SACRAMENTO

"So, here we are!" she smiled, as they landed at SMF. "I never understood how they got those three call letters from 'Sacramento'!" she laughed.

"It's actually historic!" Jane explained, "Before 1998, it was known as the Sacramento Metropolitan Field. They upgraded the name to Sacramento International Airport after that, but the call letters remained the same. Probably was less complicated than changing it after so many years." He shrugged, with the most adorable, smug grin.

Of course he'd know about that, she thought, with a smile. "Is there anything you don't know, Jane?" She teased.

"I know a great many things," he agreed, "But it's actually true that I do not in fact know everything." He laughed at the admission. "But I'm anxious to learn, always!"

She loved that about him. Loved his childlike curiosity about everything. Loved how he never took anything for granted. Loved how he was often the most open-minded individual in the room. Would he ever stop amazing her with his words, or his questions, or his answers, or his childlike glee at each new discovery?

"Anything you're hoping to learn today?" She asked, hoping it would provide a clue to his secret plans for them.

"There is actually one question I'm beside myself with anticipation to learn the answer to," he glimmered, "but that will come later. Now, let's get a car and be on our way!"

Shaking her head with a chuckle, she agreed.

First stop was their hotel.

He insisted on carrying her heaviest bags, despite her protests that she was quite capable, thank you very much. He loved that about her. Her strength. Her fighting spirit. Her refusal to accept the easy way out. Her insistence on doing the right thing, always.

Suddenly he dropped the bags he was carrying, turned and engulfed her lips in a kiss.

She looked surprised, but not displeased.

"Sorry, couldn't help it!" He grinned, and recaptured the luggage, continuing down the hall.

They got settled in their room. Lisbon stretched out on the bed, collecting herself after a long day of air travel.

"You know that could be a quite dangerous position, my dear Lisbon," he teased, "you may have noticed that you have me in a very amorous mood!"

A quick laugh escaped her, before she tugged on his wrist - coaxing him closer. Locking onto his eyes. Pulling him onto her. Massaging her fingers through the curls above his neck. Hungrily tasting his lips. Impatiently fumbling with buttons and hooks and belts and any obstacle between her skin and his. Wanting to re-create the passionate connection they'd shared the night before. Wanting to be closer than close to this man who flipped every switch she had. Wanting to be one with him again.

He was happily surprised by her response to his flirting. More than happy to follow her lead. Happy to be taken by her. Happy to give in to every sensation she unleashed in him with every touch. Every breath. Every word. Every look. Every… gasp…

She had rolled him to his back, then climbed on top, guiding him inside of her, as she bent down to slowly kiss him. Enjoying every minute of their connected warmth. Every thrust. Every massage. Every release. Every second of contact with his azure eyes. Every utterance of love between them. They loved each other for as long as their bodies would allow, before passion built to a climax, and released into tingles, and warmth, and love-broken-open, once more.

She was awakened awhile later by soft kisses on her forehead…then her nose… then her cheeks…

"Welcome back, my love!" He smiled, with tenderness and affection in his eyes.

"Mmm… welcome back indeed!" She purred, wrapping around him with all of her limbs, endorphins still pulsing from their earlier activities. "So when are you gonna let me in on your plan, my lover of surprise? Why are we here?"

He smiled playfully and kissed her more, before answering.

"All will be revealed in due time," his warm voice rumbled, enigmatically.

"But - if that is truly the correct hour," his eyebrows shot up as he looked at his watch, "I'm afraid we'll need to start cleaning up now."

A whine escaped Teresa's lips "Mmmm… but I don't wanna!" She pulled him close for one more round of kisses, before playfully sulking to the shower.
