"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"Let it rip!"
Two young boys, no older than 7 and 13 respectively, held up their respective beylaunchers and pulled on their string launchers with all of their might, their respective beyblades landing in the abandoned bey coliseum stadium. One boy looked to be the youngest of the two, with shaggy black hair that had a red splotch on the left bottom side and clothed in a red and black jacket, black skinny jeans, maroon combat boots with matching fingerless gloves, and a small pouch on his belt meant for holding his red launcher and beyblade.
The other was a spiky white haired young man, with a similar red splotch on the left side, wearing a black and gold tank top, black pants and brown boots, his launcher holster dragon themed. While the boys had different skin tones, the older boy having a dark tan and the younger having a pale skin tone, it was clear they were at least half brothers from their similar mannerisms and their similar sounding voices.
"I'm not going to lose this time, Ryuga the Grump!" the dark haired boy said with confidence as his bey charged the other. A Dragonis with a red Dragonis ring and a black facebolt. (Full Combo: Heat Dragonis D125SF)
"In your dreams, Lukas the Shortest!" Ryuga snarkily replied as his own bey charged just as fiercely, clashing with the other. (Wind Dragonis [White energy ring, blue facebolt] 105HF)
The two beys clashed and clashed with all of their might, the two young boys cheering their respective beys with excitement. Ryuga's bey pulled a fake out maneuver before sending Lukas' bey out of the ring with an uppercut, knocking it out of the ring and ending the duel.
"Darn it! I lost again!" Lukas said with a bit of disappointment, picking up his bey and frowning before looking at Ryuga who was smirking gleefully over his victory. "There's no way I can beat a blader like you, big bro. You're just to good!"
"Don't beat yourself up over a loss, little bro." the white haired older brother said as he made his way to the younger, lightly tossing and catching his bey in his hand. "You lasted a lot longer this time."
"That's because I switched my 125 for a D125. I thought that would increase my defense against lower attacks more but you're still way stronger." the black haired boy placed his string launcher and bey into his pouch, looking up at the slightly muscled older boy.
"Remember, changing a part doesn't mean anything if you don't train with it." Ryuga said, placing a hand on Lukas' shoulder as the pair exited the abandoned coliseum. "Although it through me for a loop when I realized you did the spintrack switch."
That made the younger brother smile with excitement. "Really? You never get caught off guard!" he exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and down. Ryuga couldn't help but laugh at his little brother, the pair of them smiling as they walked back home with the sun setting behind them.
"Hey. I'm not going to be gone forever." Ryuga knelt down to speak to his 7 year old brother while a man in a purple suit stood in the doorway, smirking in a dark way. "I'm going to find a bey even stronger than our own, and then we'll be able to be the strongest bladers in the world."
Lukas looked up at his brother worriedly. "How long will you be gone?" he asked, subconsciously fiddling with his bey.
"It will take a few years of training before Ryuga is ready to aquire this bey, my young blader." The man in the suit spoke for Ryuga. "Speaking of which, there is something I must give you, Ryuga." The man reached in his pocket before pulling out a silver bey that Lukas had never seen before. Unlike the normal beys, this one was a full metal wheel without an energy ring and its facebolt was that of a dragon, the word "L Drago" was spelled underneath it in scaley looking letters. The spintrack and performance tip was 105F. "The Dark Nebula excavation team had recovered a prototype of the bey you will be acquiring, although this one has power of its own that is quite formidable."
Ryuga examined the bey before grasping it in his palm and handing it to his little brother, who accepted it with curiosity. "I don't need a prototype to practice with." the silver haired boy said with a cocky smirk. "Besides my brother needs something to remember me by."
"Mr.Ryuga, are you sure? It will be difficult to study this bey. It is a left rotation bey, not commonly seen in normal battles." The purple suit man said warningly sending shivers down Lukas' spine.
"I will master this 'forbidden bey' you speak of in my own way. You can count on that, Doji." Ryuga said with a confident smile as Doji reluctantly handed Lukas a black launcher grip with a white left rotating launcher. The silver haired boy enveloped his brother in a hug following the hand off. "Train and grow stronger so that way when we meet again, you'll beat me in an epic battle."
"I promise, big bro." Lukas said in a small voice, feeling sad to see his brother leave. "I will grow stronger than you."
The brothers broke the hug after a long silence, Ryuga taking one last moment to look at his brother as he and Doji walked out the door, shutting it behind them. Helicopter blades were heard as Doji's personal transport lifted off from the front lawn, leaving Lukas alone with his new bey.
"Let's get strong together...Proto LDrago!" Lukas said out loud as he looked at the originally silver bey, which mysteriously turned a more golden color, it's facebolt, spintrack, and performance tip staying a dark blue.
