Chapter 26
Since learning that the cancer came back Kukuro and Kiba are very sad and don't want to lose each other. Namaru and Naruto went the next day to see Tsunade about the test results. Tsunade: Hello you guys how's it going? Naruto: Going alright I guess just worried about him. Tsunade: I know you are. Namaru: So what did the tests say? Tsunade*trying not to cry*: The cancer's back. Namaru: I kind of had a feeling that it was but wanted to be sure first. Tsunade: I know. Naruto: Oh man! This is so sad! Namaru: It is sad honey! I don't want us to lose each other! Naruto: I don't either honey! But the thing is we have to tell your sister. Namaru: I don't want her to worry though! Naruto: I know you don't but what can we do? Tsunade: Are you wanting to do chemo or any of that? Namaru: Not really because I went through all that beforehand and all it did was delay the spread. Tsunade: But it may help! Namaru: Nah! I've made my decision not to go through with that and also I was so sick from that before so it's not worth it. Naruto: Oh honey! I don't want to lose you! Namaru: I don't either but what choice is there? Naruto: I don't know honey but this is heartbreaking*cries* Namaru: Oh honey! So much for working at a place with toxic chemicals! Tsunade: Well? Kurkuro has it too! Namaru: Oh shit! Poor Kiba! Tsunade: Well? Kurkuro said the same thing you did! That he doesn't want to go through with the chemo either. Namaru: Well? I made my choice so there's not much I can do. They leave the clinic after scheduling and ultrasound. Naruto: This sucks! Namaru: I know it does honey and I'm sorry that I don't want to do treatment again. Naruto: You're fine honey. They get home and go inside when Namaru starts crying really hard saying: Why did this have to happen?! Naruto: I don't know honey but let's make the best of it. They go lay down and rest. Shio,Monokie,Kai and Yuki are all still playing, bragging about their hair. Shikamaru*thinking*: These kids are my world! And Sakura is too! The kids go running to Kakashi who's on the couch sitting there by himself when they go flooding him with hugs saying: We love you! Kakashi: Oh you guys know I'm crazy about you! Shikamaru: Oh dear! Sakura: Aww how adorable! Kakashi smiles*thinking* I love these kids as if they were my own! I also love their mother more than anything but she's happy with Shikamaru! *feels an ache*Sakura: Are you okay? Kakashi: Yeah I'm alright. As the weeks go by Namaru's getting weaker and weaker. Naruto's trying to hang in there but he goes over to Shikamaru's house to tell them the bad news about Namaru. Sakura: Hey Naruto! Where's my brother? Naruto: I have to tell you guys something. Shikamaru: what? Naruto: Uh I don't know how to say this but it came back. Kakashi: Oh no! Naruto: Yeah and he refused to do treatment this time. Kakashi: You know? Iruka Did the same thing! Naruto: I know he did and so he's very weak and was too weak to come over with me. Sakura*in Tears*: Oh dear! Kakashi gives Sakura a hug as she cries really hard. Shikamaru: I'm so sorry Naruto! This whole thing sucks! Naruto: You can say that again! Shikamaru: So? Did she say how much time he has? Naruto: No she didn't say actually but we're going to have an ultrasound in a couple of weeks. Shikamaru: Oh man! *They hug each other as Naruto cries really hard* Kids: What's going on? Sakura: Your uncle is sick. Kids: Aww! Yuki: His sickness came back? Monokie: Oh no! Shio: Oh man! Kai: Sorry to hear that Uncle Naruto. Naruto: It's okay you guys *The kids go to hug their uncle* Thank you guys! Kids: No problem! The kids go play with their toys in their room while Sakura and the others talk to Naruto. Sakura: When did you guys find out? Naruto: About a couple weeks ago but at first he didn't want to say anything because he didn't want you to worry but I told him that he had to tell you something. Sakura: Thanks for coming over to let me know. Naruto: Yeah I know you have your hands full so I don't want to take much of your time you guys. Shikamaru: You know we're here for you buddy. Naruto: I know you are! And thank you. Shikamaru: No problem. Naruto: Well? I'm gonna get going you guys. Kakashi: You keep us posted. Naruto: I will Sakura: If you guys need anything let us know! Naruto: I will do that. Shikamaru walks Naruto outside so they can talk. Sakura*thinking to herself*: He's never done that before? Hmm Shikamaru: Are you gonna be okay? Naruto: Yeah I should be, it's just that he's getting weaker and weaker by the day! Shikamaru: Damn! That sucks! Naruto: it does suck but what can I do? Shikamaru: Well? If you ever need to talk to vent you know I'm here for you right? Naruto: I know you are and I appreciate it! Shikamaru: Need a hug? Naruto: Sure! Shikamaru gives Naruto a hug while he cries really hard. Shikamaru: Are you sure you're gonna be okay? Naruto whispers in his ear: I like being in your arms by the way. Shikamaru whispers back: I like having you in my arms. Naruto: I'll be in touch. Shikamaru: Okay Naruto walks away when he gets down the street and stops when he sees Shikamaru running to him. Naruto: Did I miss something? Shikamaru kisses him on the lips then says: I'm so sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me lately. Naruto whispers In his ear: I want you too buddy but I know you're with Sakura. Shikamaru*with tears in his eyes*: Yeah I know that I am but I don't know what I'm feeling but! Naruto: I don't either but It's wonderful though! Shikamaru: Tell Namaru hello! Naruto: I will! Naruto walks away as Shikamaru stands there with tears rolling down from his eyes*thinking*: Oh man when Sakura wraps her arms around him asking: Are you okay? Shikamaru: Yeah, just worried about him. Sakura: We are too honey.
Chapter 27
Naruto gets home to take care of Namaru when he comes out walking really slow saying: Man! This sucks so bad! Naruto: Oh honey! Namaru: I'm just in pain all the time. Naruto: I know you are, baby. Kurkuro's laying down in bed while Kiba's Laying down beside him when Kurkuro says: Thank you for laying with me. Kiba: No problem honey. I'm just worried about you dear! Kurkuro: I know, I can see it in your eyes, Kiba: why you and Namaru?! Kurkuro: Not sure why honey. Kiba: Well? Because I know Naruto's crazy about him like I'm crazy about you! Kurkuro: Yeah we worked at a place that had toxic chemicals which we didn't know about until they closed the place down. Kiba: Yeah I know babe. Namaru's laying down on the couch when he decides to get up then begins to fall when Naruto catches him saying: Let me know when you want to stand up. Namaru: Sorry honey I thought I was able to stand up. Naruto: It's okay babe. Shikamaru's at home with Sakura and the kids who are with Kakashi outside playing in the yard when Sakura asks: Does he know what stage my brother's cancer is in? Shikamaru: No he doesn't honey he said they're supposed to find out when he goes for the biopsy next week. Sakura: Oh okay hope it's not in the last stage! Shikamaru: I hope not either*thinking* Oh Naruto! You poor thing! Naruto takes Namaru for his biopsy to see what stage the cancer is in when Kiba and Kurkuro come for the same thing. Namaru: Hey Kurkuro. Kurkuro: Hey Namaru Oh man how are you feeling? Namaru: To be honest? Weak! Kurkuro: Me too man it sucks! Namaru: Yeah I know it does. Tsunade: Hello you guys! Kurkuro: Hey Tsunade. Namaru: Hey there! Tsunade*thinking*: Oh man they're getting weaker by the day it looks like dammit! Okay you guys ready for your test? Namaru: As ready as we can be I guess. They take them in for their biopsies while Naruto and Kiba sit out in the waiting room worried. Kiba: Namaru looks weak. Naruto: Kurkuro does too poor things! Kiba: I know and I don't want to lose him! Naruto: I don't want to lose Namaru either! Kiba: Well? Let's just hope for the best for both of them. Naruto: Yeah but I know Namaru is getting really weak. Kiba: Oh damn is he? Naruto: Yeah Kiba: Oh man! Tsunade completes the biopsies and sends them to the lab as a STAT order. Tsunade: We should have the results pretty soon guys. Namaru: I'm scared. Kurkuro: I am too an hour later Tsunade gets the results and she has tears in her eyes. Kurkuro and Namaru: So what does it say? Tsunade: It doesn't look good Namaru. Namaru: I kind of figured that with how weak I'm getting. Tsunade: Kurkuro it's not looking good for you either! Kurkuro: I kind of figured that too since my strength is diminishing. Tsunade: I'm so sorry you guys! Namaru: Well? It is what it is. Kurkuro: Yep! Tsunade calls in Naruto and Kiba telling them the results when they both cry. Tsunade: I'm so sorry you guys! Naruto: Well? Just have to make the best of it then! Kiba: Yeah but I don't want to lose him! Tsunade: I know you guys don't. They all leave crying really hard as they all walk outside. Naruto puts Namaru in the car while Kiba puts Kurkuro in the passenger seat in his car. Kurkuro: Oh Kiba! I love you so much! Kiba: I love you too honey! Namaru: I love you Naruto! And you know what my wish is if I was to pass away? Naruto*In tears* what? Namaru: For you and Shikamaru to be together. Naruto just looked at Namaru stunned, saying: What made you think of something like that?! Namaru: Because of the way he looks at you and acts around you. Naruto: I haven't noticed anything. They drive home as Namaru sleeps in the passenger seat when they get home Naruto takes Namaru inside for him to lay down and sleep when he starts to cry. Namaru: Hey don't cry honey. Sakura's in the bathroom with Kakashi looking for the stuff to remove the makeup off his face. Sakura: Those girls! Kakashi: Oh they were just wanting to have some fun! She gets some cotton balls and Puts the stuff on Kakashi's face as the stuff comes off. Kakashi: Is it helping? Sakura: Yes it sure is! Kakashi: Oh good! Sakura: Okay I got it all off your face. Sakura's sitting on the couch with the children when she sees Shikamaru go outside for some air. Kakashi: Something's going on Sakura: Yeah not sure what though because he won't tell me. Kakashi: I see The kids end up falling asleep and Sakura stands up from the couch about to go outside when Kakashi wraps his arms around her waist. Sakura: You okay? Kakashi: Just concerned about him. Sakura: I am too. Shikamaru's outside sitting on the porch getting some fresh air when he drifts into a daydream about Naruto. In daydream: Oh Shika! A few weeks go by and Namaru's getting worse and weaker than ever as Naruto feels so heartbroken and depressed. Shikamaru's attraction to Naruto grows stronger by the day but he knows that Namaru needs him right now and it also breaks his heart seeing Namaru the way he is. Sakura: He looks so bad! Shikamaru: Yes he does! Kakashi: Poor Naruto! He didn't deserve this! Sakura: No he didn't, oh my poor brother! Tsunade stops by Naruto's house to check on Namaru. Naruto: He's bad Tsunade Tsunade: I know and I'm so sorry you're having to go through this! Naruto: Well? What can I do? Tsunade: How are you doing? Namaru: I'm in a lot of pain and I'm so weak that I can hardly move. Tsunade: Oh Man! Naruto: It's bad huh? Tsunade: I'm afraid it is*tears roll down from her eyes* Naruto: How much time? Tsunade: Oh I'm not sure but it's not much I can tell you that! Namaru: I can't stand being in pain and suffering. Tsunade: Oh Namaru! You poor thing! Then Kiba and Kurkuro stop by to see Namaru. Naruto answers the door crying saying: Hey guys! Kurkuro: How is he? Naruto: Not good you guys! Kurkuro sees Namaru and cries really hard saying: Oh you poor thing! Namaru: Hey! Don't cry you guys! Tsunade calls Sakura saying her brother's not well at all and that they need to come over. Sakura: Oh no! Shikamaru: Kakashi You go with her, I'll stay here with the kids. Kakashi: Okay? They go to Naruto's house and when they walk in they see Namaru laying there like a vegetable. Sakura*crying*: Oh my gosh! Namaru! Namaru: I'll be okay sis! Just know that I'll be watching over you guys. Kakashi: Oh man buddy! That was when Sakura and Kakashi both felt the baby move. Sakura: Oh wow! Kakashi: Uh baby just moved? Sakura: Yes! Four months have passed and Sakura's at the end of her pregnancy as Kakashi and the kids are keeping a close eye on her since they think she's gonna go into labor anytime now. Also Kurkuro's health is slowly improving but even though the cancer has diminished, he still has to go get checked every so often.
