"Mom, do you and Dad have to go?", my sister, Macy, asked.

I sighed at this, Macy was always trying to act older than she was. I, on the other hand, was excited to see our grandparents again while Mom and Dad went on a trip.

"Don't worry, sweetheart, it's only for 3 weeks", Dad reassured.

"But, I'm old enough to watch both of us", she complained. "First of all, you're 8 and I'm 14. Second of all, what's so bad about Grandma and Grandpa?", I said.

"They're older than dust and duller than unsharpened pencils, Knucklebutt"

I just rolled my eyes and moved on.

The drive there was peaceful as I loved the view of the countryside where our grandparents lived. We arrived at a peach colored farmhouse, an apple red barn in its backyard along with a small orchard, a chicken coop, and a lawn with 4 cows, 8 goats, 2 horses, and 1 donkey.

Once we got out of the car, a hypnotic aroma filled my nose and my mouth started to water. I knew exactly what it was: Grandma Sara's apple pie, my sister and I love it when she makes it. We then heard the sound of a tractor as one arrived being driven by my grandfather. He was a tall man with silver hair, a strong build, a plaid shirt and blue jeans, thin, brown glasses, and a pocket watch.(picture him looking like Alec Baldwin)

"Grandpa!"I ran up to hug him.

Hey hey, little tyke", Grandpa laughed, "How are you and your sister?".

"Dead inside", Macy said.

Grandpa chuckled, "Don't worry, little miss, I've got a little project that's bound to blow you away". "What is it? What is it?" I asked. "Now Trevor, I'm sure Grandma would like you to be greeted before you go off on your own", Mom chided. We then go in to greet Grandma. She was two years younger than Grandpa, a head shorter than him, with blond hair, blue jeans, a blue and white patterned shirt, a pretty diamond ring on her finger and rose colored glasses.(picture her as Meryl Streep)

"Hi, my beautiful pumpkins", she greeted us, "Hey to you to, Pam", she said as she hugged Mom. "Hi,Sara", Mom(who resembles Anne Hathaway)responded. "Where's that son of mine, couldn't afford to say hi to his own mother?"Grandma asked. "Here Mom, I didn't forget about you", Dad(who resembles Max Greenfield) said as he walked in with Grandpa.

After our parents left, I asked Grandpa if he could show us the surprise now. "Of course, it's in the shed", he gestured for us to follow. "Abe, just make sure you're back in time for dinner", Grandma said. "Don't worry Sar, where we're going, time won't be a problem", he then winks at her, causing her to roll her eyes and wave us off.
