Chapter 4
Mowglii and Bomani have finally seen each other, the wolves are exterminated.
"M-Mowglii?" the mother-wolf croaked as she was on the brink of death.
"Mother! I'm here!" the girl answered as she dearly held Raksha, while Baloo, Mon Tolla and another wolf lucky to survive the genocide, watched with sadness and despair.
"Ohhh, my cub… how you've grown so… how fast you run…"
"Not as fast as you," the naked girl cried. "Never as fast as you…"
"Remember the rules… the rules of the jungle." Raksha told Mowglii. "They will help you in times of need. Listen to Baloo. That big, old bear is wise despite himself."
"I will find those tigers and rip them to pieces. All of them." Mowglii vowed as tears streamed down her face.
"Agh… child… that temper… do not let it get the better of you." Raksha instructed her as she succumbed to her injuries, passing away. Mowgli sobbed into the wolf's fur as she hugged the wolf even tighter. For the next two hours, the girl was burying what remained of her pack.
"We are all that remain." The male wolf, Grey Brother, spoke as he, Mowglii, Won Tolla and Baloo stood, paying their respects to the multiple graves of their fallen family.
"The Shere will pay for this." Mowglii hissed with pure hatred and bitter.
"Now is not the time for bitter words." Won Tolla said as she and Grey Brother went to the edge of a rock. The two wolves began howling. Sobbing once again, Mowglii joined them and standing on her two bare feet, she howled at the moon, mourning the wolf pack, her family. The howls of the three spread across the island and was heard by the tigers, the elephants and Bagheera lurking in the shadows of the jungle.
Once they finished, Mowglii descended deep into the forest. The two wolves and Baloo followed the naked girl.
"Mowglii, where are you going?" the three asked.
"Mowglii, I know what you are thinking but you must stop and think." Baloo told the girl, but she ignored him as she took two long wooden sticks and began sharping one end of each stick with a rock.
"My claws and teeth," the naked girl muttered as she worked on. "they are not strong enough. So I will make some."
Sometime later, she made two wooden spears, which she added to her arsenal, also consisting of a bamboo stick.
Knowing what she had intended to do, Baloo tried to stop her.
"Now is not the time to run off with battle in our hearts, cub." Baloo told her. "This is not what mother wolf wanted."
"Mother wolf cannot want anymore. She is dead." Mowglii answered as she went on in search of Shere Khan and his tiger streak.
While Mowglii was off for revenge, the tigers have reached their home. They were lying under the stellar sky, resting after a bloody battle with the wolves. Shere Khan lied on a rock, purring as the two tigers tended to their king's injuries, licking them. His snout was still filthy with wolves' blood. Bomani meanwhile sat naked nearby, watching the stars. Yet, his thoughts weren't on the stellar objects above, but on the girl he saw among the wolves. She fully conquered his mind, her body, her eyes, her voice. Everything.
Bomani, however, remembered that Shere Khan never told him about others like him. He even lied to him that he was the only one of that kind. But it was clear that he wasn't the only one, and who knows how many more there were. He soon heard his father talking.
"Not this face. This is a taste savoring." Shere Khan purred as the tigers tried to lick his snout.
"What was that thing?" the naked boy finally found the courage to ask. "Holding a fallen wolf?"
"It was a wolf malformed, an annoyance. As you are becoming now, failed tiger." Shere Khan answered as dismissed the two tigers.
"It… she looked at me."
"It was something that have been taken care of long ago." Shere Khan growled. "Of even less consequence. Now that the pack has been decimated. The wolves are all but extinct now. My attention is better served preparing the next army to fall under our teeth and claws. And yours, failed tiger, should be to finally make a worthwhile kill."
With that, the white tiger left the naked human boy alone to himself, thinking about the naked human girl who was searching for a tiger to kill right now.
