Chapter 1: The Westover Hall Incident
Armeegruppe. Und ich war dort. (When I was a boy, a group of boys were caught stealing from the local shop. When my father found out, he was furious. I protested to him, "But I didn't take anything." "Maybe not.", he said, "But...you were there." My name is Erwin Rommel II. Commander of Tiger tank number 237 and the 19th Army group... And I was there.)
At Westover Hall
Percy was slow-dancing with Annabeth and listening to her go on and on about architectur, which he found cute. After a few minutes, Annabeth looked around and whispered in his ear.
Annabeth: Go look for the two demigods.
Percy nodded and left to look for the the demigods that they were told about. He was searching for nearly an hour before he found them. He motioned them to follow him and they did, but not before Percy got hit in the shoulder by a spike. He groaned and they heard a voice.
???: Perseus Jackson. You know, it's almost ironic. Long ago, the gods banished me to Persia. I was forced to scrounge for food on the edges of the world, hiding in forests, devouring insignificant human farmers for my meals. I never got to fight any great heroes. I was not feared and admired in the old stories! But now all that changes. The Titans shall honor me, I shall destroy and kill a child of the big three, and I shall feast on the flesh of half-bloods!
Percy look up, breathing heavily. He knew that he couldn't fight this person in his present condition.
Percy: Who are you?
???: My name is Dr. Thorn. But that doesn't matter, as I shall destroy the child of Poseidon. Now will you three follow me or shall I kill you right here?
Percy looked at the last two demigods and back at Dr. Thorn.
Percy: We'll go with you.
Dr. Thorn smiled and led them outside where Artemis and her hunters were bound to trees with celestial bronze chains, digging into their skin, while Thalia, Grover, and Annabeth were tied using ropes. He couldn't believe it.
Percy: Let them go. They did nothing wrong.
Dr. Thorn: I could do that, but lord Kronos and the general would be pleased to see these hostages.
Dr. Thorn walked over to a hunter of Artemis called, Zöe Nightshade and yanked her ponytail back.
Zöe: OW!
Dr. Thorn: I know for a fact that the general would be most pleased to see this one.
Zöe glared at Thorn. Thorn had a personal army of 450,000 troops, mody of which were demigods, that were under his personal command. There was only one problem. Thorn's troops lacked combat experience; and Percy had secretly called for backup. It was just a matter of time before they arrived.
Dr. Thorn: Any last words, Jackson?
Percy: Yeah. Here's the fucking cavalry.
A shell landed right in between a large group of Thorn's troops, exploding and killing them, while sending g their bodies flying all over the place. Thorn looked back and saw Panzer IVs, Panzer IIIs, StuG IIIs, Grille anti-infantry vehicles, Jagdpanthers, Hetzers, Jagdtigers, Tiger IIs, Tiger Is, Elefant tank destroyers, and Sd. Kfz. 263s. Behind them various artillery guns were assembling with shell sizes varying from 75mm to 210mm, but the biggest one was being held back. A 600mm heavy siege mortar that the Germans called Mörser Karl.
It was clear that Percy's backup wasn't holding back. Thorn's troops were about toset up defenses when infantry troops attacked them from the forest. In the distance a 13 year old boy was watching from the commander's cupola in a Tiger tank numbered 237. Erwin Rommel II. Erwin was a like a carbon copy of his father, Erwin Rommel, the infamous Desert Fox. Rightfully so, his son had also earned the same nickname.
Erwin *looking through his binoculars: Kertz, gehen Sie in die Schule. Es ist an der Zeit, dass wir diese Blamage für unseren Feind beenden. (Kertz, advance down to the school. It's time we end this embarrassment for our enemy.)
Kertz: Jawohl. (Understood.)
Kertz drove down to the battlefield, which by now was a complete slaughter. It wasn't long before Thorn ordered one of his troops to wave a white flag. Erwin got out wearing a WW2 German field marshal's uniform similar to his father's, with the same amount of medals. He walked over to Thorn and the two of them saluted.
Erwin: Do you understand the terms of full and unconditional surrender?
Thorn: I do.
Erwin: I want the full and unconditional surrender of you and your men.
Thorn nodded and surrendered, knowing that he lost. Erwin's troops untied the others and they left with Thorn in chains.
At the Hunters' camp
The hunters of Artemis, Percy, Thalia, Annabeth, Nico, Bianca, and Grover were sitting around a fire watching and listening to Erwin's men sing and have fun.
Erwin's men: Im Wald, im grünen Walde,
Da steht ein Försterhaus.
Im Wald, im grünen Walde,
Da steht ein Försterhaus.
Da schauet jeden Morgen,
So frisch und frei von Sorgen,
Des Försters Töchterlein heraus,
Des Försters Töchterlein heraus.
Ta-ra-la-la, ta-ra-la-la,
Des Försters Töchterlein so frisch heraus,
Ta-ra-la-la, ta-ra-la-la,
Des Försters Töchterlein heraus.
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
Schön sind die Mädchen
Von siebzehn, achtzehn Jahr'.
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
Schöne Mädchen gibt es überall.
Und kommt der Frühling in das Tal,
Grüß mir die Lore noch einmal,
Ade, ade, ade!
Und kommt der Frühling in das Tal,
Grüß mir die Lore noch einmal,
Ade, ade, ade!
Der Förster und die Tochter,
Die schossen beide gut.
Der Förster und die Tochter,
Die schossen beide gut.
Der Förster schoss das Hirschlein,
Die Tochter traf das Bürschlein
Tief in das junge Herz hinein,
Tief in das junge Herz hinein.
Ta-ra-la-la, ta-ra-la-la,
Tief in das junge, junge Herz hinein,
Ta-ra-la-la, ta-ra-la-la,
Tief in das junge Herz hinein.
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
Schön sind die Mädchen
Von siebzehn, achtzehn Jahr'.
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
Schöne Mädchen gibt es überall.
Und kommt der Frühling in das Tal,
Grüß mir die Lore noch einmal,
Ade, ade, ade!
Und kommt der Frühling in das Tal,
Grüß mir die Lore noch einmal,
Ade, ade, ade!
Thalia: They seem to be having fun.
Percy: Yeah. Anyways, we should get some sleep.
With that everyone went to sleep and Erwin left for school that night.
