Takes place during the Rise of Skywalker.

"Lieutennet Connix, would you walk me to my room?" The question had caught Kaydel off guard, but she got the sense that it was important, "Sure." Once they were in the privacy of Leia's quarters, she sat on the bed and motioned for Kaydel to do the same. "Kaydel, it's time." Leia said. Suddenly, everything clicked. "No," Kaydel said, "I can't, I can't go through this again." Leia took her hand, "Kaydel, you're stronger than you know." "No, I'm not." "You are," Leia said frimly, "I know you never completed your training, and I know you're afraid, but this fight is just as much yours as it is anyone else's. You'll be okay." Kaydel didn't fight the tears as she rested her on Leia's shoulder, "How will I know what to do?" she asked. Leia wrapped her arms around Kaydel, "When the time comes, you'll know, the Force will guide you." she said, then she let go of Kaydel and grabbed a box from her bedside table. She opened it and produced a holster. "This belonged to a woman named Tala, she was kind and brave, she helped save my life when I was a child. When she died, Obi-Wan gave the holster to me, he said that Tala would've wanted me to have it. Now I want you to have it." she explained. Kaydel put the holster on. Leia smiled, "It looks good on you." "Thank you." Kaydel said, smiling through her tears. Leia squeezed her hand, "Remember Kaydel, the Force will be with you, always." Kaydel backed away, watching Leia as she reached out to Ben through the Force. She watched as Leia laid back on the bed. Kaydel watched as Leia's hand fall to her side, "Goodbye, Aunt Leia." Kaydel walked out of the room and relayed the news to everyone. She had lost her mother, her cousin, her father, her uncle, and now her aunt. She had lost friends too. The loses were starting to become to much. As she thought about it all, the spark of rebellion that ran in her family, was suddenly reigniting within her. She felt the Force calling to her, telling her it was time. So when Finn and Poe were looking for volunteers for the ground assault, she stepped up. She grabbed a blaster and got on one of the transport ships. That day, Ben Solo was redeemed, Palpatine and the Sith were destroyed, and Kaydel Skywalker was reborn.

A/N: This came to me while re-watching TROS. I decided to start writing it, after a few weeks of writers block. Anyway, I apologize for any grammar mistakes. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed.
