I walked around the corner of the tall building and saw a man dressed in black and red. He seemed to be watching someone, and all of a sudden I heard a loud crash. My head snapped around to see what the noise was. There stood a tall man with black and purple looking quite awkward. Then I heard the red-masked one yell "Lethe!". The masked man with purple looked startled "Theseus?!" 'Lethe' cried out in surprise. "What ar-" 'Lethe' began before getting interrupted by 'Theseus'. My mind went blank. I didn't even try to listen to them. I ran off trying not to get caught by them. Those were the top Vigilantes, some of the hero association's most wanted "criminals"! Suddenly, I felt something grab my arm and push me up against the wall. " How much of that did you hear?" growled 'Theseus'. " I didn't hear anything!" I pleaded. They both looked at each other and nodded. " We have to take her with us. She might tell the police or the hero association." 'Lethe' said. My eyes widened as 'Theseus' raised the hilt of his sword and everything went dark.

I slowly opened my eyes as a bright light seemed to blind me. I was about to fall asleep again until I remembered... My eyes snapped open and I looked around. I was in a shabby room lying on a pretty uncomfortable bed. I wasn't strapped down which was strange. Suddenly the door opened and 'Lethe' walked in the door. He seemed surprised to be awake. "Theseus, Hephaestus!" he called out. Two men? Boys? I couldn't tell. They ran into the room and stared at me. "Hi?..." I said hesitantly. "Hi!" said the other boy, ``Hephaestus I believe? " Where am I?" I asked. "Since you heard what we were talking about you're now going to live with us," responded Lethe. " Do you have any family, school, or a job we should know about?" questioned Theseus, "I live alone. I go to SMP College and I work at Clem's Cafe. Why?" I asked. " We just needed to ensure nobody would file a missing person report. We don't need the hero association on our ass more than they already are," responded Theseus. " Is there a coworker you're especially close to or people who would notice you're missing?" Hephaestus asked. ' There is this boy who's like a little brother to me. His name's Tommy. He works with me at Clem's cafe and would probably notice I'm missing.' I said. " Last name?" inquired Lethe. "Uh- His last name is Innit. Why?" I responded hesitantly. " Don't worry we won't hurt him, we just have to make sure he won't be an issue," responded Lethe.

Several years have passed since that day. Now I work as a tactician for the so-called "criminals". "Athena!?" a voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Yes, Theseus?" I asked. "Any info about the heroes we should know?" asked Theseus. "No, but I've heard rumors that the heroes are going to start patrolling the lower districts, but you should be clear for today. Right Hephaestus?" I said. " I've checked all of the cameras in all of the lower districts and so far there have been no signs of them. I'll keep watch for them, You be careful out there Theseus and Lethe," Warned Hephaestus. " We'll be on alert, let's go Theseus." Lethe reassured us urging Theseus to leave with him. I watched as they left once they were out of sight. I turned to look at Hephaestus, he was bent over his computer screen looking through the cameras. I smiled softly. I don't regret meeting them at all.
Theseus POV
As Lethe urged me out the door I saw 'Athena' look at us and then look at Hephaestus, a soft smile graced her lips as she turned back to look for us. She then turned around and started looking at something on her desk, probably a strategy. "C'mon !" Yelled Lethe. "Coming!" I said as I took one final look at my friends before running away into the dark.
We ran away into the city.
TIMESKIP
We were almost done patrolling the lower district when suddenly we heard a scream. We rushed towards the noise when we got there. A man was holding a gun to a young boy with orange hair and fox ears. A hybrid most people don't take kindly to them calling us freaks of nature. I rushed forward and I heard 'Athena's' voice crackle through the headset " Theseus! Rush forward and distract the man. Lethe! You Teleport the boy to another street, me and Hephaestus will be there." Athena told us the strategy. As instructed I rushed forward and delivered a punch to his face. "Stay out of my way kid" Yelled the man " No can do. You know you look pretty strong you could be a luggage porter!" I said excitedly as I told him his true calling. " Hah, You got a lot of nerve kid," said the man angrily. I looked behind Lethe and I quickly slammed his head against the wall. Knocking him out cold, we tied him up and called the police. " Teleport us to the roof of our base," I told Lethe as Hephaestus and Athena walked towards us with the boy following. " Hey not leaving without us, are you," Hephaestus said teasingly. " Nah, But what are we going to do with the kid?" Asked Lethe. " Let's call the police, and leave him here and if you're worried about this guy we can keep watch of him over the rooftops. Athena suggested. " Hey, Wait! ``said the boy, his tail wagging anxiously and his ears pinned back 'Who are you guys?!". We glanced at each other and Athena bent down and said " We're Vigilantes. My name's Athena.'' She then pointed at us so we could introduce ourselves. " I'm Lethe, " Lethe said softly "I'm Hephaestus!" Hephaestus said happily. " And I'm Theseus," I said. " That's so cool my name is Floris but everyone calls me Fundy!" Exclaimed the boy now known as Fundy. " Well it was a pleasure meeting you Fundy but we have to go." Athena said smiling softly at him " See you around kid." was all I said. "Bye!" exclaimed Hephaestus. Lethe simply waved at the boy. Lethe grabbed us and we disappeared onto the rooftops watching over Fundy and that man.
{During the fight} Fundy POV
I screamed as the man pointed his gun at me "Shut up kid, I need you alive but I don't think they would mind if you were dead" Said the man. I kept thrashing and trying to move but he had a firm grip on me. I was lured out of my thoughts when two men walked into the alleyway. The taller one had black and white hair, green and red eyes, and was some sort of hybrid. He was dressed in a black mask with purple accents. He had a black scarf around his neck, he had a black shirt and pants. He had a silky purple cape surrounding him. The other man that walked into the alleyway had blonde hair, and blue eyes, he also appeared to be a hybrid with gorgeous red, orange and yellow wings. He had a black mask, he had a black long-sleeved underneath his shirt, he had a red, white, and black long-sleeved shirt, he had gray gloves, and black pants. I watched as the man with blonde hair rushed towards the criminal he quickly delivered a swift punch to his face. As the man with purple rushed towards me and in a flurry of purple particles he teleported me to a different street where two other people were waiting. I watched them, the man had brown hair and brown eyes, and some goggles were nestled in his mop of brown hair. He had black pants, brown boots, a green sweater, and a black gas mask with yellow accents. H also The woman had brown hair and brown eyes, and she had a black cloak with gold rims surrounding her. She had a white shirt with a brown corset in the middle, black pants, and a sword attached to her waist. The girl smiled at me and said " Are you, alright hun?" "Uh- Yeah, Thank you for saving me!" I said. She smiled at me and the man said "No problem kiddo." The man whipped out a small computer and started typing rapidly on it. "Got it!" he said excitedly. "Now we can watch them take care of that guy." he elaborated. " Great pull up the footage," she ordered. I watched with sparkling eyes as the man with blonde hair slammed the man into the wall knocking him out and started tying him up. Then we heard the blonde man say "Teleport us to the roof of our base." he said to the purple man. I gasped in surprise as the woman picked me up and started running. The man started running behind us " Hey not leaving without us are you" the brown-haired man teased. " Nah, But what are we going to do with the kid?" asked the purple man. I was worried they were going to just leave me here alone. Let's call the police, and leave him here, and if you're worried about this guy we can keep watch of him over the rooftops." suggested the woman " Hey, Wait! I said. My tail starts wagging anxiously and my ears pinned back against my head ' 'Who are you guys?!". They glanced at each other and The woman bent down and said " We're Vigilantes. My name's Athena.'' She then pointed to the others so they could introduce themselves. " I'm Lethe, " the purple man said softly "I'm Hephaestus!" said the brown-haired man happily. I nodded my head and they immediately called my father. When my father got to the scene in his hero outfit he ran straight toward me and immediately started asking questions "Are you alright? Where were you? Who hurt you?!" "Dad, you won't believe it!" I said excitedly "That man who's tied up tried to kidnap me but two men rushed in and saved me. Then the guy with blonde hair rushed towards the guy who kidnapped me and punched him. Then the purple one ran towards me and teleported me to a different street where two other people were waiting. The purple one teleported back and left me with two of his friends. The brown-haired man whipped out a computer and started typing on it quickly and when he stopped he showed us live footage of the fight. It was so cool! " I said jumping up and down " And then when the blonde man knocked him out and the pretty lady picked me up and we started running back to the alleyway, where we met up with the other two. Then they told me they were going to keep watch of me until the police came. When I asked them who they were they said they were Vigilantes!" I said happily as I finished retelling the events. "Oh, and what are the names of these Vigilantes?" asked dad curiously
Wilbur POV
The minute I heard they had found my son I was rushing towards the scene. When I finally got there I ran straight for my child. The minute I got to him I started asking questions "Are you alright? I couldn't believe I would be sure to handle that man personally myself. I took a deep breath to calm myself and asked my son" Oh, and what were the names of these vigilantes?" I asked curiously. I honestly wanted to know the names of my son's saviors so that I could give them a proper thank you. " I don't know…" Fundy said. "I won't hurt them." I said softly "Hm, fine but you have to pinky promise you won't hurt them." Fundy said firmly. " I promise," I said. " Well, the one that teleported me away was called Lethe. The blonde one was called 'Theseus'. The man with brown hair was called Hephaestus. The last lady was called Athena." Fundy finished happily. "'Theseus', Athena, Lethe, and Hephaestus. Alright, I'll be sure to thank them for saving you. Now come on we have to go back to the hero tower" I mused as I pushed Fundy into the car.
TIMESKIP
I walked into Fundy's room and kissed him on his forehead. I walked into the kitchen to see my father and brother leaning against the kitchen counter. "The kid?" my brother Techno or better known as The Blade asked. "Asleep" I responded feeling drained. " So..' my father Phil or better known as Angel began '' what happened?" "According to Fundy, he got kidnapped by that bastard," I said. "Thankfully he's in jail, but how did Fundy beat that man?" Phil questioned "That's the thing," I said, pushing my hair back. " He said some vigilantes helped him escape," I said tiredly. "Vigilantes?! Which ones!" Phil said worriedly. You could rarely tell whether vigilantes were good or bad. Even so, Vigilantism was illegal because the government feared that if they won the people's approval, they would be more likely to trust the vigilantes than them. That's why they sent the heroes to capture them and why they were so desperate to catch that small group of vigilantes they had already won the hearts of the people in the lower districts. "They were some of our most wanted. Theseus, Lethe, Hephaestus, and Athena." I said. " Out of all the vigilantes it just had to be them." groaned Techno. Soon Phil came back with a stack of papers about the vigilantes unfortunately there wasn't much about them.

"Is that all the information we have on them?" asked Phil Incredulously. "Almost everything about this is unknown to us," Techno said. " Why do you even want to find them?" Techno continued. " I want to properly thank them for saving Fundy and well we know that they are some of the few good vigilantes so-" I said before getting cut off. "You want to protect them from Schlatt! Wilbur that's insane! We'll lose our jobs if he finds out!" Phil exclaimed. "Phil calm. We haven't even met them; they may be worth saving." Techno reasoned my eyes lit up with renewed hope. "But we all have to meet them first before we even try to keep them safe from him," Techno said, staring at me intensely. I said and relented "fine." I agreed. Phil stared at us in disbelief before sighing, seemingly sensing we weren't going to back down. "Haah. Alright, but we have to keep them safe from Smile. it's the least we can do for them." Phil said, sighing.
Athena POVAfter we rescued Fundy we went straight home. I knew the others would get worried if we didn't come home on time. "We're home!" I called out. As we all walked to our rooms to change out of our vigilante outfits. As I walked out of my room I saw the boys laying on the couch exhausted. I smiled and started walking toward the kitchen. I saw two boys leaning against the counter "Ah, Deo, Eryn. How are you?" I was a bit surprised to see them here. "Lily," Deo said, nodding his head in greeting. Eryn nodded his head slightly, choosing to stay quiet. I silently observed them as I started preparing dinner, something seemed off about them. "So, how was your patrol?" I attempted to start a conversation. There was a long silence before Eryn broke the silence " We ran into some top heroes." I dropped the eggs I was holding. Panic seemed to control me as I whipped my head around to look at them. "What! Which heroes!? They didn't see your faces right?!" I said in a panic. " Prime mom, calm down," Deo said. " I stared at two of my boys. I turned my head to look at the living room where the rest were. I couldn't bear to lose them, especially not after I found out.
FlashbackI stood there frozen in the doorway. The vigilantes were also staring at me. "How old are you guys...?" I asked cautiously. "Why should we tell you that?!" Theseus said glaring at me. While Lethe and Hephaestus looked at me: shocked that I had seen them in this state. "Why are you even worried," said Theseus, still somewhat harshly. "You guys look like kids! Of course, I'm worried. There are so many things that could happen to you guys in the field! Or what if they catch you they can do horrible things to you guys!"I exclaimed worriedly. All three of them stared at me in disbelief, clearly not believing what I said. "You'd care?" asked Hephaestus in disbelief. " Of course, I would," I said softly. They all stared at each other before Lethe hesitantly said "My name's Ranboo and I'm 14, Tubbo he said pointing at Hephaestus is 13 but is turning 14 in 6 months, and Tommy he said pointing at Theseus is 12 turning 13 in 7 months." As he finished talking I felt something stir in me. Perhaps it was my parental instinct or Prime knows what came over me, as I rushed forward and enveloped all three of them in a hug. I felt them tense up in my arms before finally relaxing. In the end, none of them could hold in their tears. They clutched onto the sleeves of my sweater. I rubbed their backs gently as I contemplated a decision. As I made up my mind I allowed myself to show my wings and wrap them around all of us. They stared at me in shock, especially Tommy. I heard small chirps and my instincts went haywire as I returned the small chirps with my own. Tommy stared at me before showing me his wings and allowing his instincts to take control. "Mama!" he cried out. I distantly wondered if I looked like his mother.
End of FlashbackI sighed after that incident. I grew a lot closer to them and eventually, I ended up being their maternal figure. I also found a lot of other young vigilantes like Deo, Eryn, Freddie, Luke, Purpled, Bitzel, Boffy, and Wisp. I knew none of them had a single healthy parental or adult figure in their life. So I stayed and cared for them, and now that the heroes had almost caught two of my children I couldn't bear to lose them. "MUM" I snapped my head up as I heard my eldest Wisp known as the vigilante 'Willow.' I distantly noticed that
I was on the floor " Wisp…?" I asked softly before everything went dark.
Tubbo POVI was on the couch with Ranboo and Tommy when all of the sudden we heard a scream. We saw Wisp and Bitzel rushing to the kitchen, Tommy was the first to react jumping up and following Wisp. I snapped myself out of my haze and followed after them. When we arrived in the kitchen we saw Deo and Eryn trying to comfort mum. She was shaking and crying, begging them to not take away her children. I st ood there in shock as Wisp attempted to get her attention. I stared at my mum's face. I had never seen her this distressed before. "MUM" Wisp yelled. I jumped in surprise when I heard my mum's voice "Wisp…?" she asked softly. Her voice sounded so weak she looked at Wisp once more before promptly passing out. Tommy released a few distressed chirps as he rushed forward toward our mother. Deo grabbed Tommy and pulled him away "Sorry Sunshine, but you'll only distress mom more if she hears you." Deo said, trying to calm Tommy down. Purpled sighed and said, "Deo let's c'mon let's take Tommy to his bedroom" clearly trying to calm him down before he woke her up. Tommy was attempting to get out of Deo's grip but Deo held him firmly. I turned my head to look at our mum and Wisp. "What do we do now?..." I asked. Luke simply looked at us and said "We might have to get Purpled's brother to help" he said grimly. I sighed knowing that it would take a lot of time to persuade him into helping us. Wisp simply picked up our mum and said "C'mon let's got put mum to bed. Then we can talk over what we're going to do." he said.
TimeskipAfter we put mum to bed we all met up in the living room. Deo, Purpled, and Tommy had returned. Tommy still looked a little miffed but overall he looked a lot calmer than before. I heard Wisp sigh before turning to Purpled and saying "We may have to call in your brother Purpled." It was silent for a moment until Purpled sprung up from his seat "Are you insane Wisp he's with the heroes?!" Purpled yelled. " I know that Purpled! But he's the only one we can rely on right now!" Wisp exclaimed. "Why do we even need Punz?" I asked breaking the silence. "He's the only one who can get the heroes off our ass, and help mama," Tommy said softly. We all flinched after hearing Tommy speak, he had been sitting there so quietly we hadn't noticed he was awake. "Is there any good news at all?!" Luke said desperately. Purpled sighed and said, "Well, Punz doesn't know anything about the whole vigilante thing." I bit my lip and asked Purpled "Does that mean he thinks we're normal civilians?"
