the fallen knight Doberman Claw has long been known for his follies and failures, but what if at heart he was still loyal to the royal family and knighthood that evicted him? what if he must help the paw patrol rescue knights to find and destroy the evil twin of the mystic sword Excaliber known as Caliburn before the duke of flapping-ton can use it against the world!

SWORD OF DARKNESS-RESCUE FIRST RETREAT LATER PART 3

(CASTLE BASEMENT/932HRS)

Claw walks up to the east wall and looks for a hidden switch when he notices a chest that looks old and ragged and did not look like it belongs in a royal castle at all, curious he moves the old chest that contained who knows what, as he then looks at the stones on the wall he finds what he is looking for as he spies nine stones that are almost perfect squares arranged in a small three wide by three high square. He mashes them in the following order: upper left, center, bottom right, bottom left, center, top right, as he mashes the last stone there is a groaning as the wall pulls sideways in a five by five foot panel door to reveal an old cave system which is what he is looking for as he notifies the rescue knights of their way in. Claw turns around to check and make sure he is still undetected as he hears the rescue knights approach the entry way. Claw turns around and says "Rescue the princess and the earl, I will distract the duke at all costs, then we fall back to adventure bay-wait, why are you here Chase?" Chase barks out his sword and says "You will not go in alone." Claw sighs and says "If you are looking for honor, you will gain nothing if you die through stupidity and foolhardiness, remain in the jet and wait for us with Marshall, the medic." Chase was sighing in defeat as he turned around and walked back down the chamber with Marshall in tow. Claws attention returns to the others and says "You have your mission, the dungeons down another floor, now go." Claw turns and walks off toward the stairway with the rescue knights in tow. Their they split up and go their separate ways as Claw activates his sword and walks up the rounded stairway for the main chamber with sword at the ready, upon reaching the throne room Claw is greeted by the duke himself leaning on the dark sword like a cane. The duke asks "How did you escape the curse?" Claw grins "I have a pure and noble purpose in life which gives me the drive to accomplish my life." The duke screams in anger while swinging with all his strength downward to cut him in half from nose to tail. Claw screaming in fear jumps sideways while blocking the slice, but Duke William readily swings his sword in a fury of rapid movements that were-at least in Claws mind-stronger and faster than they were in the previous battle. Claw thinks to himself 'Is it me or is the duke stronger and faster than last time I fought him?' the answer came as the duke jumped over his swing and countered with his own stab but Claw was just barely able to block his thrust which nearly cuts off Claws right ear. Claw shouts to the duke, not caring about his nearly chopped off ear "How long will you continue to drink from the poisoned cup of power?! When will you be satisfied?" Duke William lowered his sword and shouted his reply "I will never surrender! I must show my father I can rule a kingdom! If only to show him that I was right!" Claw lowers his own sword and sighs before he gives his reply "You are in too deep, even if you back out now, no doubt princess Catherine and Earl Richards will want your head." The duke lowers his head for a moment then returns his gaze to the doberman in front of him with a smile and the best look of normality Claw had seen from him in a long time "I know, I have what I want, I just need a way too out now and keep what I gained." But just as the last words leave Williams mouth, his eyes glow purple for a second then disappear as the duke screams and swing his sword yet again!

(PLACE CHANGE/SAME TIME)

The rescue knights look at the two cells, the one to the left housing the earl, the one on the right holding the princess and her white terrier sized pup Sweetie as the princess says "How glad we are to see you all." Skye looks around the cell block for a minute trying to figure out how to get the door open without a key when sweetie asks "Are you going to get us out of here, or are you going to stare around the cell block all day?" Rocky replies quiet venomously "Well we could let the princess and earl out and leave you in there to rot when we figure out how to get you out of there." Sweeties replied, her purple eyes filled with fear "NO! LETS NOT BE HASTY! Okay, okay, do whatever you have too, just get us out of here!" The earl looks at Ryder and asks as he lay on the cot "Where is Claw? the coward finally showed his true colors, did he?" Ryder quickly replied "No, as a matter of fact, Claw is the only reason that we are in here right now, he let us in the store room in the basement level above the dungeon. Claw said he was going to distract the duke while we rescue you." About that time Rocky gets an idea of how to get the cell doors open when he says as he runs off. "I'll be right back."

(PLACE CHANGE/SAME TIME)

Claw signals his pup pack and he blocks yet another sword blow from duke William, who now wields Caliburn like a pro! Claw is panting madly and trying not to let his stance drop from sheer exhaustion as he continues to battle the duke and buy the paw patrol the most time he can, knowing if he fails (not necessarily if he falls) then the mission will fail and the rescue knights and the royal line would die! Claw jumps another swing and spins in midair, swinging the sword so that it looked like a circular blur as he tries to maintain the attack knowing if he goes on the defensive he will undoubtedly die. The duke slices hard at the doberman downward from up high which is blocked by the dumb luck of the fallen knight. Claw is panting hard as he is driven to the ground hard. Standing with a grimace of pain, charges silently swinging his blade with a precision slash aiming just below Williams rib cage, trying to cut him in half, which fails as the duke blocks it and forces Claw back with a swing of the clashed swords, much to Claws dismay. The doberman slides back a few feet, his nails grinding on the floor as he comes to a stop. The dog is now weakened to the point of collapse as he pants, standing there in absolute silence while he debates his next move, examining the dukes fighting style in his head for a moment.

(PLACE CHANGE/SAME TIME)

Rocky returns with a sack in his robotic claw to which he says to Ryder "Pour some of this in both locks, but before you do, you must find something to hold it in with." Ryder does as the mix breed repair pup says and covers the locks with a piece of cloth as Rocky seals it with tape and places the fuses, one in each rigged charge. Ryder order the royalty to cover with their cots for the best protection they can as Rocky and Ryder light the charges at the same time and the paw patrol take cover around a nearby wall. The blowing charges rock the cell block as the room fills with smoke.

(PLACE CHANGE/SAME TIME)

The duke and Claw feel the floor tremble slightly beneath them as the charges blow. Claw grins at William and is filled with a strange reserve of strength that he never knew he had as he knows the plan is still (as far as he knows) going to plan. Claw breaths in and charges in screaming with all his strength to distract the duke for all the time that he can. Claw goes on the offensive hard and fast to keep duke William guessing his next moves, not allowing him a moments peace to consider his next move or to order his dragon! In a final gasp of strength he swings in a fury of his own with his swords inferior metal showing its weakness as it shatters like a frag grenade of metal pieces as Claw blocked duke Williams last upward swing. Claw rolls from the force of the swing and stands while saying to himself "I have done all I can to delay the duke. It is up to you rescue knights to uphold your end now." And with that he turns and runs-much to claws surprise he notices the duke is not following-out of the castle throne chamber down to the basement. The rescue knights, princess, earl, and royal pup were already gathered as Claw says "Good to see you all accomplished your mission." The group turn and run down the chamber as Claw turns to pull a lever to reseal the chamber, the door shuts behind him as he runs for the base and shouts "Is that plane of your ready for take off?!" Ryder mashes a button for the elevator to open and they come out a floor above the base (But still underground) and is surprised to find the private plane up close looks just like a chubby V-22 with jet engines rather than props. The robot dog and pilot comes out of the rear loading ramp and barks twice, to which Ryder's response is "Everything checks out, lets go!" Everyone loads into the air patroler and the jets engage and a massive tube opens to reveal the sky as the jet increases power and takes off vertically through the tube. The princess is shocked to see that it is in the water near the castle bridge. Robot dog barks to alert Ryder of a nearby object-wait-make that 2-are nearby and closing fast! Everyone sees Sparks fly by so close that they think they can reach out and touch him, an Acheros is right behind him! Claw is frantic "I have to help him-! Wait my sword is busted." Chase smiles and says as he tosses his pup pack at Claw "Use mine-wait I mean your spare." Claw has Ryder help him attach it to his back and says "Fly ahead of Sparks, I have a desperate idea." The robot pilot follows command and flies ahead of Sparks as Claw opens up the rear cargo ramp then barks out his sword and jumps out! Claw lands on Sparks Back and runs along his body as fast as he can, then jumps off Sparks tail onto Acheros and using his pincers, holds onto the saddle strap while Claw drags his sword along the wing of Acheros, causing the dragon to loose lift and fall rapidly while tilting, just as his pack decides to malfunction and that causes Claw to fall from the dragon screaming as he does so "DIDN'T THINK THIS THROUGH WELL ENOUGH!" Then he lands in his dragon saddle hard with a "AH!" Claw looks up to see Acheros hit the ground hard! (Still alive but badly hurt and unable to fly!) Claw is smiling as he screams "I just beat the legendary black dragon! Guardian of Caliburn! HA-HA!"

(PLACE CHANGE/TIME SKIP 2 HRS LATER)

The air patroler lands near a building that looks like a cross between a light house and a kids play house. The group steps out and Ryder says "Welcome to Adventure bay." The princess is first to reply "Looks like a quaint little town." The earl is more negative "does the town even have modern equipment or services?"

(PLACE CHANGE)

Claw is flying over Adventure bay with Sparks and is beholding the beauty of the little town "So this is Adventure bay, looks like a nice place to live, oh wow, what a massive farm, looks large enough to supply food for the whole town." Claw states as he sees Al and Yumi's farm from the air. He finally sees the lookout tower notices the air patroler and lands there to give himself and Sparks a much needed rest.
