In loving memory of Dame Angela Lansbury

The long-forgotten realm of enchantment had gradually started to flourish once more. Every day more members of the mystical society returned to the fairy tale country. It'd become the revival of the enchanted domain—a genuine miracle, without a doubt.

However, several of King Adam's former cursed servants left, never to return. Lumiere's ex-girlfriend, Fife, departed immediately after she'd become human again. She'd implored Lumiere to go with her. She'd pleaded with him to start a new life away from these supernatural freaks.

However, he firmly informed her he'd rather live alone for the rest of his life. Moreover, he made it unmistakable that he didn't tolerate her racist views and refused to deal with her. Consequently, both had been left with broken hearts. They weren't the only ones in anguish, though.

Discrimination was a lethal poison to all it afflicted. As people's memories gradually started to return, some individuals had genuinely reformed. Sadly no magic spell could alleviate the world of hatred altogether. Some individuals will continuously judge you based on your appearance or where you come from.

Sadly you cannot change everyone's minds. However, numerous more individuals don't judge based on such hogwash. Instead, it's those individuals whose words and actions mean the most. And with those people, the world will be able to improve itself.

Two ladies were outside the shining castle in the magical rose garden, appreciating afternoon tea. One was the head housekeeper, Mrs. Beatrice Potts. The other was the ex-enchantress Rosalind. It may seem bizarre these two women were enjoying tea together. However, they'd become close friends while helping the other heal. Mrs. Potts's late husband had been Rosalind's close friend.

Both had suffered the betrayal of a former friend, Fredrick D'Arque. He'd slaughtered Mrs. Potts's husband, then spent a decade torturing the magic out of Rosalind. Yet, somehow a shared tragedy brings people closer together.

"How are things in the kitchen, Bea?" Rosalind questioned in her raspy voice. Even though it had been two years since being rescued, her voice remained a whisper. She'd gained back much of her health. However, it would take the rest of her life to recuperate from a decade of endless torture.

"Things are coming along fine. I'm delighted Chip made so many companions now that more of the old crowd has returned. I was pleased even with his father's death twelve years ago. Chip still has the same big heart," Beatrice seemed to be bursting with happiness.

"Yes, Chip is the spitting image of Alric. He would've been so proud of him. I've no doubt he'll honestly become his father's son," Rosalind replied softly. Then, wiping a tear away, Mrs. Potts answered, "That is my wish. Sadly he'll never remember his father. Yet his father lives in him, and he'll make him proud."

A faint proud smile etched its way onto the former enchantress's lips. "I'm delighted my darling Belle blossomed into a philosophical, empathetic, and strong-will woman. I couldn't ask for a better daughter."

"I'm sure you never imagined her falling in love with the king. Life is unquestionably strange. Destiny has a twisting path all its own," chuckled the housekeeper.

"Yes," Rosalind agreed as Beatrice replenished her teacup. "Even though I've lost my magic, I've realized magic comes in multiple forms. Friendship, family, and kindness, to name a few. Yet we both agree the most powerful and truest form of magic is that of love."

Mrs. Potts slowly sipped her tea and then replied. "Yes, Rosalind, I've to agree. You cannot fit love into one box. It comes in many forms, yet it binds us all together."

Rosalind had a forlorn expression. "I cast that spell of forgetfulness to protect those I love. I didn't stop to consider all the outcomes. But, yet, I wanted to protect those I love," as she traced her teacup absentmindedly.

Beatrice gave her friend a kind smile. "You had good intentions, Rosalind. But, unfortunately, occasionally, good intentions result in horrendous consequences. Yet none of us can foresee how all our actions will ripple throughout time."

"I see that now. I only wish it hadn't cost us so much to learn those lessons. Unfortunately, we both lost a decade of our lives because of my foolish choices. However, I'm extraordinarily grateful for your friendship."

"We're both mothers who've lost so much in our lives. I've forgiven you, and its time you've absolved yourself. It's been two years, and its time to start over."

"Yes, you're right, Bea. However, let's enjoy our tea for now," as they clicked their teacups.
