imagine your OTP meeting up for a horror movie night, and Person A has to take Person B into their arms because B is so easily scared
"Are you sure you want to watch it? Is not too late to change your mind," James said, looking at Hermione biting her lip. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to, love."
James loved Hermione. They've been dating for a year and a half, and he knew she was the love of his life. Because he loved her, she knew she hated horror movies, and didn't understand why she wanted to go to a horror movie night.
"Yes, I'm sure. It isn't going to be so bad," Hermione said, trying to sound nonchalant, but James could hear the trembling in her voice. "Besides, you love horror movies!"
"That's true, I do love horror movies, but I love you more." James smirked and lightly pecked her on the lips. "And because I love you, I know how much you hate horror movies."
"I don't hate horror movies," Hermione started to say, but James just raised an eyebrow to her. "I don't! I just really don't like to watch them because they give me nightmares and keep me awake for weeks after."
James chuckled; Hermione was just freaking adorable! He knew she just suggested they come to watch these types of movies because he always was a fan of the genre, and because she loved him, Hermione was trying to be brave for him.
"We can always ditch these movies, and go do something else," James said, putting a hand on Hermione's waist and kissing her cheek.
"No, no! We came here to watch these movies and that's what we're going to do," Hermione said, straightening up and walking towards the theater. "Let's do it."
Shaking his head, James followed his girlfriend, not wanting to argue with her. He knew she was going to change her mind when she discovered which movies they were going to watch.
"Monster House? Who plays 'Monster House' in a horror movie marathon?" Hermione asked when they were seated. "Mama and Insidious, I can understand, but an animation movie?"
"Are you pissed because it's an animation or are you trying to act like you're pissed but you're actually scared because you hate that movie, alongside Coraline?" James asked amused, seeing the way Hermione was seething.
"Oh, shut up, James!" Hermione replied, crossing her arms and slumping on her chair. This was his sign that he was right, since Hermione rarely let him win an argument.
He never understood why Hermione hated that movie, but he was glad she hated it. James knew Hermione was too prideful to acknowledge the fact that she hated horror movies, was scared of them and was only watching because of him.
It didn't take long for Hermione to start creeping towards him, trying to be subtle about it, and James had to stop a smile from appearing on his face. Midway towards the movie, and Hermione was practically on top of him, and James had to hold her, afraid she was going to bolt.
"Still not afraid of the movies, love?" James asked in her ear, tightening his hold on her waist.
"Shut up, James, just watch the movie," Hermione replied, but it was somewhat muffled. She had pressed her face in James' chest.
He kissed the top of her head, smiling to himself. No matter what she said, Hermione was the bravest person James knew. The fact she was willing to watch horror movies with him just because he liked, made him know it for sure.
