The Scarecrow Walks
Bandit was driving his family out to the countryside of Louisiana. This was Bluey and Bingo's first time in the states. The kids in the back were either on their tablets or the phone. "Isn't this great kids! You get to meet your great uncle Harold for the first time! Thomas already met him but you kids get to-" before Bandit could continue he noticed his kids weren't even listening to him. "Kids, your fathers talking to you," Chilli chimes in. Still no answer from them. "Kids!" Bandit shouted. Thomas took off his head phones and looked at his father.
"Did you say something dad?" Thomas asked. "I! Never mind," Bandit said in defeat. "Bingo! Stop chewing with your mouth open!" Bluey complained. "You can't even hear me chewing!" Bingo shot back "I can still see it!" Bluey said glaring at her sister. "What? That makes no sense!" Bingo said to her sister. "Thomas, can you tell her to stop," Bluey asked looking at their older brother. "Stop what! I'm not doing anything!" Bingo said, also looking at their older brother. "How about I get you both to stop!" Thomas said as he licked his hand and wiped it on his sisters heads. "Eww! Mum!" They both cried out.
Chilli let out a sigh as they pulled into an old farm house. "Look kids, your eight, ten and seventeen, at least try to like each other while here," Bandit said as he parked. "She started it!" Bingo said pointing at Bluey. "Did not! You did by chewing!" Bluey shot back looking at her younger sister. "You two seriously need to grow up," Thomas said, putting his phone away. "Hey! You're not off the hook either!" Bingo said, looking at Thomas. "Oh yeah? And why not?" Thomas asked, looking at Bingo. "You keep scaring us!" Bluey said, crossing her arms. "Name one time!" Thomas said, looking at Bluey. "Before we left!" Bluey said again looking at her brother. "Yeah!" Bingo said agreeing with her sister.
(20 hours earlier…)
"Bluey, Bingo, could you two grab those sheets from the laundry room for me please?" Chilli asked while carrying a basket full of clothes. "Yes!" They both said as they went into the laundry room. For some reason the light was off and the two sisters couldn't see anything. Bluey then turned on light so they could see and then they screamed. Thomas was on the ground with a knife in his throat with blood everywhere. Thomas then came to life and gasped for air and grabbed Bingo's leg preventing her from running away. "MUM!" Bluey ran away crying and screaming while Bingo tried to get away while also screaming. Then suddenly Thomas lets go of her and starts laughing really hard.
(Present day)
Bandit couldn't help but crack up laughing. "Bandit! That wasn't funny! And I still have a stain on my floor from that," Chilli said now looking at her son. "It's not my fault you're a bunch of babies," Thomas said looking at his sisters. "We're not babies!" Bluey protested "yeah we're not!" Bingo said again agreeing with her sister. "Oh look, a spider," Thomas said with a smirk. Bingo then screamed, making Thomas laugh. "I think the three of you need some growing up to do," Chilli said looking at her three kids. "Come on kids let's try to have a nice week here," Bandit said looking at his children. "Fine, but it anyone asks they were adopted," Thomas said getting out of the car. "What?! Mum!" The girls shouted. Chilli sighed as Bandit held her hand and kissed. "He's only kidding," Bandit said looking at his wife.
"I know it's just… You and Emily raised him better than that, I don't know where this is coming from," Chilli said looking at her husband. "It's just typical teenager stuff, it'll pass," Bandit said, reassuring his wife. "Yeah, you're right," Chilli said, getting out of the car. Bandit then also got out of the car. Bluey and Bingo then got out of the car and looked around. "This almost looks like Grandad's farm," Bluey said, continuing to look around. "Yeah, but this is more dark and wet," Bingo said, also looking around. "Hey there!" An old husky said coming out of his farmhouse. "Hey, uncle Harold," Thomas said with a wave. "Thomas is that you? You've grown!" Harold said as he hugged his great nephew. "Hey Harold," Bandit said with a smile. "Ah! Bandit! You haven't changed since the wedding! And who are these lovely ladies!" Harold asked, looking at Chilli and the girls. "This is my wife and my daughters," Bandit said, introducing them. "Oh! Emily had said many wonderful things about them!" Harold said as he went up to Chilli and hugged her and then shook the girl's hands.
"Let me help you settle in!" Harold said as he started to help with the bags. Bandit and Thomas also helped with the bags and went up to the house. Chilli and The girls went up to the house after Bandit, Thomas and uncle Harold brought in the bags. The farmhouse was fairly large even for Harold who lived alone. "This is a big house," Bluey said looking around. "It's a family home! Thomas's mom used to spend summers here along with your dad," Harold explained with a smile. "Thomas! Why don't you show the girls where you kids will be sleeping," Harold said still smiling. "Sure, come on," Thomas said as he grabbed his bag and started to make his way upstairs. The girls then grabbed their bags and went upstairs with their brother. Bandit and Chilli then grabbed their bags and went to the room where they would be staying.
Thomas went up to the third floor of the house and walked into a large bedroom with its own bathroom. Thomas then threw his bag on a bed near the window "you guys get those bunk beds," Thomas said as he sat down on his bed. The girls then went over to the buck bed and then made themselves at home. Bingo then looked out the window and saw a lonely scarecrow in a dead field of corn. Bingo stared at it, keeping her eyes on it. "WHAT ARE LOOKING AT!" Thomas shouted, scaring her out of her trance. "Stop!" Bingo shouted looking at her brother. Thomas couldn't help but to laugh at his sister. "Why do you have to be such a bugger!" Bluey said, defending her sister. "Caught you looking at Max," Thomas said with a smirk. "Max?" Bingo asked, looking at her brother confused. "Yep, Max there is the scarecrow and if you're lucky you'll see him walk tonight," Thomas said, crossing his arms. "W-walk?" Bingo asked, scared. "Stop it Thomas! Or I'll tell dad!" Bluey said, now getting mad at her brother. "Go ahead not like he cares anyways," Thomas said as he left the room.
Bingo sniffed while tearing up. "It's okay Bingo," Bluey said as she rubbed her sister's shoulder. "Thanks Bluey, I'm sorry about earlier," Bingo said as she hugged her sister. "I'm sorry too," Bluey said as she hugged her back. "Girls! Why don't you come down and get to know your uncle more," Chilli called to her daughter. "Okay mum!" Bluey said before looking at her younger sister and wiped her tears away and smiled at her. Bingo then had a smile before they both left the room and went downstairs. After being settled in the house everyone went to the living room for tea. Bluey then got her mother alone before tea started. "Mum, Thomas was being mean again and trying to scare Bingo again about the scarecrow," Bluey said looking up at her mother. Chilli then sighed and looked at her daughter. "I will talk to him again and if he won't listen to me then he'll listen to your dad," Chilli said reassuring her daughter. Bluey nodded before joining the rest of the family.
Thomas was about to walk into the living room with his cup of tea just until Chilli stopped him. "Thomas, can we talk?" Chilli asked, looking at her stepson. "Okay? What about?" Thomas asked while taking a drink of his tea. "Scaring your sister again," Chilli said with a stern look. "Oh come on! It was a joke! Uncle Harold told me about Max when I was her age and I turned out fine," Thomas protested. "What story?" Chilli asked. "The story he's telling right now," Thomas said as he made his way into the living room. Chilli looked into the living room as Harold was telling the story about Max. "The story goes that Max has been here a very long time! Even before this house was built!" Harold explained. "Max has been scaring crows for centuries! And even on his darkest days he walks at night to keep them away! The only time crows even stay near him is when he's ready to find a replacement!" Harold explained. Bluey and Bingo hid behind their father as the story continued. "Bandit," Chilli whispered to her husband. "Alright, maybe we should change the subject," Bandit spoke up. "What?! The best parts are coming up!" Thomas protested. "Your dad's right kid, I don't want to scare the littles," Harold said, sitting back in his chair. "Thank you," Chilli said as she rubbed her husband's back.
Thomas rolled his eyes and stood up and left. Bandit then sighed and went after his son who went outside. "Thomas? Can we talk?" Bandit asked. "Why? So can defend them like you always do." Thomas said as he walked off the porch. "Mate you know that's not fair," Bandit said, still following his son. "What's unfair is that you always take their side! Even Chilli's side of things," Thomas said now looking at his dad. "Thomas… Why are you doing this? Since when did you stop calling Chilli mum?" Bandit asked. "Since the day mom died," Thomas said before walking off to the cornfield. Bandit wanted to say something but then decided to let his son cool off. Chilli had heard what Thomas had said and felt hurt since they used to be close even when Emily was alive. "You didn't hear that did you?" Bandit asked as he saw his wife standing there. Chilli sighed and nodded. "I'm sorry babe," Bandit said with his ears folding back.
Chilli then walked out onto the porch and hugged her husband. "He'll bounce back I know it," Chilli said while hugging her husband. "Since the girls were born and then his mum he's been distant," Bandit said, still saddened. "I know, I know," Chilli said, still holding him. "I just want to help him," Bandit said looking down. "I know but maybe he just needs some space," Chilli said as she held her husband's hand. "Maybe you're right," Bandit said as they walked into the house. Meanwhile Thomas was walking down the cornfields feeling more angry than usual. "It always has to be about them always," Thomas said as he kicked some rocks. "If dad never had to fucking leave in the first place! Thomas shouted as he started to rip up some corn. "That's all he cares about!" Thomas shouted while letting some tears fall from his muzzle. Finally Thomas came across Max who was being a normal scarecrow looking at him. "I suppose you don't have any answers for me?" Thomas said with a chuckle. Max stood there silently as crows started to land on him and were staying put. "Thought not," Thomas said looking down.
Thomas then noticed another scarecrow that had fallen over. "I guess I better help you up," Thomas said as he went over to the fallen scarecrow and tried to set him back up on his pole. "You don't have a name do you? I guess we can call you Wes," Thomas said as he was tying up the other scarecrow. At the corner of Thomas's eye Max turned his head quickly looking at Thomas and looking forward again. Thomas swore he had seen Max move and was definitely afraid. "Come on Heeler he's a scarecrow," Thomas said as he got down from the other scarecrow and went in front of Max. Thomas looked at Max and then got closer to see if someone was posing as Max. Thomas looked closely and Max was indeed made of straw and not alive. Thomas took a deep breath and got on Max's pole and looked at him in his gas mask eye holes.
Again there was no sign of life inside of Max. Then suddenly Thomas gets his hand cut from Max's arm that was holding him up on the pole. "Ow!" Thomas yelped as he fell backwards. Once Thomas landed on his back all the crows swarmed into the sky making all kinds of noises. Max then fell off his pole and landed on top of Thomas. "What the hell Max!" Thomas said, trying to get the scarecrow off of him. Thomas then tired but Max felt heavy, almost as if Max was an actual body. Thomas then finally moved max off of him and then took a deep breath. "The hell?" Thomas said as he stood up from where he was laying. The air felt thin for Thomas as he recovered from what just happened. A sharp headache stabs Thomas's head making him yelp in agonizing pain. Then suddenly it stopped everything just stopped. Thomas then started to walk about to the house feeling nothing, no pain, no emotion, no nothing.
Thomas then walked back into the farmhouse and walked to the bathroom and shut the door behind him. Everyone noticed he just walked by without saying anything and just figure he was still mad. Thomas stared at himself in the mirror and felt a dark feeling wash over him. Dark thoughts raced in his mind, thoughts of rage, anger and fear were exposed to him as he gripped the bathroom counter. Thomas continued to stare at himself looking himself in the eyes. Although these eyes weren't his own, whoever Thomas was looking at in the mirror it wasn't him.
Thomas moved away from the mirror and threw up in the toilet. Thomas kept throwing up black stuff and then he felt better like himself. For a second Thomas wondered how he got back to the house but then he shook it off. "Thomas? Are you okay mate?" Bandit asked as he knocked on the door. Thomas flushed the toilet and washed his face with cold water and then opened the door. "Yeah, I'm okay, why?" Thomas asked as he looked at his father. "I thought I heard you getting sick mate," Bandit asked with concern. "Oh, it was probably bad airline food, I'm okay dad," Thomas said, taking in a breath. "Oh, okay mate, just wanted to make sure," Bandit said as he stepped out of the way for his son to come out of the bathroom. Thomas nodded and walked out of the bathroom.
Later that night at dinner. Thomas sat there in a trance staring at his food while his family were talking amongst themselves. That feeling of rage, anger and fear started to come back. Thomas felt this in the back of his neck as if someone or something was trying to take control over him. Sudden whispers were also being heard in his ears as he took his focus on the knife that was laying next to his plate. Thomas then picked it up and started to cut his steak which made the whispers go away. Thomas then started to eat his food even when his family as already half way done with their meal. Bandit noticed that Thomas was barely chewing his food and was stuffing his face with the steak. "Mate slow down," Bandit said while looking at his son.
Thomas kept going without even looking at his father. "Sweetheart slow down," Chilli said. Thomas still didn't respond. "Thomas!" Bandit shouted. Thomas snapped out of his trance and looked at his dad while swallowing his food. "What?" Thomas asked not knowing what was going on. "I asked you to slow down mate, you could've choked," Bandit said as he placed his hand on his son's arm. Thomas then backed his arm away from his dad. "It's okay I would've been fine," Thomas said as he started eating again but this time at a normal pace. Bandit nodded before going back to his food. After dinner Thomas was helping wash the dishes while Harold was making the girls laugh by telling them funny stories. Thomas was scrubbing and scrubbing the plates even though they were done and clean.
Thomas continued hearing some whispers as he scrubbed the plate. "Honey?" Chilli asked as she placed her hand on her son's shoulder. Thomas then turned and looked at her. "Y-yeah?" Thomas asked unsure what was going on. "I think the plates are clean sweetie," Chilli said as she took the plate away. "Oh, okay sorry," Thomas said looking down. "Why don't you go get some rest, it's been a long day," Chilli suggested. Thomas nodded and left the kitchen. Chilli then took over the dishes while Thomas left to go to bed. Thomas went up to the room he and his sisters were sleeping in and laid down on his bed. Thomas got under the covers and closed his eyes. Not long later… Thomas woke up to Bingo screaming. Thomas threw his covers off and saw his sisters screaming at Max who was in their bed.
"What's going- Thomas!" Bandit shouted while looking at his son. "I didn't do that!" Thomas shouted back, still half awake. "What's the problem?" Chilli asked while coming into the room and then saw the scarecrow. "This is too far mate!" Bandit said, picking up the scarecrow. "I didn't do it!" Thomas shouted again. Bluey and Bingo hugged their mother. "Then who did mate? Huh? Who?" Bandit asked angrily. "Why don't you ask them!" Thomas said, pointing at his sisters. "We didn't do that!" Bluey protested. "Yeah!" Bingo added. "The scarecrow is twice their size mate!" Bandit said as he took Max downstairs. Thomas growled as he got out of bed. "There you again! Believing them over me!" Thomas shouted "enough! You know damn well what you did mate!" Bandit said coldly while going downstairs with the scarecrow.
"What's wrong?" Harold asked until he saw Max which surprised him. "My son decided to play another joke," Bandit said as he threw Max outside. Thomas stood on the middle of the stairs having the feeling of rage take over him. "No wonder mom divorced you!" Thomas shouted. "Thomas!" Chilli said while holding her daughters by her side. "What?" Bandit asked, looking at his son. "Let him have it…"
A voice whispered into Thomas's head. "She couldn't stand to be around you! You're a deadbeat!" Thomas shouted through his teeth. Bandit was taken back from this. Thomas then stepped forward downstairs. "Y-you don't mean that," Bandit said, unsure how to handle this as Thomas was now face to face with his father. "She never wanted to be with you! She had to die to stay away from you!" Thomas shouted in rage. Bandit folding his ears down as he looked his son in the eyes. "T-Thomas stop!" Chilli said with tears running down her muzzle.
Bandit noticed his son's eyes seemed different as if this was someone else taking over the wheel of Thomas's mind. "I bet she called out Uncle Rad's name while you two were making me…" Thomas whispered with a dark laugh. Bandit then snapped and pushed his son. "Bandit!" Harold shouted. Thomas fell to the ground and then looked up at his father. Thomas's eyes were back to normal as he looked at him. "What the hell dad?" Thomas asked, very confused. Bandit then felt guilty for what he did. "Thomas, I'm sorry mate," Bandit as he steps forward to help his son up. Thomas backed away and then ran upstairs back to the room he was staying in and slammed the door. Harold then placed his hand on Bandit's shoulder. "What was that?" Harold asked, looking at the blue Heeler. "I-I don't know," Bandit replied as he looked at the old husky. "Mum, do we have to sleep in there with him?" Bingo asked her mother. "No, we'll figure out a place for you girls to sleep," Chilli said looking at her daughter's.
Thomas was in the room and started hyperventilating. Thomas then went into the bathroom and splashed water in his face. He looked into the mirror and noticed both of his eyes were a golden yellow. "What's happening to me?" Thomas asked, trying to make sense of everything. Thomas then looked down. "He'll never see you… but I do…" a voice said from behind Thomas. Thomas looked up into the mirror and saw Max standing behind him. Thomas quickly turned around to face Max. Max then grabbed Thomas by the neck and started to choke him. "I can give you everything…" Max said while staring Thomas in the eyes. Thomas looked into the eyes of a demon that was inside the gas mask that Max wore.
Meanwhile Chilli placed the girls in her and Bandit's bed to let them sleep while Bandit was talking with Harold. "I've never seen him like that ever," Bandit said while looking at his coffee cup. "What was Max doing up there?" Harold asked while looking at Bandit. "The scarecrow? I told you Thomas was playing a joke on his sisters which went way too far," Bandit explained. "I didn't see Thomas leave to go get him," Harold said, still looking at Bandit. "Then he must have snuck out to go get him," Bandit said before taking a drink of his coffee. "Bandit that scarecrow can't be moved and I'm amazed that you were able to pick him up," Harold said, still unsure. "What do you mean can't be moved?" Bandit asked. "I never told you or Emily other parts of the story about, but Max does have a history here and most of them had to do with witchcraft and devil worship," Harold explained.
"What? So are those stories true?" Bandit asked, confused. "Most of them… Max was always here like I said even before the house was built," Harold said "so… how does Max look for a replacement?" Bandit asked, remembering the story. "He looks for the most vulnerable ones, ones that have had a traumatic experience in their life," Harold answered. "Thomas lost his mother and how his relationship with me and his stepmother and his sisters…" Bandit said trying to place things together. "That's all enough for Max to choose Thomas… he loves preying on those who are in a dark place," Harold explained "oh my god," Bandit said as he and Harold jumped up from the table. "Chilli!" Bandit shouted. Chilli came out of the room and looked at her husband from the top of the stairs. "Bandit, the girls are sleeping," Chilli said, still keeping her eyes on her husband.
Suddenly Thomas dressed just like Max busted through a door and grabbed Chilli by her neck and pinned her against the wall. "No!" Bandit shouted as he ran up the stairs. Thomas stared at Chilli in her eyes. Chilli while being choked and trying to save herself looking into Thomas's eyes which were blue and brown anymore but were golden yellow. Bandit then grabbed a lamp and hit Thomas over the head with it. Thomas then dropped Chilli making her gasp for air and turned and looked at his father. "Thomas! This isn't you mate!" Bandit shouted with his ears folded back. Thomas titled his head to the right and then stabbed Bandit on his shoulder with a knife that was in his pocket. Bandit screamed in pain as he and Thomas started to struggle with each other. Bandit then ripped the knife out of his shoulder just as Thomas pushed Bandit down the stairs knocking him into Harold.
Bluey and Bingo screamed as they saw their brother dressed like Max from their doorway. "Kill them," Thomas heard Max whisper in his head. Thomas looked at them and started to walk towards them. The girls stood there screaming and crying as their brother was one his way to murder them. Chilli then got up and jumped on her son's back. "No!" Chilli shouted, as Thomas and Chilli both struggled with each other. Thomas kept slamming Chilli into the walls and pictures. Bluey then grabbed Bingo and ran up the next set of stairs up to the third floor. Thomas then grabbed Chilli and threw her over his shoulder and slammed her on the ground.
"Ah!" Chilli shouted in pain. Thomas then left her and headed up the stairs to the third floor. Groggy and in pain, Bandit got up "Harold are you okay?" Bandit asked "I'm okay! But you have to get Thomas! Max has control over him," Harold said in pain. Bandit nodded as he made his way upstairs. "Chilli!" Bandit said while going upstairs. "Bandit! He's going to hurt our babies!" Chilli shouted in pain. "It's not Thomas, it's the scarecrow!" Bandit shouted as he made it to his wife. "Save our kids Bandit! All three of them please!" Chilli said, still in pain. "I'm on it," Bandit said as he kissed her before heading up the next floor. Thomas chased his sisters to the attic. Bluey closed the door behind them and locked it. "What are we going to do?!" Bingo asked crying "I-I don't know!" Bluey shouted as Thomas started to break down the door. "Thomas stop!" Bluey shouted as she backed away from the door with Bingo by her side. Thomas then broke down the door.
The girls then screamed and ran towards the only window in the attic. Thomas grabbed a pitchfork that was up in the attic and started to follow the girls. Bluey and Bingo managed to open the window and climb outside on the roof. Thomas then grabbed Bluey's hand as she tried to get outside. Bluey screamed as she looked into her brother's eyes through the gas mask which her brother was there anymore. Bingo then slammed down the window on Thomas's hand which made him let go of Bluey. The girls then started walking away from the window and tried to find a way down from the house. Thomas then smashed the window with his pitchfork and tried to go after them. "Hey!" Bandit shouted, hitting Thomas with a bat. Thomas turned and looked at Bandit and then went after him.
Bandit then tried to hit him once more with the bat which Thomas had caught mid swing and took it out of his fathers hands. Thomas then started to choke Bandit against the way. "T-Thomas please!" Bandit said while choking. Thomas started to lose his grip on his dad upon hearing his name. "You're still in there mate! I know it!" Bandit said still struggling to breathe. A flashback flashed in Thomas's mind as he saw his Mom and Dad with him having a family moment. This loosen his grip completely for Bandit to breathe easier. "Come back son!" Bandit shouted as tried to get free. "No!" A dark voice shouted in Thomas's mind which made him revert back to being possessed. Thomas then threw Bandit to the side causing him to crash into a dresser. Thomas then went back to the window and started to chase after the girls again. Harold then came into the attic to find Bandit bedly bruised and bloody. "Bandit!" Harold shouted as he ran over to him. "I almost had my son back," Bandit said weakly as he sat up in pain.
"Then you were close! Come on, I have an idea!" Harold said as he helped Bandit up. Thomas, now on the roof, was walking slow to catch his sisters. The girls screamed as they continued to try and find a way down from the house. "Look! a hay cart!" Bluey said pointing at the cart. "It's too high Bluey!" Bingo said, looking at her sister. "We have to try!" Bluey said as she looked back at her brother who was close to them. "Jump!" Bluey shouted as they both jumped into the hay just as Thomas almost grabbed them. They landed in the hay and rolled out to the ground. "Come on Bingo!" Bluey shouted as she helped her sister up as Thomas also jumped down from the house and continued after them. "The cornfield!" Bluey shouted as they took off into the cornfield. Thomas threw his pitchfork at them but missed. Thomas growled as started walking after them. Bandit and Harold ran out of the house and saw Thomas still going. "Thomas! No!" Bandit shouted but Thomas still went into the cornfield after his sisters.
"Come on! We can still save them!" Harold said as he made a torch. "What are we doing with that?" Bandit asked, looking at the husky. "We're going to set Max on fire," Harold said looking at Bandit. Bandit nodded and then they went after Thomas and the girls. "Leave us alone!" Bluey shouted as she and Bingo ran into the middle of the field. Thomas was hot on their tails as he grabbed a corn cutting knife on his way to get them. The girls then made it to the center of the cornfield where Max's post stood. The girls then screamed upon seeing Max on his pole. Max was mummified and breathing while looking at the girls. "Get them," The mummified Max said as he continued to look at them. Then girls then back into their brother as he stepped forward raising his corn cutting tool at them. Bluey and Bingo dropped to the ground and covered themselves in fear waiting for the blow that Thomas was about to do.
"Thomas no!" Bandit shouted as he tackled him to the ground. Bandit and Thomas struggled on the ground wrestling each other Bandit grabbed the gas mask off of his son and looked at his son. "Stop! You don't want to do this!" Bandit shouted as lightning struck. Thomas punched his father in the face and got on top of him. Thomas then grabbed the corn tool and stabbed Bandit in the leg. Bandit screamed in pain. Thomas then started to choke Bandit. "I love you son! Your mum loves you! Chilli does! And your sisters!" Bandit managed to get out. Thomas started loosening his grip while looking down at his father who was desperately trying to get air. Thomas's eyes started to change back to their normal color as he was realizing what he was doing. "I'll never stop loving you son, you know that, even after you mum died I always kept my word to love you," Bandit said as Thomas started to form tears in his eyes. "Kill him! Give me life!" Max shouted with a cough. "Son please come back to us," Bandit said weakly. "NOW!" Max shouted. Suddenly Harold came out of the dark and set Max up in a blaze.
Max screamed in pain as the fire started to burn him. Thomas also screamed in pain as the spirit inside of him that was under control was dying. Thomas then got off of his dad and threw up a bunch of black stuff. Thomas gasp for air and fell over. Harold watched as Max had finally burned to death. The scarecrow was finally gone from existence. Harold then checked the girls who were crying and hugging him. Bandit then looked at his son and made sure he was okay as well. "Mate talk to me," Bandit said as he dragged himself over to his son. "D-dad?" Thomas said weakly. "Oh thank god," Bandit said as then started to cry. "My baby boys okay," Bandit said with a smile while crying. "I'm sorry dad, I'm so sorry," Thomas said looking at his father. "Shh, it's okay, it's okay," Bandit said resting on his son's chest.
Three days later… .
Thomas was packing up the car while the girls were playing tag. "I got you Bingo!" Bluey said while laughing. "Aww man," Bingo said as she turned to get Bluey back. "I got both of you!" Thomas shouted while picking them both up and laughing. The girls laughed while being held by their brother. "Alright kids let's get a move on," Bandit said while walking on his crutches to the car. "Let me help you dad," Thomas said as he placed his sisters down and went to help him. Chilli with a broken arm heads out of the house and also goes to the car. "Thanks for putting the bags in the car sweetie," Chilli said with a smile "it's no problem mom," Thomas said with a smile. Chilli nodded as Harold came out. "Where's my hugs!" Harold said. Chilli chucked and gave the old husky a hug. Bluey and Bingo also gave him a hug before heading back to the car. Bandit and Thomas also said their goodbyes to Harold and then went to the car. Thomas had taken upon the opportunity to drive his family to airport.
Harold watched his family leave and then went into the house. Harold then went into the bathroom suddenly feeling sick. The old husky then threw up black vomit in the toilet before he washed his muzzle with cold water. Harold then felt pain in his mouth and pulled on a loose rotting tooth. Harold looked into the mirror looking himself in the eyes and noticed that we're changing. Harold was confused as to why this was happening to himself since he and his family had killed Max. "Give me life…" Max's voice whispered in the wind….
