After a fight with Penny makes him stop and re-evaluate himself, Gumball realises that he really does like Rob more than just a nemesis. But how can he like Penny and Rob at the same time? and how does he explain all of this to his family, and more importantly Penny? Hey, thank you so much for reading my story!

I got the idea when I saw a tweet by series creator Ben Bocquelet in which he said Gumball "loves whoever he loves", which basically confirmed that he is in some way gay./benbocquelet/status/1122226256978771968

I thought a story with him coming to terms with this and coming out to his family is exactly the kind of more serious/emotional episode the show itself would do, like The Choices or The Origins. I picked Rob to be the one Gumball had a crush on as it just makes complete sense

I tried to handle the topic with as much care and respect as I could. I'm not gay myself but I wanted to make sure I represented the community in the most respectful and positive way possible. I also wanted to try and represent the struggle some people go through of being scared to come out, due to being scared of the reactions that may come from it. Gumball's family being so supportive and kind to him is what we could only wish everyone was...
