imagine your OTP handing out candies in amusing couple costumes

"We are definitely the coolest people here," Sirius said, wiggling his eyebrows.

"We are the only people here," Lily deadpanned, almost voiceless.

Halloween had arrived, and Lily was pouting. She had just recovered from a flu, but she had lost her voice and just now it was returning; Lily was excited for the party Marlene was throwing, but she was unable to attend.

Sirius decided that if she couldn't go, he wouldn't go either. He said it was only fair, since she was his girlfriend, and he wanted to take care of her. Lily thought it was sweet, and rewarded him with some blown up kisses.

"I could have said I'm the coolest person in here, but I think you're great too, Lils." Sirius grinned at her and she had to laugh.

They were dressed up as Sally and Jack from 'Nightmare Before Christmas', and their fantasies were pretty cool if she said so himself. Sirius managed to convince her to give candy with him while in costume, and Lily could never say no to his puppy's eyes.

"You look lovely, Lils, and I say we're rocking these costumes," Sirius said, coming to sit next to her on the couch. "People will come here just to see us, forget about candy!"

Lily kissed his lips, not wanting to mess with their makeup, but she had to kiss him. Sirius was being so sweet to her, foregoing going to the party and wanting to hand candy with her; if she hadn't been in love with him already, this was the moment when she would have fallen for him.

"You're a dork," Lily said in the slip of voice she had, "but you're my dork. I think I'll keep you around."

"Good to know I passed the test," Sirius said, winking at her and quickly kissing her. They were interrupted by the doorbell ringing. "The kids are here to get candy! Time to show how amazing we are!"

Lily laughed, and together, they stood up from the couch and went to the door to give candy. She knew that not many children would recognise who they were, but that's alright; Lily was just happy to be here with Sirius.

It wasn't until they were almost running out of candy that they got a surprise at their door.

"What are you doing here?" Sirius asked, seeing their friends at the front door, all wearing costumes. "The candy Lily bought is for kids, not young adults who behave like kids."

"So this means you didn't get any?" James asked, smirking, with his arms around his girlfriend.

"You think you're so funny," Sirius said, poking his tongue at James. "Now really, what are you all doing here?"

"I was sad when Lily said she couldn't come to my party because she didn't recover fully from the flu," Marlene started, looking at Lily with a smile, "so if Lily couldn't go to the party, we brought the party to her."

Lily had tears in her eyes, and she pulled Marlene into a hug, before whispering a rough 'thank you' in her friend's ear. Marlene was like her sister from another mother, and she couldn't be more glad for her at that moment.

"We're going to finish giving the candy and have a little party," Lily said, motioning for everyone to enter. "There's just a little left."

"Go on, start things while I help Lily," Sirius said, letting their friends enter the house. "Try not to destroy anything today, James."

"Very funny," James retorted, before dragging the rest of the things with him.

Lily and Sirius just watched their friends turn their living room in an impromptu dancing floor, and smiled at their antics.

"No matter what anyone says, we're still the coolest people in here," Sirius whispered in her ear, before lightly kissing her.

She smiled at him and grabbed his lapels to kiss him harder. Sometimes, all you need, is a dorky boyfriend to make your Halloween better.
