With a groan Zelda sat up, placing her hand on her head. She opened her eyes, Link was sitting at the end of the bed, holding out a glass of water. "Oh goddesses, it feels as though someone kicked my head a dozen times." She took the glass of water, sipping slowly as she kept her hand on her forehead. "You brought it upon yourself." Zelda frowned. "I don't even recall what happened." She sighed softly, hoping she didn't do anything too reckless. "You drank 11 glasses of Noble Pursuit." She felt her cheeks redden and her eyes widen slightly, she had witnessed the kind of results that much drink could have on a person. "Link.. I didn't do anything stupid, did I?" He shook his head, much to her relief. "I made sure to get you out of there as soon as I could, I was the only one who had to suffer your intoxicated form." She finished the glass, handing it back to Link. "I'm sorry, I should have been more sensible.." She looked down before feeling Link's hand on her chin, pulling her gaze back up. "You don't need to apologise for having some fun, it was rather entertaining to see you let loose for once." She smiled weakly before nodding at that, she was glad Link wasn't scolding her, though she didn't need a scolding to know that she was never doing that again.

Zelda couldn't manage to get out of the bed that day due to her migraine, though she suggested leaving in the evening, Link advised against such a suggestion, to which she reluctantly agreed. They were currently sitting next to each other in her bed, Zelda was messing around with the Sheikah Slate as Link explained the runes to her. "And then stasis allows you to momentarily freeze objects. You can then hit these objects and the kinetic energy will be contained and distributed once the stasis can no longer be held." Zelda pointed the Slate towards Link, a teasing smirk on her lips. "What if I were to freeze you?" She inquired, giggling softly. He placed his hand on the Slate, lowering it before shaking his head with disapproval. "It's not a toy, Zelda." She raised an eyebrow. "Like you haven't used this to torture enemies." She replied sarcastically, to which he looked away innocently. "Maybe I.. experimented every once a while." He admitted sheepishly, to which she giggled yet again. "That sounds much more reasonable." She stated brightly before leaning her head back against the back board and closing her eyes.

"Are we still engaged?" She inquired lightly, opening her eyes again and looking over at Link. "We never stated that we weren't." He responded, at which she smiled, glad that he was still willing to take her hand. Even before all of these events, she knew he was the one, and now after everything they'd been through, he was her everything. "I'm glad we're on the same page." She hummed lightly before looking into his eyes. They lingered for a moment, gazing into each other's eyes before their lips met. The sudden interaction led to a muffled gasped escaping her lips. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to get lost in the kiss, and enjoyed each blissful moment until they pulled away, struggling for breath. Their faces hovered, inches apart for some time before they pressed their foreheads against each other and got lost in each other's eyes. She took a hold of Link's hands and smiled giddily. "Let's get some sleep." She suggested quietly, seeing confirmation in Link's eyes. She laid back down and Link laid against her. She allowed him to wrap his arms around her before she nestled her head under his chin, resting on his chest. "Good night, Zelda." She closed her eyes, her smile remaining on her lips. "Good night, Link." She whispered quietly before falling asleep.

Link woke late in the morning, Zelda seemed to be getting ready to leave. She glanced at him as he sat up and she gave him a soft smile which he returned. "Sleep well?" She tilted her head to the side before he nodded gently. He swung his legs out over the edge of the bed and slid his boots on before grabbing his sheathed sword. "Very well actually, what about you?" He made his way over to her, placing his hands on her hips. She wrapped her arms around his neck and their faces hovered just inches apart. "I can say the same." She hummed lightly before they kissed briefly. "We should get going, we have a long day ahead of us." She suggested after pulling away. He agreed with that, the earlier they went the better. "Very well then, I'll see if I can get some fuel for the Master Cycle."

He made his way over towards Beedle, to see if the traveller had any scrapped Guardian parts to sell. "Ooh! We meet again!" The merchant had been fiddling with some cards, Link never was one to try playing cards, though he figured someday he could try. "What are you looking for? Or are you selling?" Link crouched down, preferring to be eye level with Beedle. "You haven't got any Guardian parts, have you?" He inquired softly. The male nodded enthusiastically before reaching into his bag and pulling out a handful of ancient screws. "I obtained these from that old Guardian graveyard down near Tarrey Town." Link was familiar with the area, he'd slain two Guardians there for a hefty sum some months ago. "That's perfect, how much?" Link pulled out his pouch as he waited for a response. "650 rupees sound good?" Link nodded and pulled out two gold rupees along with one silver one, he handed the gems over to Beedle and received the screws in return. "Cheers for that." Link smiled as he stood up before walking away.

Zelda was already outside, leaning against the machine which was dull due to the lack of energy. Link strolled over, carrying the fuel sources. He tapped on a button just under the saddle which revealed the fuel tank. Link dropped the items in before watching them melt into the dull blue energy. The saddle closed again and Link hopped on before signalling for Zelda to do the same. "How come this required fuel when every other device can run indefinitely?" She asked after a moment, Link shrugged, he hadn't even ever really thought about that. "There's probably a reasonable explanation out there, we'll just have to find it." He suggested, to which Zelda hummed, seemingly in thought. "Perhaps I can dismantle it and see what makes it run.." She suggested softly, Link simply hoped she wouldn't damage it beyond repair. Within a few moments he started up the engine and began to drive.

Not much had occurred during their trip until this point, it had begun to heavily rain which had been far from ideal as it made the terrain a little harder to traverse and was not pleasant due to the fact that their hair and clothes were being drenched. They had opted to travel over the Rauru Hillside to cut the length their journey would take, it was off road which was proving more difficult with the torrential downfall, but nevertheless they were making good progress at this point. They were now cruising steadily along the flat land of Irch Plain, however, the smoothness of their journey was cut short due to a small gathering of water, which had left the ground rather soft, causing the vehicle to become embedded in the ground.

"Oh goddesses.. surely there must be some better way to get it out rather than pushing it, it's not going anywhere!" Link shared Zelda's frustration, having the bike wedged in the earth was far from ideal, and it would mean that they would be spending more time in this cursed rain. Zelda huffed exaggeratedly before using what seemed to be all of her strength to attempt to move the bike, but instead of it moving, she slipped and fell face first into the ground. Link stifled a chuckle before making his way over to her to help her out of the mess. She muttered curses under her breath as she got to her feet.

Zelda looked down at her clothing which was now absolutely ruined, there were patches of mud caking the fabric all down her front. She began walking backwards, out of the mud, her boots were also ruined thanks to the stupid fact that she was sinking in the mud. She groaned with frustration, wishing to just pull her hair out, what was left of it anyways. "Zelda-" She shook her head. "Link, I'm fine." She continued stepping backwards. "No, you sho-" Zelda closed her eyes and sighed quietly, her frustration growing at the fact that Link was now pestering her. "Zelda, please just list-" "Stop it Link! I am fine! Honestly, I don't know why you won't just-" She paused, having stopped against something solid. Her eyes widened as she slowly turned around. "Oh shit.." She whispered before watching a silver Lynel raise its blade. She yelped and dived off to the side as the Lynel let out a soft grunt. She heard Link at her side, blocking her from the Lynel with his shield, she wondered what he was doing before the Lynel's blade hit the ground and flames erupted from the source, though Link seemed to block the flames from hitting them.

Straightaway, Link stood up and began running towards the beast. Zelda scampered backwards before getting to her feet. She felt useless just standing here, she couldn't even summon her bow, for her powers had evaded her, and it would take longer for Link to destroy the creature considering his sword was in a dimmed state. All she could do was watch, though her worries of him getting hurt began to subside as he skilfully fought. He performed backflips, side jumps and parries, he occasionally mounted the beast and began pounding its neck with his sword before being bucked off. She wasn't sure how long she was standing there, but eventually she heard a pained screech leave the Lynel as its life came to an end. It bowed its head low before disintegrating into a mass of purple.

She watched Link sheath his sword and begin walking towards her. She didn't recall falling but it must have happened recently considering she was now on the ground. He came over to her, holding his arm out for her to take. He hauled her to her feet before smiling lightly. "You're cute when you swear." He chuckled lightly, Zelda was flabbergasted. "How are you so.. casual after that?!" The thought confused her to her wits end. "We could have died! And now you're making jokes, how?" He seemed puzzled himself, though she figured she knew why. He always took fighting in his stride, at this point it must appear second nature. "I suppose I didn't see ourselves in any real danger." His response made her scoff with disapproval, they had certainly been in danger, Link had just managed to control the situation. "You know, we're both idiots." She blinked at his statement before watching him take the Sheikah Slate from her. Her heart sank as she watched him summon the bike onto a drier patch of land, such a simple solution, but instead they wasted time and energy trying to move it out. "Today is the worst day ever." She sighed softly before clambering onto the vehicle. She felt his hand on the side of her face then, and before she knew what was going on his lips were against hers. She squeaked in surprise before slowly getting lost in the feeling of the kiss. She panted softly as he pulled away from her before he sat in front of her. "Still thinking its the worst day?" She giggled lightly at his words before shaking her head. "I suppose it could be worse."
