Willow Park had had a…difficult morning to say the least.

First, after a late night of trying to put together her abomination for today's class, she had overslept by a whole 20 minutes. Never a good start to the day, and because of her rushed routine, she had skipped her breakfast to make sure she arrived to class on time (hopefully with a little extra time to prepare her presentation.)

She'd stopped in the woods near the school to practice a little, yet her abomination continued to evade her command. She sighed in frustration.

"They aren't anything like plants! They have a totally different will, and I just, ugh!"

She slumped against her cauldron for a moment, before standing up taller, a determined glint in her eyes.

"It's okay Willow! You can totally do it! Nothing to it!"

At her final statement, she accidentally stepped on a small flower, crushing it beneath her boot. Gasping in surprise, she immediately kneeled to the ground to fix her mistake. Circling her finger in the air, a light manifested itself, and surrounded the flower, before restoring it to its former glory. However, as she kneeled before the plant, a voice echoed out from in front of her.

"Oh, Willow! Practicing plant magic?"

She jumped, startled from being suddenly called out like that, and quickly stood back up, the flower wilting once again due to her lack of focus. She looked up to see the culprit of the question.

"You know, I almost rolled over you, you're so unnoticeable."

The witchling slid down her own cauldron and dropped down before Willow.

Said girl shifted her eyes to the side and frowned, talking low.

"Hello Amity."

The other witchling, Amity, giggled slightly, and put a hand to her chin.

"You know, I thought you would be in class early, preparing for the presentation, not out here experimenting with other magics. I mean, that's kinda counter-productive to your track after all."

She glanced down for a moment, and her eyes glinted. "I mean, not like you're very good at plant magic either, though."

Willow winced, and pulled her cowl over her head, and Amity continued.

"And how is your abomination coming, anyway?"

The pot rumbled slightly at its mention, before toppling over, a purple liquid leaking onto the forest floor, and crawling over to the two witches, eyeballs and other strange parts floating amongst the slime.

Amity gave out a fake gasp. "You don't have anything to show! Why Willow, that's just terrible! I mean, how would you ever contend with a Top Student, not even being able to make a simple abomination."

She spun on her foot, facing her own cauldron. "Abomination, rise!"

The pot lid exploded open, and a purple figure emerged from its depths. The creature moaned, and leaned over to willow, before painting a star on her forehead. Amity giggled mockingly.

"Oh, even the abomination is taking pity on little old Half-a-Witch. Abomination, cower."

Without a word, the good sunk back into the cauldron, sealing itself within once more. Amity hopped onto the top of it, and began moving forward, before calling out to Willow once again.

"You know, if I were you, I'd probably just quit magic entirely. Hey, you can just go hang out with the Owl Lady and sell garbage or something! Ha!" She snorted out, before riding away back towards the school.

Willow sniffled, allowing her hot tears to roll down her face once Amity had gone out of sight. She lowered herself into the ground and put her head between her knees.

"She's right. I'll never be anything more than Half-a-Witch! I'm just so tired of being everyone's punching bag, and I'm tired of struggling, and I'm tired of them!"

Willow stood up suddenly, eyes glowing with power as thorny vines erupted from the earth, swinging around her wildly, cutting through trees and bushes as well.

"Woah! Hey, what the heck!"

A voice, followed by a strong gust of wind pulled Willow out of her emotional trance, and towards the vines that were wrestling with a teen about her age on the ground near her.

"Oh, my goodness! I'm so sorry! Here!"

She pulled the vines back and allowed the boy a moment's reprise.

"That's fine, they just caught me off guard is all."

They were both silent for a moment before Willow noticed his round ears tucked into his curly mop of hair. She inched closer, until they were mere inches apart.

"So round!"

The teen jumped back suddenly, red from embarrassment, and attempting to cover his ears.

"Uh, no! They're pointy too!"

Willow hopped up and began to circle the teen curiously. "Oh man, a human on the Boiling Isles! That's crazy! How'd you get here? What are you doing here?"

The teen gulped and stepped back from the curious witchling. "Uh, h-hey! Maybe we should introduce ourselves first, before we get to the twenty questions?"

The girl blushed and nodded. "Of course!" She extended her hand politely. "I'm Willow Park! Very nice to meet you!"

"I'm Izuku Midoriya," he said, accepting her hand with his own blush. "It's nice to meet you as well."

They let go of each other's hands and there was a brief pause before Willow broke the silence.

"Sorry for letting my magic get out of control. I didn't mean to attack you. I was just…emotional."

Izuku's nervous attitude seemingly dissipated, at least a bit, and he nodded.

"I saw. I was about to intervene, but…"

The teen grew quiet, and Willow frowned, looking away.

"Nah, it's okay. She's right anyway. I'm nothing but Half-a-Witch."

Izuku shook his head vehemently. "N-no way! You're like crazy strong, you just proved it!"

The green-haired girl frowned. "But I totally lost control! Strong witches don't do that!"

The other teen chuckled a bit, rubbing his hands together. "Well, let's just say I'm a little used to having so much power that it's hard to control, so I have some experience. And you're totally strong. That other girl probably just has…her own issues."

Izuku said that very carefully, and Willow tilted her head.

"You…have experience there? What kind of power do humans have?" Her eyes twinkled with curiosity.

He nodded in response. "Oh, totally. Contrary to what the Demon Realm believes, actually about 80% of the population of humans has some sort of special ability. We call them 'Quirks.' It's actually kinda similar to magic in some cases."

Willow nodded, enthralled by the new information. "So, do you have one?"

Izuku nodded again. "Yeah, it's pretty simple though. I just have the ability to greatly augment my strength and speed and stuff. Nothing special. But hey, your plant magic is super cool! I can think of so many crazy applications to rescuesituationsandbarricadingcapturingbuildingstructuresreconnaisance…"

He began muttering to himself, and suddenly pulled out a small notebook, writing down several applications to her magic that made the young girl blush out of embarrassment.

"Uh, Izuku?"

He seemed to snap out of it at the mention of his name, and quickly put the book away, blushing.

"I-I was muttering, wasn't I?"

She nodded, and he seemed to draw in on himself a little, smiling nervously.

"Sorry if I creeped you out, I just get kinda excited about this kind of stuff."

Willow waved her hands and shook her head. "No, not at all! In fact, it's really impressive that you were able to come up with all that so fast!"

His smile grew a bit. "Really?"

She nodded confidently. "Absolutely!"

They human teen relaxed a bit, and once again they were captured by a moment of silence. This time however, it was Izuku that began to talk again.

"I'm not just experienced with having trouble controlling my power, you know?"

Willow looked up, a little confused. "What do you mean?"

He sighed and motioned his head to the direction that Amity had went.

"It's the reason I didn't step in and stop her. I got caught up in my own memories. I had a best friend when I was a kid. I mean, we were inseparable. Until, one day, his quirk manifested….and mine didn't."

Willow frowned, and Izuku continued, nervously smiling, and wringing his hands together.

"It was like a switch flipped, and suddenly he went out of his way to bully and put me down every day. Beating me up, anything. Just because he had a Quirk and I didn't. Until one day…"

'Why don't you go take a swan dive off the roof?'

Izuku shook the thought from his head and let his smile return. "Anyway, my power did end up manifesting, and we're a little better now for sure, but I know it can be hard. You've just gotta keep your head up!"

The story was familiar to Willow, and she felt a pang of sorrow for their shared situations. No matter how much better it could be between them, the young witchling was sure it was still hard. Even if Amity suddenly turned her attitude around 180 degrees, and became the nicest person ever, she wasn't sure how easily forgiveness would come…

"Well, that's pretty much the same between me and Amity…and yeah. I know one day it'll change. I just gotta get through these stupid abomination classes."

Izuku tilted his head a bit. "Not that I know much about how these demon realm classes work, but wouldn't you rather be doing some sort of plant related thing?"

She frowned and nodded slowly. "Yeah, but my dads want me to do something with a little more real-world application."

The green haired human thought momentarily, before his eyes lit up.

"Well, why don't you show them?"

She tilted her head. "What do you mean?"

Izuku suddenly stood up, his eyes shining with determination.

"I mean, why don't you march into class, and show everyone your plant magic? And you can show your dads too! Just go right in there and say 'I AM HERE!'"

The human posed heroically, and Willow could feel the inspiration well up inside her. However, before she could get a word out, the bell began to ring at Hexside, signifying that classes were about to begin. She hurriedly stood up.

"Oh man, I gotta go or I'm gonna be late!"

She began gathering her things, before smiling at Izuku.

"I think I will show them! I am here! Thanks, Izuku, I hope we meet again!"

She hurriedly made her way to class, and Izuku grinned triumphantly.

He so loved helping people.

AAND Done! This is just something that's been floating around in my head for a while, and I needed to get it out! I have been so slacking on my writing recently it's ridiculous. Now, this is just a one-shot thing. There's no way that I will turn this into a full story, because I simply don't have the time. Between my actual responsibilities, my other stories, and my own personal works, I can't squeeze in another crossover story (although I am notorious for making a bunch of these.) However, if anyone feels inspired by this, please feel free to make your own stories in this vein! In fact, I can almost guarantee 100% that I'll probably read it. I'm starving for Owl House and MHA content. But, alas, I cannot satiate my own hunger. Plus, it's fun to read other peoples' stuff anyway! So, tell me what you thought, don't forget to like, comment, subscribe, blah, blah, blah, Stay Frosty, and as always…
