Banishment
It had been a peaceful three days after team seven returned from their mission to wave. Naruto had been in his apartment for the entire three days as he kept going over the events of the past two months of being on team seven. He remembered every time Sasuke would put him down for messing something up on their D rank missions and how Sakura would hit him for saying anything that went against her Sasuke-Kun. The more he thought the angrier he would get but when he felt he was close to going to Sasuke's house and beating him to a pulp for all the crap he pulled he would remember his Jiji and Kakashi-sensei. He remembered how the old man would protect him from the villager's harsh glare and attempt to kill him though they were never able to get to him. He then remembered how Kakashi would always intervene when Sasuke and Sakura would try to pull anything on him.
Naruto decided he would finally leave his prison-like apartment and go see the old man. Naruto got up from the chair with a broken leg he had been sitting on at his table that we marked with tons of small scratches to get dressed. He opened up the slab of wood that was keeping his room separate from the outside world as he walked out of his dim apartment to be blinded by the sunlight hitting him right in the eyes. He closed the door and locked it as he walked off to the Hokage tower. As Naruto walked down the dirt path to the tall building, he tried to act like the glares all the villagers were sending him affected him. He didn't understand how they couldn't tell the difference between a prisoner and the cell containing it but he pushed that thought to the back of his head as he heard a familiar voice in his head.
"IT'S BECAUSE THEY HATE YOU. THEY WOULD RATHER YOU BE DEAD THAN WALKING AMONG THEM AS IF YOU WERE ONE OF THEM."
The voice stopped as Naruto grew an angry expression on his face the entire time, he had been in his apartment he would hear that voice try to make him think that the village would want him dead, he knew not everyone liked him but for them to want one of their own seamed outlandish in his mind.
"THEY WANT YOU GONE NARUTO THEY WANT YOU TO LEAVE THEY WANT YOU OUT OF THEIR VILLAGE."
Naruto wanted to yell at the voice in his head for saying such stupid things, of course the villagers wouldn't want him to leave right? The boy questioned himself as he looked up to see he was at the entrance of the Hokage tower. Naruto walked through the building as he looked ahead of him, he turned a corner to see a small door leading to the old Hokage's office. Naruto gained a small smile as he opened the door only to see nobody inside the room, the smile quickly left his face. He turned around when he got the idea to go to Ichiraku's ramen.
Council Room
The aged village leader walked into the large room with nothing but a large table and lots of occupants sitting at the table. The council was made up of all the clan heads of the village clans, the civilian council made up of the most prominent businessmen in Konoha and the Hokages personal advisors Koharu, Homura and Danzo. The elder man walked to his large seat at the head of the table as he looked to his left at his advisers, specifically Danz.
"Why have you called this meeting Danzo?" The Hokage asked his former friend with a bare tone.
"It has come to my attention that the village is at risk" the bandaged elder said.
Danzo was going to continue but was interrupted by the rest of the councilors all shouting as they wanted to know why and how the village was in danger.
Danzo went on with a raised voice," If you will let me continue, I have gotten word that this potential enemy is not from outside the village but one of our ninjas."
Hiruzen began to wonder if Danzo could know about the incident that happened with Naruto while on his mission but was forced to stop those thoughts as he heard Danzo keep speaking.
"This threat is the boy who contains the nine tails Uzumaki Naruto"
After Danzo dropped that bombshell on the council all the members began to panic.
"I told you we should have killed the demon when we had the chance!" One of the civilians on the council shouted over the ruckus of voices.
The elder Sarutobi raised his KI at the shouting group," Stop talking." The matured man stopped and took a break as he put his attention back on Danzo and his other advisors," Danzo what is the meaning of this? You are supposed to consult me before we bring this kind of information to the council, and what do you mean Naruto is a danger to the village?"
Danzo gave his prior friend a serious look," You already know what I am talking about Hiruzen, the boy has used the demon's chakra."
The council started yelling at the elderly man for not telling them, and the entire civilian council was calling for the boy's death.
The other male advisor to the Hokage started," We will have the boy executed as is stated by the law by which we can have any ninja killed if we see them as a threat to the village."
"No, you will not give an order to execute Naruto, you will not do anything to the boy." The Hokage hollered at the council.
An old fat man on the civilian council made his voice known to the others in the room," why don't we leave it to a vote."
The rest of the councilors all agreed with the man as another of the civilians shouted," Hokage-sama you cannot give your vote because your opinion will be biased to the boy."
Hiruzen was about to reply but was interrupted by the clan head of the Hyūga clan Hiashi Hyūga," He is correct Hokage-sams under line sixteen of the council codes anyone in the council, including the Hokage cannot vote if their opinion is biased to the matter that is being biased on." the man with long hair finished,
Hiruzen grew a defeated look as he knew that Hiashi was correct in the fact that his vote would be biased. Hiruzen was attempting to plan how to save Naruto from his fate as the rest of the council voted on what to do with the demon boy.
"Then it is decided the boy will be executed," an elderly woman sitting next to Danzo stated.
Hiruzen put his head down as he let a tear slip out of his eye knowing that he couldn't do anything to protect Naruto.
The Next Day
Naruto was back at the Hokage's office but not because he wanted to visit the old man but because he was called there by the old Hokage.
"Why did you call me here old man?" The blonde asked as he walked through the doorway.
"I have some news for you, Naruto" answered the ancient man said with a defeated look and tone.
"What is it Jiji? Am I in trouble?"
"I don't know how to tell you this Naruto so I will get straight to the point. The council has set a date for you to be executed."
"W What why would they do that I haven't done anything against the village." Naruto spoke with a shaken voice.
The Hokage continued but Naruto couldn't hear him over the power voice in the back of his," I TOLD YOU NARUTO THIS PATHETIC VILLAGE WANTS TO KILL, YOU THEY WANT YOU OUT OF THEIR HOME!"
Hiruzen stopped talking as he saw the pained look on Naruto's face.
"Naruto, if you need anything I am here for you."
Naruto looked up at his grandfather figure," it's nothing Jiji I was just thinking is all."
Both stopped talking as Hiruzen watched Naruto's face change through emotions.
"Naruto, something is wrong, I understand you can tell me." the elder man said with a reassuring voice.
In Naruto's mind the same voice echoed as he was trying to think of ways out of his execution. Naruto was disrupted from his thoughts as the shouts from his prisoner," LEAVE THIS PLACE, I WANT YOU TO GET OUT OF THIS HELLHOLE."
"Jiji, I want you to banish me."
The wizened man looked at Naruto in surprise as he hadn't expected the boy to say that" what?"
"If you banish me, it will stop the council from doing anything to me and it would prevent them from sending ninjas after because I wouldn't be a missing nin."
"Naruto you do realize what you are asking of me. I will do it to protect you, but I don't want you getting yourself hurt out there."
Naruto gave the Hokage a look letting him know he will take care of himself, before turning around to leave the office. After Naruto left the room, the old man let himself cry a little for the first time since the death of the yondaime.
Outside The Hokage Tower
Naruto was walking down the dirt road with a dead look in his eyes.
"Hey Dobe, what's wrong with you, the old fool won't let you stay after your nightmare." The last Uchiha said with a mocking edge in his voice.
"Shut it" Naruto responded in a sharp inflection," When you learn to treat your teammates with respect and not like a meat shield you can talk to me."
The cocky boy looked surprised that Naruto would say something like that but didn't show it.
"Baka how dare you insult Sasuke-Kun!" The pink haired banshee screeched at the top of her lungs.
"Talk to me like that again and I will cut your tongue out of your mouth." Naruto said with an angered force behind his voice.
Sakura looked like a rabbit that was cornered by a fox as Naruto walked past her and her precious Sasuke-kun. A masked jonin watched the whole ordeal from on top of a nearby building as he decided to see what had caused his blonde student to be in such a bad mood. After following Naruto for a few minute, the jonin sensei shunshined in front of the youth.
"What's wrong Naruto? The jonin paused," Why are you in such a bad mood?"
Naruto only answered with four words," Talk to the Hokage."
Kakashi was too surprised by the youngsters answer to ask any more questions as he saw his student walk past him.
Day Of The Execution
Today was the day Uzumaki Naruto was meant to be executed publicly. It had been just under two weeks after team seven returned from their now village wide know mission. Naruto had been put under house arrest and was under constant watch from root Anbu. All of the village knew of his status as jinjuriki of the Kyuubi including his former classmates.
Naruto was to be killed by beheading and was to be escorted to the village center in an hour's time. The Hokage had visited him to tell him he had all the paperwork signed and that he was now banished from the strongest of the hidden villages, Konoha.
The hour had passed quickly as he saw his door get knocked down by two squads of root Anbu.
"You are coming with us," the Anbu captain said in an emotionless tone.
Naruto didn't say a word as he got out of his bed he had been sitting on as he thought over his plan for the rest of his time where he would be in the Hidden Leaf village. Naruto was paraded through the streets of the village as all of the civilians yelled at him. He was brought to the village center to see a wooden platform with another Anbu wielding a sword. He walked up the stairs and turned to look over the crowd as he saw all of his previous comrades. He saw that Sasuke had a smirk from ear to ear across his face and Sakura was cheering along with the rest of the crowd. He then scanned to see team ten, Shikamaru had a disgusted look on his face as Choji wasn't eating chip showing that even the glutton didn't have an appetite, them he saw a girl with long blonde hair named Ino with her eyes closed tight as she didn't want to see her fellow blonde getting killed. His eyes moved farther back to see team eight, Shino had the same indifferent look on his face that he always had, then he saw Kiba was cheering just like Sakura had been. Naruto was surprised though to see that weird girl named Hinata holding onto her jonin sensei weeping her violet eyes out. He finished his examination of the crowd when he saw Kakashi with a depress look in his only visible eye and his Jiji standing next to him and for the first time in Naruto's life he saw a tear fall from the old man's eyes.
Naruto felt something cold that he knew was a razor sharp blade pressed against his neck as he was told to give his last words. The blade was pulled away so he could speak, before starting the boy put his head down.
To the crowds surprise the voice that came out of the boy's mouth wasn't his but a much deeper one, "I CAN'T WAIT TO COMEBACK TO THIS VILLAGE ONE DAY AND FINISH WHAT I STARTED THOSE THIRTEEN YEARS AGO."
After finishing his speech Naruto looked up to reveal his blood red slitted eyes. The crowd broke out into a panic after seeing the eyes of the kyuubi. The Anbu that was to execute Naruto went to slash at the boy's neck, but his blade was stopped by a hand with extended nails and a red aura begging to form around it. The crowd began to run away as all ninja in the area including Naruto ex comrades began to run at the demon boy. As the force of ninja ran at the kyuubified Naruto he ripped the sword out of the Anbu's hand a tossed it slightly into the air so that he could grip it by the handle as he swung it decapitating the executioner and dropping the now blood covered weapon to the ground. All the ninjas stopped in their tracks as they saw that Naruto now had a one tailed demon cloak and had blood on his right hand and arm from the headless Anbu laying on the ground. Before any of the leaf protectors could stop the young warrior, he ran off faster than any genin and most chunin could see. Before anyone could fully process the events that had just occurred Naruto was already gone.
