Chapter 2: Forest Battles
You reach a forest entrance with a sign that says: "Pokemon Nature Trail." With a sense of adventure, you grab your pokedex to be able to learn about the different wild Pokemon you might encounter. The first 55 steps you took into the forest were uneventful. Then...you come across a Tigrio. It stares at you silently.
"Tigrio: A fighting type Pokemon. An upgraded version of the Tigro. Tigrio Pokemon love a good fight. Current Ability(s): Tiger claws. Tigerio kick. Tiger growl. Lvl 1." your pokedex says.
The Tigrio eventually growls, smiles at you, and growls again. Taking this as a battle invitation, you say, "You're on, little guy! Wolfie, I choose you!"
You release your Wolfie.
Battle!
"Tigerioooo!" the Tigerio uses its tiger claws on your Wolfie! Deals damage!
"Wolfie, use fire blast!" you call.
"Wolfieee!" Wolfie blasts the Tigerio with fire! Effective!
"Tigeriooo!" the Tigerio uses tiger growl on your Wolfie! Weak! Better luck next time.
"Wolfie, you know what to do!" you call expectantly.
"Wolfieeeeeeeeeeee!" Wolfie uses another fire blast on the Tigerio! Deals damage! Tigerio loses and flees. "Tigerio..." it says.
You decide to keep Wolfie out of its Pokeball for the rest of the forest trip. You two keep walking, and you encounter a Furyzord. Just like the Tigrio, it stares at you.
"Furyzord: A fire type Pokemon. Furyzord Pokemon are full of fury! Current Ability(s): Fury blast. Lvl 1." your pokedex explains.
"Hi, little dude. Wanna battle?" you ask.
"Fury fury!" the Furyzord replies as if it's saying yes. Wolfie jumps in front of you.
Battle!
"Furyyy!" the Furyzord uses fury blast on your Wolfie! Deals damage! Oof.
"Fire blast, Wolfie!" you call.
"Wolfieee!" your Wolfie uses its signature fire blast on the Furyzord. Deals damage!
"Furyyy!" the Furyzord uses its fury blast again on your Wolfie! Weak! Good try.
"You know, Wolfie!" you call expectantly again.
"Wolfieee!" your Wolfie uses its fire blast once again on the Furyzord. Effective! The Furyzord loses and flees, squealing.
You get an alert on your pokedex.
"Your Wolfie has upgraded to Lvl 2! New ability(s): Wolf claw!" it says.
"Yay! I taught you a new power! This is awesome!" you say excitedly.
Wolfie agrees. "Wolfie!" it says.
You two continue through the forest and come across...another Wolfie?!
"Wolfie: A fire type Pokemon. Current ability(s): Wolf claw. Fire blast. Lava Spin. Lvl 3." your pokedex explains.
"Let's do this Wolfie!" you say.
Battle!
"Wolfieee!" the wild Wolfie uses wolf claw on your Wolfie! Deals damage!
"Wolfie, use wolf claw!" you call.
"Wolfieee!" your Wolfie scratches the wild Wolfie with wolf claw. Deals damage! Karma!
"Wolfieee!" the wild Wolfie uses lava spin on your Wolfie! Effective! Oh no...
"Fire blast, Wolfie!" you call.
"Wolfieee!" your Wolfie uses fire blast on the wild Wolfie! Weak!
"Wolfieee!" the wild Wolfie finishes your Wolfie with another lava spin! Super effective! Your Wolfie loses and whines. You put it back in its pokeball.
"Wolfie." the wild Wolfie says victoriously as you run back to PTC.
