking I was angry at them." By the time he's finished, Mike has tears streaming down his face but neither he or Jessica care, they both know that he's never grieved for his parents properly. Jessica doesn't hesitate when she wraps an arm around him and lets the younger man cry into her shoulder, getting her Ralph Laurent trench coat covered in his tears. She knows he has get all this out now otherwise he'll continue ripping all their heads off like he's been doing for the past week, the only heads he hasn't bitten off are Jessica, Rachel, Donna and, Karina, Harvey, seeing as they kind of knew why he was in this mood but if anyone else came within a foot of Mike, he'd go all angry pitbull on them, especially Louis, god the lawyer has been winding mike up more and more this past week despite all of them having several conversations with him that he wasn't to speak to Mike without Harvey present, so Harvey could hold the man he thought of as a younger back went he eventually goes for the balding lawyer.

"Can I ask you something?" Mike asks her in a whisper. Jessica looks at Mike and smiles at him. "Sure, you can ask me anything." She replies warmly.

"Do you think that it was my fault my Mom and Dad were killed that night?" Mike asks, Jessica's eyes widen: how was she supposed to answer this one?

"What do you mean by that, Mike?" She retorts, trying to hide the shock and surprise she is feeling at being asked this question. Mike looks out at the distance, licking his lips with his tongue before explaining.

"I mean, if I had hugged my parents one last time and given them one last 'I love you, or if I wasn't a brat, do you think they'd still be alive today, right now?" Mike explains as if he's just explained how to make his confusing coffee he has everyday to her. Jessica sighs as she tightens her arm around him, knowing he won't like this explanation.

"Mike, nothing you could have done differently the night would've helped your parents or could have changed the outcome, you can't be blaming yourself for their deaths because: A, you were a child, and B, the driver who hit them was beyond the legal limit to drive. It wasn't your fault they died." Jessica tells him as softly as she can, pulling him closer to her again. She smiles as the younger man snuggles closer to her, not caring that she's the Managing Partner of the law firm beneath their feet. Even though she's not a mother to any biological kids, having spent years reining in Harvey and Louis and now, Mike, has made her sort of like their mother figure, even if they don't acknowledge it or call her 'Mom.' and that's just fine with her, because even if they don't know it and no what age hey are, everyone still needs a Mom.

"You're a great Mom, Jessica." Mike whispers against her shoulder. She whips her head back at him: how did the kid know what she was thinking? Mike chuckles "Jessica, you've spent years reining me, Harvey and Louis in, only you could rein all three of us in at the same time, so if that doesn't say 'Mom, I don't know what will." the young man says tiredly. Jessica remembers Rachel telling all of them that Mike hasn't gotten nearly enough sleep in the past week and he desperately needs it.

"Mike, come back to my office and take a nap, no arguments." Jessica orders him. Mike nods and follows her off the roof without any protests and curls up on her couch, falling into a light slumber with Jessica keeping an eye on him, like a mother should, no matter any age their 'child' maybe, everyone still needs a mother and Jessica Pearson is the best mother he could have ever ask for.
