Part 1
10 am Tommy and Kat's house, Tommy is in the kitchen with Jayden, Kat is at a conference in Minneapolis and Lauren is working at the hospital, Tommy is making breakfast with Jayden when suddenly Tommy is hit with pain in his head,
Tommy- Ahhh!!!
before Jayden could say anything Tommy is on the floor having a seizure he grabs the kitchen phone and calls 911immediately,
911 operator- Amber Beach 911, do you need police, fire, or EMS
Jayden- I need a ambulance at 1298 Memorial Street my dad is having a seizure and he is not breathing
911 operator- are you doing CPR
Jayden- yes I am
911- ok we have a ambulance on the way Jayden,
5 long minutes pass by when the Lightspeed Rescue ambulance arrives with Paramedics Reggie Rolle, Kelsey Winslow and Carter Grayson arrive on scene, across the street Rocky and Chase are working on Syd's car when they see the ambulance arrive in front of Tommy's house
Rocky- whats going on here
Chase- (under the car) what's up
Rocky- Ambulance pulled up in front of Tommy's house
Chase gets out from under Syd's car in time to see them wheel Tommy out on a strecher to the ambulance, they load him in and drive to Amber Beach Memorial Medical Center which is 1.4 miles from Tommy and Kat"s house and KIm and Rocky"s house,
Rocky- Chase you finish Syd's car i'm headed to the hospital, i'm gonna see whats wrong with Tommy
Chase- ok Dad,
Rocky sees Jayden struggling to open his car door he is frusrtaited over the rapidly devolping situation
Rocky- Jayden let me drive
Jayden gets in the front passenger seat as Rocky drives them to the hospital
Part 2
Amber Beach Memorial Medical Center 10:15 A.M. the E.R. desk is busy from a bus wreck from SilVer Hills and the victims are medivaced to ABMMC as they were finishing up the paperwork, the radio cracks open
Radio- Lightspeed Rescue unit 1 to Amber Beach Memorial Medical Center do you copy?
Dr. Jessie Travis anwsers the call
Dr. Travis- Amber Beach Memorial Medical Center, go ahead Lightspped Rescue 1
Radio- ABMMC we have a 39 year old male who has had a seizure, he is not breathing CPR is being adminisered as we speak, we are 2 minutes out over
Dr. Travis- 10-4 unit 1 we will have a trauma team waiting, ABMMC out, Lauren, Cristy, get to the ambulance bay, 39 year old male, seizure and not breathing
Lauren- ok Jessie, Emily, Mia, Ambu bay Trauma coming in
Emily- what do we got
Lauren- 39 year old male, seizure and in respertory distress
Mia- they are here now
the ambulance backs into the ambulance bay and as the doors open Lauren helps them with getting the paitent out of the ambulance and when they get him to trauma bay 1 Lauren is getting the I.V set up she glances and sees it's her father Tommy on the gurney
Lauren- Dad!!!
Lauren is in shock her father the absolute picture of health is in the hospital being worked on to save his life, Lauren snaps back into it and works with the trauma team to reestabish his breathing as they try to get Tommy's resperation system going again, suddenly his heart stops
Dr. Travis- V-Fib!
Emily- no pulse,
Lauren starts chest compressions on her now cardiac and resperated arrested father for 40 minutes they work on Tommy trying everything in their life saving and perserving arsenal to some how keep Tommy alive, they are able to reestabish his heartbeat but they put him on a ventilator because his breathing is still not where it is supposed to be they get him to the ICU wing on the 6th floor, Lauren decides to stay with Tommy, Dr.Travis and Dr. Susan Lewis are returning to the E.R floor when they run into Dr. Kimberly Hart who just got surprising news
Kim- hey Jessie, Susan, boy i got some news
then Jayden comes in and goes to the ER desk Rocky is right behind him
Jayden- is my father Tommy Oliver here? he was brought here by ambulance
Dr.Travis- Jayden, he's here, he is on the 6th floor ICU wing room 2
Jayden- oh great ICU, what else can go wrong?!?!
Jayden heads to the elevator as Kim is in shock about Tommy being in the hospital as a paient
Kim- what happened to Tommy?
Dr. Travis- he had a seizure and wasn't breathing, we got him to trauma bay 1 then he went into cardiac arrest we got his heartbeat back
to Kim it makes no sense for Tommy to have a seizure for no medical reason,
Kim's thought- Tommy has no history of seizures, so odd,
Kim- have Tommy go to CT scan and get all the scans possible from every angle, something is very wrong here
40 minutes later after Tommy has been took to CT the scans come to Kim's computer in her office and the results are not good at all
Kim- oh good gravy
Dr. Lewis- not good when you say 'oh good gravy'
Kim- look at this
Dr. Lewis and Dr. Travis take a look at the scan and are seeing what Kim is seeing,Tommy's brain has ruptured massively
Kim- he's cerbally compermised
Dr. L ewis- damn, he's not gonna make it
Dr. Travis no way he can survive with his brain in that condition, we need to call Katherine
Kim- we have to she needs to get back here, i'll see Jayden and Lauren and inform them about Tommy's situation, Susan get on the phone and call her hotel and every place in Minneapoils, contact her by any means possible
Dr. Lewis- ok Kim
Kim walks out of her office and joins Dr. Ashley Hammond a neroloigst and surgeon and they head to ICU where Lauren and Jayden are sitting and hoping that their father who in the Morphin Grid is one of the legends and pillers of the Power Rangers will pull through this ok like he does in any situation he has face in his time on earth but the news that Kim is about to break to them will be devastating to them as Kim and Ashley walk in
Lauren- Kim Dr. Hammond
Jayden- is dad gonna be ok?
Kim- we need to talk about that
they sit down
Kim- well we had a multi angle CT scan done of your dad's brain...
Lauren- how bad is it
Ashley- the scan shows a cerbral hemmorage that is unrecoverable
when Jayden hears the word unrecoverable he then realizes his father is not gonna recover from this ordeal
Jayden- when you say 'unrecoverable' you mean he's going to die
Kim and Ashley pause for a moment before answering Jayden
Kim- yes, Jayden
Jayden has now confirmed his worst fears, his father is dying right in front of him and there is nothing he or anyone on earth can do about it to stop or reverse it or prevent it from happening, Lauren is is in shock, but she knows she needs to be strong for her family
Jayden- how long before he dies (breaks down)
Ashley- right now the ventilator is keeping him alive, we are gonna wait for your mother
Kim- we are contacting her as we speak
Lauren- i have her itenetary for the trip in Minneapolis on my phone
Kim- oh good where is she right now?
Lauren- (checks her phone) she is at the hotel right now resting she has the afternoon off from seminars and presentations
Kim- i will call her right now
Minneapolis Minnasota, Best Western room 2013, Kat is reading about new ER proceures when her phone rings
Kat- hello?
front desk clerk- Dr. Hillard- Oliver, you have a emergency phone call from Amber Beach Memorial Medical Center in California
Kat- pass it through, hello?
Kim- Kat it's Kim,
Kat- Kim is something wrong ?
Kim- yes, it's Tommy he is in the ICU right now we need you to come back home right now
Kat- I amk on the next fight to Amber Beach, ok bye, front desk im checking out early, when is the next flight to Amber Beach, California?, ok 4:30 its 12:45 now is there anything earlier? United flight 2345 at 2:35 ok I will take it, ok thank you, good bye
Kat begans packing her things and quickly heads to the Minneapolis/ St. Paul International Airport to board her fight, as she arrives at the airport's United terminal she calls
Kim to tell her she is flying on United Airlines and will be arriving at Amber Beach International Airport at 6 to 6:30 pm as she is boarding the flight she wonders what has happened to Tommy, her husband of 17 years, father of two kids Lauren and Jayden, now by the information she is given Tommy is in ICU now very sick she sits in her seat as the plane is prepped for flight to Amber Beach International Airport
part 3 goodbye
6:34 pm United Flight 2345 lands at Amber Beach International Airport, Kat has spent the 2 hour flight in silence, wondering what illness has befallen her husband that has put him in ICU as the plane pulls into the termnal at United Airlines as she gets her luggage and heads to the terminal with her bags and thoughts that runs through her mind she sees Syd is waiting for her as Kat walks up to her and they head up to Syd's car and drive to the Hospital a 10 mintue trip felt like a 10 hour trip for Kat as they finally arrive at the hospital, she walks all the way to the 6th floor to the nurse's ICU station where Kim is,
Kat- Kim!! how is Tommy? is he ok? what happened to him?
Kim- Kat come with me
Kim leads Kat to Tommy's room where the sight shocks her when she sees her husband on a ventlator
Kat- what happened
Kim- Intercranial Hemmorrage, he is Cerbealy Compermised,
Kat hears the phrase Cerbraly Compermised and she knows that nothing on heaven or on Earth can save Tommy now
Kat- is the ventaltor keeping him...
Kim- yes it is
Kat- Tommy would not want to be hooked up to a machine keeping him alive
Kim- so you want to withdraw life support from Tommy,
Kat- yes, it breaks my heart to see him like that (starts crying) i dont want to lose him though, me and him have been together for so long,
Kat kknows Tommy cant recover but she cant bear the blow of losing him though it is hard to lose the love of your life but you dont want to prolong their suffering by any strech of time if it is not needed, so Kat has to talk to Lauren and Jayden about the whole situation after a few minutes they decide it was best to withdraw life support, after they sign the paperwork they say their final goodbyes to Tommy and at 5:43 pm Tommy Oliver breathes his last and passes peacefully, after a few minutes Kat calles Jason to inform him that Tommy has passed as word got around the Morphin Grid about Tommy, Kat kisses Tommy's hand goodbye for the last time
Kat- Goodbye My Love
as Tommy is taken to the moruge Kim follows them they stop and Kim sees for the final time her first love go away forever as they enter the elevator for the mourge
Kim who had put a brave face on all day starts to break down emotionally she heads to her office and when she closes the door she goes to her desk and pulls out a photo album with her in her days as a Power Ranger with her and Tommy, she looks at the pictures one at a time, and she remembers every memory
Kim- Goodbye Tommy, until we meet again
