Unknown battlefield
"They are gone, they are all gone!" Naruto cried out as he saw the lifeless bodies of the ones, he held close to him. As he saw the headless body of Kakashi and the slaughtered body of Rock Lee, the rage inside of Naruto had reached levels he had yet to experience. Even in sage mode, Naruto was unable to stand up to the threat.
Only himself, Anko Mitarashi, and a few other shinobi remained from the chaos and destruction that Hiruko caused to the village. As he glared at his reflection from the puddle of tears, Naruto was able to see Kyuubi laughing at his dispair.
"Come on, use my chakra. Let me free. What use is all this power if your world is destroyed?" Kyuubi declared.
Hearing this made Naruto's eyes go wide. The fox had a valid point. What was the point in keeping Kyuubi locked away to protect a world that would soon be destroyed? It wasn't long before Anko, the former proctor of the chunin exams had gotten to the blond.
"Naruto, what are we going to do? This monster, he's nothing like we've ever face." Anko declared.
"I'm going to release him. I'm going to awaken the full power of Kyuubi." Naruto informed the woman.
"What? He'll destroy everything." Anko declared.
"I know. But what is the point if Hiruko is going to destroy anything anyway?" Naruto asked.
"You've got a point. Alright, let's do it." Anko said.
Looking at the sight before him, Kyuubi couldn't help but wonder about the woman. "I've seen her. I know the pain she's had. It was the same as Naruto's pain." Kyuubi mentally thought.
"Hey! Fox! Help me out here! Do you want to go wild? Well, now is your chance!" NAruto declared.
"This is my chance. I can be free of this brat. No longer will I ever be locked away inside a human. Who cares if we're all killed? I'll resurface in five years." Kyuubi thought as he glared at the sight of Naruto.
"What are you waiting for? Why aren't you helping me?" Naruto asked with annoyance.
"Bring the woman here." Kyuubi ordered.
"Huh? You mean Anko? I can't bring her here. We're inside my mind." Naruto said.
Kyuubi sighed before a burst of red chakra formed and Anko had stood right next to him. "What the hell? Where am I?" Anko asked as she saw NAruto and then the nine tailed fox that attacked the village sixteen years ago.
"Haha! You mortals never cease to entertain me." Kyuubi said with a low mutter.
"Are you going to help us or not?" Naruto asked as his voice grew with rage.
"Shut up, brat. You, Anko Mitarashi. I'm curious about something." Kyuubi said.
Anko was shaking slightly. "What are you curious about?" Anko asked.
"In my sixteen years of living, I've never met anyone with a harsher life than Naruto. In fact, you're the only person I've ever seen that wasn't a Jinchuriki to be treated with such hate. Why? Why not retaliate? You could have easily convinced the Gaki to unleash his power and take vengence on those who treated you the way they did." Kyuubi said.
Anko looked at the fox with a continuing surprised expression. "I don't know." Anko said with a studder.
"Haha! Don't lie, I can detect when someone is lying along with feeling their negative emotions." Kyuubi explained.
"I guess it's because, if I were to retaliate, it would have proved they were right. It would have shown that I'm exactly like my former master." Anko declared.
"Yes, you're telling the truth." Kyuubi said.
Naruto looked at the purple haired woman with shock. "Anko? You were hated too?" Naruto asked in disbelief.
Anko turned and gave NAruto a slight smile. "Yeah, I'm just like you. I may not have a massive fox inside of me. But I've experienced the hatred and lonliness that you've gone through. It's actually why I played with you during the second exam." Anko said with a chuckle.
Naruto gave a slight smile at the purple hair woman. "But why? Why did you act like such a psychopath?" Naruto asked.
"Don't act like you haven't done the same." Kyuubi declared. Naruto looked up at the fox with a confused look. "You wore a mask too. It was the mask of the idiot. The only reason you wore orange, acted like an idiot, and pulled pranks, was because on the inside, you were suffering. The attention the villagers gave you was what you desired, even if it wasn't the right kind of attention." Kyuubi explained to the boy.
Naruto looked down as he knew the fox was right. Anko walked to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. Naruto looked up and saw a soft smile. Though it was just a smile, to the blond, a smile like that meant the world to him. Naruto then stood up as he looked at the fox. "Kyuubi, we need to stop this guy. I'm willing to give up my body and my sanity if it means he's gone." Naruto said.
"I have a better proposition for you." Kyuubi said.
"Huh? What are you talking about? Can't you see that we're in the middle of a war?" Naruto asked until he was hit in the head by Anko.
"Shut up and listen." Anko growled. Naruto nodded and looked up at the fox.
"I can destroy this world and send the two of you into another world. It will be similar to your own. You will retain all of your knowledge, jutsu, and abilities. However, I will cease to exist." Kyuubi said.
"What? You can do that?" Naruto asked in disbelief.
"Yes, but if we're to do it. We need to do it now." Kyuubi said.
Naruto looked at Anko with the same pondering expression she was giving him. "Kyuubi, before you do anything. I want to know your name." Naruto said.
This made the giant fox's eyes open why. "Why do you care to know my name?" Kyuubi asked.
"Like Anko and myself, you went through the same thing. You were hated and feared by everyone. While I'm sure it didn't affect you like it did us, that doesn't make any less painful. You are our friend and as friends, we'd like to know your name." Naruto said with a warm smile.
Kyuubi sighed. "My name is Kurama. You are the first person to ever shown me an act of kindness. As a gift for all the suffering I've given you, I'm going to provide you with a special seal. I'm going to transfer eight of my tails inside of you. You will find yourself to be much stronger, but you won't have the negative effects that using my chakra has. I will also do this to the girl. Except, she will receive a single tail since she's not a Jinchuriki or an Uzumaki." Kurama explained.
"Thank you, Kurama." Anko said.
"Alright, that's enough of this emotional stuff. I have a mission. Naruto, Anko, make sure in this life, you two sticks together." Kurama said and then suddenly the entire world went black and both NAruto and Anko were surronded by a burst of crimson chakra.
Uzumaki residence (Four years ago)
Naruto woke up and was looking around. "Was that a dream?" Naruto asked himself as he stood up and went to his bathroom. He was shocked at the sight before him. Instead of being twelve, scrawny and short, his body remained five foot four and he looked about one hundred and thirty pounds. Looking at his left arm, Naruto noticed black markings that appeared like a standard tattoo but had the seals and symbols of what he needed to draw on Kurama's chakra.
Stepping outside, Naruto noticed the hokage monument didn't have Tsunade's face on it. He quickly checked the calander and realized this was two days before the graduation exam at the academy. Remembering where Anko lived, Naruto decided he would pay her a visit. However, before leaving, he made a transformation into how he looked before.
Naruto was running and noticed the glares of hatred and disgust by the villagers. He found Anko's home and started knocking on the door. When nobody answered, he decided to kick the door down where he found a sleeping Anko.
"Anko, wake up." Naruto said as he shook her and received a punch to his face.
"I don't know what balls you had that made you want to do this, but you are about to lose them." Anko said as she got up and saw Naruto. "Naruto?" Anko asked.
Naruto gave a nod and disabled his transformation and appeared how he looked. "It seems we've been brought back two days prior to my graduation at the ninja academy." Naruto declared.
"Why do you think it was this time in particular?" Anko asked with a thinking glare.
"Wait, I painted the hokage faces. When Iruka sensei caught me, he took me out to ramen, and I decided that I was going to give it my all. I failed the exam and Mizuki told me to steal the forbidden scroll of sealing. That's when I learned that I contained Kurama inside of me and I graduated. Then I was placed on Kakashi's team." Naruto said.
"Wait a minute, isn't Kurama gone?" Anko asked.
Naruto gave a nod. "The villagers and shinobi must not have realized it. Okay, what do we do?" Naruto asked.
"Why are you asking me?" Anko asked.
"Aren't you the jonin? I'm a mere genin, not even!" Naruto responded.
It was then a knock on the wall could be heard from Naruto destroying Anko's door. "You two are to report to Lord Hokage's office, now." the Anbu said before he vanished in a shun shin.
Naruto transformed back into his younger self and the two proceeded to the hokage's office. As they walked, the two noticed how they were receiving looks from the villagers and shinobi. A woman with black hair and crimson eyes came running up.
"Hey, Anko. What are you doing?" Kurenai asked as she looked at Naruto.
"Hey, Kurnenai. We're currently on our way to the hokage's office. I don't know why, but I can't afford to dilly dally." Anko said and they proceeded to the hokage's tower.
Hokage's Office
Naruto and Anko knocked on the door and when Hiruzen told them to enter, he was shocked to see that Naruto didn't barge in and greet him in his familiar tone. "Hello, Lord Hokage." both Naruto and Anko said with a bow.
Hiruzen went through a series of hand seals. "Alright, I've got privacy barrier along with a silencing seal up. Do you two know why I've called you?" Hiruzen asked in a serious tone. "I was watching Naruto through my crystal ball to make sure he was fine. Suddenly, his body was covered in crimson chakra. I believed Kyuubi had something to do with it. However, I felt Anko's chakra do the same thing at a much lower level. Now, please tell me what's going on." Hiruzen said in a stern tone.
"Lord Hokage, what I'm about to tell you is going to sound unbelievable. I'm going to ask that you don't interrupt." Naruto said in a serious tone.
"He's being serious. Naruto doesn't act serious unless it's very serious." Anko said. Naruto gave her an annoyed look before sighing.
"Alright, go ahead." Hiruzen said.
Naruto began explaining everything that happened with Hiruko attacking Konoha four years into the future. He also explained the events that took place with Orochimaru's invasion, the Akatsuki, and everything else. "Sasuke leaves the village to go to Orochimaru for power. Kakashi, the worse possible sensei you could ever give someone, dedicated his soul focus on him. Sakura was a joke. Then, don't get me started on Jiraiya because I find him, I'm going to launch a rasengan up his ass that he'll never want to peep again!" Naruto said.
Hiruzen looked at the two in disbelief. "So, you two are from the future?" Hiruzen asked.
"Yes. In two days, Mizuki is going to have me steal the Forbidden Scroll of Sealing. I'll then master the Shadow Clone Jutsu and kick his ass. Then, I'll be allowed to graduate for my performance. Since I have too much chakra, the clone jutsu was impossible for me to perform. You'll then have me placed on Kakashi's team with Sakura and Sasuke. You think that I'll guide Sasuke off the path of darkness and Kakashi will be able to cope with the loss of my father and his crush. However, that doesn't work at all." NAruto explained.
"I see... Tell me, Naruto. What do you suggest that I do?" Hiruzen asked.
"Keep Kakashi in Anbu. Yes, it's a dark world. However, Kakashi was the best Anbu you ever had, aside from Itachi. Next, place Anko as team seven's sensei. The teams you create are an absolute joke and you should have had your head examined. What I propose as the best team is having me with Shino and Ino. Shino's an excellent tracker along with his long ranged ninjutsu. Ino will be an excellent medic and doesn't hate me like Sakura does. Hinata is a nice girl, but she's too focused with her crush on me. Anko will get Shino and Ino to be their best." Naruto said.
"Okay, what about the other teams?" Hiruzen asked.
"Kurenai sensei wants a team of trackers. I get it, but it doesn't work. I'd place Kiba on her team because she will act like his mother and correct his arrogance. Though, that doesn't happen till after Sasuke abandons the village. He does well with Hinata, however, I believe Sakura will be better. She needs a female role model and I think Kurenai is the best. Sasuke should be placed on their team too. Again, Kurenai offers excellent motherly care and I think she would do better than Kakashi in keeping him in line. Also, she could fix his arrogant attitude." Naruto said.
"So, you want Asuma to have Hinata, Shikamaru, and Choji?" Hiruzen asked.
"Well, we didn't have many options. Hinata will work well with Choji because unlike Sakura and Ino, she understands what it's like to be insecure. Shikamaru will still be lazy, but I think Asuma will be able to make it work better than Ino." Naruto explained to the aged hokage.
"I see. Okay, is there anything else I should know?" Hiruzen asked.
"Yes, during the chunin exams, Orochimaru will plan to give Sasuke his curse mark. I've already been able to stop it. So, in the third round, I need to fight him. Do what you have to do, we both make it anyway. Kabuto is a spy for Orochimaru and has all the information he needs. I suggest we don't bother with anything, but I will remind Ibiki because after the second stage, he will forfeit. Orochimaru will be disguised as a Kusa ninja. Next, Rasa, the fourth Kazekage will be killed by Orochimaru. This is the best-case scenario for Gaara. You end up fighting Orochimaru and though you fight hard, you sacrifice yourself to seal his arms which proved to be pointless since he can switch bodies. So, I'm going to need you to hold off on that." Naruto said with a chuckle.
"Well, if that's everything." Hiruzen said but was cut off by the blond.
"Tsunade. She needs to return. No matter what problems she has, she will get over them. She wants to run the hospital and create a medical program for Konoha. We aren't war, not yet. So, let her. Her assistant, Shizune will also be with her. Finally, two weeks after team seven is formed, Tazuna, the famous bridge builder of wave, he will request a C rank mission. It's an A rank mission that will have Gato and Zabuza Mommochi trying to kill us. Make sure you turn it into a D rank mission but give us an S rank assassination. This will allow us to have a better record for the chunin exams and will set in course everything I need it to." Naruto said with a smile.
"Naruto, where would you scale yourself at?" Hiruzen asked while narrowing his eyes at the blond.
"In my current state, I could probably go toe to toe with the Anbu. In my sage mode, I can easily take down Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade at once. Oh, and I was able toa waken my kekkei genkai, thanks for the heads up." Naruto said.
Hiruzen's eyes opened wide. "Wait, you have a bloodline? What is it?" Hiruzen asked.
"I guess you didn't know either. I have a strong Wind affinity with a power lightning as well. I can use the swift release which makes me nearly on par with dad's Hiraishin. Speaking of which, I would like to have my family's compound for myself and Anko." Naruto said.
"Wait, Naruto. Why do you want me to live with you?" Anko asked with a blush.
Naruto looked at her with a blank face. "You're my friend. Plus, you went through the same hell as I did. Remember, Kurama told us to stick together." Naruto said.
"Who is Kurama?" Hiruzen asked.
"Oh yeah. So, Kurama doesn't exist anymore. He sacrificed his life so Anko and I could be transferred into a new world. However, I received eight tails worth of power while Anko received a single tail. Since the Akatsuki are collecting the tailed beast, I want it to be a secret about Kurama's disappearance. I will end up fighting Kisame and Itachi. I'll kill the Kiri ninja and we will bring Itachi back and eliminate Danzo. Speaking of the old war hawk, root is still active. He has Shisui's eye and is able to manipulate people." NAruto said.
"Shisui declared he could do it only once every ten years." Hiruzen said with a shocked look.
"Shisui wanted to control the entire clan, so yeah, that does make sense. However, Danzo has the first hokage's DNA inside of him which allows his constant recovery along with the ten sharingans. Let's wait till Itachi's return and then we will eliminate him." Naruto said.
After a few moments of talking, both Naruto and Anko received the key and proceeded to the compound. NAruto felt at home and for the first time in her life, Anko felt cared for. The two choose their own rooms with Naruto having the master and Anko having his old room. They realized they would need groceries but since NAruto is filthy rich, running out of food would not be a problem. That night, Naruto and Anko went to their rooms while Naruto began preparing how the graduation exams were going to go.
