The duo were currently in the chief's hut where the two of them, the chief and Teba were talking. "I'd say I was about five when I first had a serious injury. Kass and I were daring each other to do absurdly reckless tasks. At first it started off mild, we were simply annoying our superiors in an attempt to get a kick out of it, but then it became more competitive. Eventually, he dared me to fly. No Rito had even dared to brave the skies ever since Medoh was compromised. So I'm there flying, thinking everything is actually alright, and then I'm shot down." Zelda was rather appalled by the thought of Rito, including children being attacked by the machine. "Honestly, he was lucky. But I'd never seen such recklessness before." Zelda nodded at the Chief's words before glancing at Link, a smirk arising on her face. "If you wish to see recklessness, simply spend a day following Link around and you'll be blown away." Link tilted his head. "I'm not that reckless." She laughed at that, such a statement was incorrect. "Anyways, I'd better be heading off, Tulin will be causing a ruckus trying to get to the flight range." The white Rito stood up before giving them both a nod.

Zelda placed her hands on her lap before looking at the chief. "Kaneli, it has been a pleasure, I hope to do this again sometime, though Link and I had better get moving again." The Rito nodded sleepily before airily waving his wing. "It has indeed been a pleasure, good luck on your travels." Zelda smiled with gratitude before getting to her feet, and Link did the same. She promptly turned and exited the hut before waiting for Link. When he reached her she laced her fingers between his before continuing to walk. "Though it is late in the evening, I would like to leave for the desert now. I prefer the cold to the heat, therefore travelling at night would be more pleasant." She explained, she knew that travelling at night was a risk, but with the Master Cycle she guessed they would be relatively safer than they would be without it. "I suppose you are right, we can leave then. Though we should probably set up camp later in the night, we can't go losing sleep." He was correct, she didn't wish to ruin her sleep schedule, and she was rather fond of being capable of operating on a full bout of energy.

Some time later they had arrived outside the village. The bike was summoned before Zelda took her seat on the back. Link seemed to have paused, so she looked over at him, he seemed lost in thought. "Sit in the front." He stated after a moment. She frowned at first, wondering if he was pulling her leg. "Are you joking?" She inquired sceptically. He shook his head before gesturing towards the front. "You should learn to use it at some point, now is better than never." She smiled joyfully before shuffling forward before feeling Link sit down behind her. "So.. what am I supposed to be doing?" She examined the various gauges in front of her as well as the handles, it was rather overwhelming. She felt Link's hand brush against her own as he gestured to the right handle. "This handle twists back towards you, when you pull it back it will power up." She nodded, retaining the information in her mind. "Then, you press down on that lever by your foot, that will cause the machine to move forwards." She glanced down at the small lever before nodding. "How do I make it halt?" She asked, she knew she would need such information. "Simply press the button on the left handle." She glanced at the button, it was hard to see, but it was quite accessible. The layout seemed odd, but the whole device was quite odd.

"And then, just start it up and try moving forward." His hand moved away, and she felt his arms wrap around her. The feeling was warm and gave her some confidence. She followed his instructions, placing her foot on the pedal. The machine jerked forward, causing her to yelp at the sudden burst of momentum. "Easy now, just gradually push against it.." His words were soothing and patient, for which she was grateful. She paused for a moment before attempting once more, there was still sudden bursts of speed but it wasn't as bad now. "I've got this, hold on." She repeated the action until she was comfortable that she could ease into the pedal rather than nearly sending them flying off. After getting used to the action she began to traverse forward at a moderate pace. She giggled triumphantly and gently leaned back against Link. "This is incredible, thank you." She glanced at him for a moment before the machine wobbled slightly, and she redirected her focus back onto the road. "You're welcome." He responded gently, she enjoyed that tone, it was rich and calm and made her feel safe.

Her confidence grew with time and she began pressing down on the lever some more, increasing the speed at which they were travelling. The feeling was exhilarating and caused her to let out whoops of joy and laughter. She simply travelled like this for the next hour until the machine began to slow down to a halt. "Out of fuel." Link stated, dismounting the machine. "What will we do now?" She inquired, somewhat disheartened at the sudden stop to her enjoyment. "We should probably find a safe place to sleep for now, walking at night is extremely dangerous." She looked around, they were by Sufula Hill now. "We could set something up at Sanidan Park. After all, you do enjoy a good view." She watched his lips curve into a smile as the pale moonlight caught his skin. "Am I the best fiancé or what?" She giggled before turning around and starting for the location. She felt his hand slip into hers as he caught up with her. "You are the best, and you always will be." She blushed at that before looking at him. "I can gladly say the same, Link."

After about an hour, they had a small campfire going which Link had set up using wood from the Dalite Forest nearby. They were sitting at the base of the horse statue, on the steps of the fountain, silently eating some baked apples. "I can see why you enjoy these views." Zelda's voice cut through the silence. He glanced at her before looking out over the kingdom. It was truly breath-taking, the light of the moon lit up the landscape, making it look serene. "Someday, it will all be restored, and this view will only look better." A thought came to his mind as he kept his eyes fixated on the landscape. "Tell you what, every year from now, on this day, we'll come here and examine the view. We can admire what work we've done, whether it's a little or a lot." She had a smile on her lips when he looked back at her. Their eyes met and she nodded approvingly. "I'd like that."

Not long after, they fell asleep at the campfire, huddled against each other for warmth and comfort. They were awoken the next morning by the piercing sun as it invaded the skyline. Link yawned softly as he opened his eyes. He was currently unsure if Zelda was awake, so he remained still and silent, watching as the sun rose in the far distance, its radiant beams being scattered across the lands as it currently sat on the peak of Mount Lanayru. "Aren't you going to say anything." He was startled by the sudden interruption of his peace. "I didn't realise you were awake." He whispered softly before looking down at her. "I wanted to see how long you'd take, but I got bored." She giggled once more, he loved that sound more than anything. "Well your patience has worn thin in that case." He responded softly. "I've spent 100 years using up every ounce of my patience, I'm not willing to waste any more of it." Her tone was gentle, and he could hear vulnerability in her voice. "But I'm content now, you were more than worth the wait." Her tone was more cheerful now, it was rare for her mood to dip, but it seemed that years of reflection had shaped her to be more positive about things. "Now go fetch some things to fuel the bike with, I've been dying to try it out again." She began pushing him, demanding that he get up. "Alright, alright, I'm going already." He laughed softly before looking down at her. "I'll be back shortly." He stated quietly. "I know, but don't leave me waiting too long." She smiled softly up at him before she sat up and looked out towards the sun. With that he turned and headed for the forest once more to see if there was anything useful he could gather.

10 bundles of wood later and the device was ready to go on a full tank yet again. Link was surprised that it could be fuelled so cheaply, he always assumed that ancient materials were the most efficient way to give it energy. Nevertheless, they were soon on the road again with Zelda in the front seat. He was partially glad that her hair was shorter now, for he assumed had it been at the length it previously was, it would be whipping around his face with the speed at which they were travelling. They continued on for most of the morning before arriving at the Gerudo Desert Gateway, where they had to abandon the bike due to its incapability of traversing sand. "Someday I'm going to fix that design flaw." She seemed frustrated by the halt in what seemed to be a very enjoyable experience for her. "Now for the fun part." He stated with a smirk on his face, she glanced at him before he pulled out two vials containing blue liquid. She rolled her eyes before they took the elixirs. "Let's be off then." She stated gently before they took their first steps into the desert.
