Date: 998 002.M30
Current location: Elementia Primus, Elementia Sector
Elementia had changed much during the great crusade, it's once proud ninja villages and feudal style towns and settlements became hubs of both commerce and philosophy. The hidden villages where shinobi were trained became mega cities that spanned well past the designs of their ancient architects.
Konohagakure no Sato was no exception to this, what once was considered a minor city within Elementia had become a center of trade and prosperity unseen by any who called Elementia home, indeed the city itself expanded towards the great mountains surrounding the outer edges of the land of fire and became a metropolis of epic proportions.
The place had become a bustling city, full of both traditional shinobi values and technological marvels, each place of the great mega city had a rich history of both culture and progress. The city had been split into self sustaining blocks, each one combining together to form the city as a whole, these blocks had all the means of both commerce, sustainability and protection should the need arise.
Yet each one whom called Konoha it's home still felt a sense of pride at being a citizen of the great city and would fight tooth and nail to defend it.
Many different citizens from all of Elementia migrate to and from each of the great mega cities, some choose to live the life of nomads, following in the traditions of their family. Others choose to settle somewhere in the countryside, where their lives are more simpler than their city counterparts, yet all who call Elementia their homeland all owe a depth of gratitude to those heroes who fight to defend their way of life.
Which is why the cheering crowds of Konoha gathered around those whom returned from the battle of Ullanor Prime. Hundreds of Millions of citizens gathered around the great parade that formed from the heroes that returned from their great victory.
The regiments of Elementia and the Shadow fox legionaries were blown away from such a display. To see those whom you fought to protect adore you and celebrate for you brought them many feelings of joy and pride.
They marched through the great city, the cheers of victory and celebration hung in the air as they walked and greeted all those within the city proper, each citizen thankful to those brave men and women who pushed back a horror beyond imagining.
Yet at the end of the journey a moment of sadness and somber filled the air, for the armies stood before the great monument of fallen heroes, once a small token to honor the fallen in Konoha, it now became a memorial of those whom fell defending Elementia and her worlds. The once simple stone monument is now an obelisk that reaches out towards Solaris, with twenty statues of some of the greatest heroes in Elementia's past standing guard around the monument.
The Service to honor those that had fallen was a humbling and solemn experience, an ancient tune from Terra's past was played by those whom are still growing yet have taken the oath of service, while the widows and widowers of those whom died on Ullanor prime cried out as the soldiers of their respective companies, both astartes and elementians brought the bodies of those that had fallen to rest upon the hallowed steps of the memorial monument.
Naruto looked on with a sadness upon his face at the sight of those that cried and mourned for their fallen loved ones, already he could even see those orphans whose parents had died at Ullanor try and shake their mother and father, asking them to wake up so they can hug them again.
"All this death... I did this"
Hinata, whom was standing beside Naruto at the time took his hand and stared into his face with conviction.
"They all knew what they had to do and what it would cost them. They knew the risk that they faced and still said yes Naruto. Don't let your doubt blind you from your friends convictions."
"I... Thank you Hinata, what would I do without you"
Hinata smiled at Naruto, as the duo held each others hand, while the service continued well into the night, a day of mourning was replaced with a night of celebration, remembering those that died in their best light, so that others could hear of the tale of these brave warriors for many years to come.
Two Years Later
"Is there anything we can do about this?"
"Unfortunately my primarch, we have performed extensive test from all the patients that are suffering from the symptoms, and we still are unable to diagnose the cause of these issues. I wished I had more information my lord"
"I see... well then please make sure that the patients are treated with the best care you can provide, these are indeed our sisters that are in this suffering"
"It shall be done my lord"
Naruto gave a sigh of frustration, one month ago the female astartes of the legion started to be afflicted with symptoms of some unknown malady, yet every scan and diagnostic showed that the organs of the female patients were in stable function.
This issue became such a problem that some companies were effectively hamstrung because of the male to female ratio between each company, this had forced Naruto to effectively call upon Horus to give his legion secondary allocation during the crusade.
This in turn meant that the Legion would be shadow once again to other legions, playing more of a supplementary force rather than a front line force of their own.
The Emperor himself even looked upon the problem from Terra yet was also at a loss of what was happening with the female patients.
As a precaution, Naruto had used himself as a force multiplier to ensure that the legion can still perform their duties to the Imperium and to the crusade as a whole, yet this has been a constant uphill battle.
The problem was so random that some females were unaffected by this malady yet others were confined to simple task because of the stress to their systems, even with their trans-human ascension it seems that something was still effecting them, resulting in some unprecedented things happening all at once.
Naruto was once again on his holo projector, this time a female astartes was on the screen, yet by the looks she was confined to a bed, yet she held a smile upon her face when seeing the young primarch.
"Naruto"
"Hey Hinata... How are you today?"
"Considering the fact I'm in a constant state of mild pain and discomfort, not too bad my love"
"That's good... the apothecaries told me they were making progress about what was happening to you, and... "
"Naruto, I know you are a terrible liar, you can just tell me they have no idea what is happening more than I do" Hinata looked at Naruto with a smile on her face, as she held her hand out towards Naruto, in return he closed his eyes and imagined his beloved holding his face as he tried to inhale her scent.
"I just... I wish I could hold you, but because of the protocols and such"
"I know my love, I wish I could be in your arms as well... but I will still be thinking of you, no matter where you are"
"I love you Hinata"
"I love you too"
with his final farewell the projector faded with Hinata's image being replaced with nothing. Naruto gave another tired sigh as he sat upon a specially designed chair to fit his rather massive size, it looked as though Naruto had aged a lifetime over this
A call from his vox pulled his vision over, this one took his full attention as the personal sigil of the warmaster was showing upon his screen.
The holo projection started and Naruto was greeted with the sight of his brother, Horus looked like he had seen better days, his armour showing battle damage from recent victories as his eyes held a deep fatigue that none bar his brothers could see. Yet even Naruto could see deeper than this and could tell his brother was not only tired in body, but also in his spirit
"Horus"
"Naruto"
"I know that you just came back from Davin Horus, you should be still resting after what happened to you"
Horus gave a small smile, his eyes looking at Naruto with a sense of brotherly joy
"You have a good heart Naruto, but do not worry about myself. We are both survivors brother"
"I only have concern because you are both my brother and a friend Horus. I've already lost too many comrades from this war, I don't want to lose a brother as well"
"I thank you for your words Naruto, yet this matter I ask of you cannot be ignored"
"What is it you ask of me, my Warmaster"
The projector shunted out of focus as the projection screen powered off, yet Horus couldn't help but have a moment of regret grace his thoughts about his brother.
"You did well my warmaster" said a figure from the shadows, walking into the light the figure was of astartes, yet their face bared iconography of ancient symbols from their home world, the symbols glowed with a light red tint as his eyes looked upon the primarch of the sons of Horus with a thankful smile
"Do you think I did the right thing Erebus? leading Naruto to that planet?"
"I know that you have some doubt regarding some of your brothers joining our cause, Naruto is indeed someone whom could be a powerful ally in our revolution"
"Yet Naruto is someone that others look up to for courage, If he is not convinced to join our cause"
"It will not matter in the grand scheme of things my warmaster, already plans are underway to cripple any chance of Elementia and her vassal worlds from directly interfering with our plans for the Imperium, and knowing these worlds we can safely assume they will see reason when given the proper information"
"I fear I have set a chain of cascading events, paths that might lead to our ultimate victory against father, or our annihilation"
Horus looked once more to the projection, it's power long turned off yet a look of foreboding planted firmly upon his visage
"And I feel that Naruto will be at the center of it all, no matter what side the tide turns"
Somewhere in the void, beyond the sight of the Imperium and her worlds
The sound and smell of warp-craft hung within the air as dozens attended to their duties, many young aspirants were looking through runes of intricate power, divining a path in which their fates can be changed for the good of their fellow peers and people.
Beyond them the void of space peered through the artificial sky, a constant reminder of past glories lost to their own arrogance and decadence, a grim reminder of what must be done to avert the horrors they unleashed upon the mortal universe.
Beyond the Shrines in which fates were woven, many upon this place tended and perfected their crafts across the great stellar entity, wherever that was tending to the life sustaining food of their crops to the repair and maintenance of the ship, to the various aspects of war that many within their home are forced to adapt.
Yet all of them were damned, cursed to forever be pulled to an ultimate fate, a purple haze of ungodly revulsion peering just beyond their sights, a final requiem that will cost them all their souls.
Such is the curse of one of Uthwe's children.
Yet fate showed it's mercurial nature to one young aspirant, a seer that was barely into their first century yet the runes showed something that was beyond his knowledge.
These runes were cycling through various configurations, some the young aspirant knew over a thousand times, yet some that it had no prior experience of, yet it was these unknowns that put fear within their heart.
They called upon their fellow seers, each looking upon this anomaly yet each one had also been stumped at such a unique and unknown combination, yet there was one symbol that all of them could not tell what it was, it was as though this rune was beyond any of them, even their seniors within the seer council that formed could not tell what this symbol meant.
"My elder, what manner of rune is this? I have never seen such in any of my lifetimes" the aspirant asked his elder kin, they too looked upon the rune with upmost confusion, they too couldn't tell what this symbol meant, and even those of the truly senior seers could scarcely recall such a rune maybe once or twice within their many lifetimes
"This rune eludes me, yet I feel that we must take this to the high seer council, Lord Eldrad will have knowledge that we seek regarding this rune, yet somehow this rune speaks of a familiar tone, one that I cannot recall"
The Aspirant moved their scrying monument, including the tools in which this anomaly was cast upon and proceeded towards the council of the high seers.
Eight seers oversaw the entire craftworld, each one of them an ancient from the old kingdom of the Aeldari, each one of them had seen the fall, including the death of their home worlds and the birthing of She Who Thirst, the scream they heard that day had embedded upon them and will never be forgotten until the end of their days.
Sitting within the middle, as the ninth and final Seer of this Council was the savior of the craftworld, he was a man whom had lived a hundred lifetimes and nearly each one of them dedicated to the path of the seer, he is the greatest Psyker among their people and one whom their kin look to for salvation upon these troubled times.
Standing upon the podium, Eldrad Ulthran looked upon the young aspirant with a look of curiosity
"Stand young kin, show us what troubles you" Eldrad said in a calming yet authoritative manner
The young Seer gave a bow of respect, as a show of understanding towards his elders before beginning his speech.
"Honored Elders, I bring a scry of possibly great importance, the runes of fate echo runes that I have no prior knowledge of, and even the assistance of my senior Seers within my council cannot discern such runes"
With but a flick of his wrist and a sharp focus of his mind, the young seer cast the runes of Fate, and just like before the runes became mercurial and indecisive in their Nature.
Like before the Rune flashed before the council, yet it was Eldrad that halted the rune in the air, and a sudden gasp was heard among the council while Eldrad carried a face of pure focus, his eyes narrowed upon the young seer as he stood from his podium and leaped forward before the young ling.
"Do you know what you have cast young one?" Eldrad said as he looked upon the Rune, a look of both fear and elation etched upon his face
"Forgive me my elder, yet I was merely presented with this token to scry upon, nothing more" the young kin could not even look upon Eldrad's eyes as an aura of fear etched upon the young ling's soul.
Eldrad looked upon the rune, already he could see upon his vast memories of his previous lives the significance of this rune, for he had only seen this rune three times within his lifetimes.
And each time, reality itself was re written wholly by the destiny cast upon that rune.
"In all my lifetimes, I have only seen this rune three times. First when our gods gave us the means to travel the very stars, second against the Necrontyr and the war in heaven, and last..."
"When She who thirst doomed us all"
The Young kin gave a gasp as Eldrad walked around the rune, he stepped before the monument the junior was using and noticed a particular item resting upon it's surface.
It was a piece of cloth, something that should be insignificant, yet the image of a snarling fox looked upon Eldrad as it's nine tails fluttered upon the parchment of cloth.
"Where was this item found young one?"
"My lord, it was found during a routine patrol of a recent battle zone, the site of the beast of Ullanor, one of the young aspirants had claimed the cloth from a Mon'Keigh astartes body to be analyzed for any possible conflicts that might come from their empire."
Eldrad took the cloth upon his hands and cast the runes of fate once more, this time Eldrad used his psychic superiority to slow down the mercurial process of the runes, and unlike the unrefined scrying that the young kin had not the fortitude to control, Eldrad and the council could see the runes in their entirety.
Each rune that showed before the council brought a few of the most elder of them to slight tears, seeing such a combination that they could only recall from their moments in their past lives, times when the very gods of the Asuryani pantheon walked among them.
"Such a combination, it couldn't be" Eldrad said as others within the council shared the same opinion.
"My lord, if I may be so bold to ask. What does this mean?"
"These runes, this combination is one that is rare beyond the insight of our very people. The Aeldari Empire had practiced the arts of scrying ever since the birth of our race, our gods gave us the means to peer past the veil of uncertainty and pushed us into our glorious ascension into the stars"
"Even during the war in heaven, our knowledge of the Empyrean was ever expanding, with guidance from our gods and their knowledge to teach us we carved our own fortune and destiny among the stars."
"These runes are ancient words, fragments of the language our gods once used to shape the universe. Allowing us the chance to ascend and conquer the stars themselves, each rune was a true word born from the Empyrean, a remnant of creation."
Eldrad looked upon the casting, now that the runes were sorted and categorized, he could see now the full strand that appeared before him. Yet unexpectedly the ending of the thread was still mercurial, as though fate had no grasp upon this particular thread.
"These three runes are all ancient, runes that were used by our gods to bring both great champions to guide us, and grim warnings of our potential demise."
"The runes before us show but three words: Life, Death and Champion"
Murmurs among the elder council were shared as Eldrad peered more into the runes.
Before all of them a projection of a planet appeared, Eldrad looked upon the planet and steeled his resolve.
"It seems that all fates revolve around this planet. I recommend we send a warhost to this world, the fates of all depend on it"
Eldrad started to walk out from the council chambers as one of the senior seers questioned him
"Eldrad, where are you going?"
"To prepare, this is something that cannot be put to chance in the hands of one who doesn't know of it's true importance, so I shall personally see to it"
Konohagakure no Sato, Elementia, Elementia Sector
Naruto took a knee before the great monument before him, it has been a long time since the shrine of fallen heroes had been visited by his person, already he was before a headstone of those whom died before the unification of Elementia and the beginnings of their operations within the crusade, yet the single ice block that was within his hand was placed with care upon the gravestone.
"Hey Sensei" Naruto said, looking upon the tombstone was the following words:
In Memory of Jiraiya
Sage of Mount Myoboku
Student of Hirusen Sarutobi
"Only one thing matters if you are a shinobi, and it isn't the number of techniques you possess. All you need, is the guts to never give up"
"Sorry I haven't visited in a while, everything has been pretty hectic lately"
"I'm scared sensei, I don't know why I feel this fear, but it makes everything I do that bit more important. It's like something terrible is gonna happen and I don't know what that something is gonna be"
"I really wish you were here, you would have been a great preacher of peace, even when everything around us is reduced to war"
"And the thing about our Sisters, about Hinata. I don't want to lose her, without her I would be nothing, back into that hell I struggled all my life to climb out of."
"What I'm trying to say Sensei, is that if you can hear me, give me a sign I'm going on the right path. That I can take this road knowing that whatever happens I will come out of this better than when I started."
Giving a final prayer, Naruto stood from his former masters gravestone and walked to another one, this one he placed a single sunflower that shined brightly in the daytime sky, this tombstone he also payed respect to. As he walked away from the grave the stone shone with a simple haze of brilliant light.
In Honor of Neji Hyuuga
Shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato
"Fate's Cage can be broken, ones fate is their own"
Uzushio was once a broken land
Yet during the age of reason, the once former village had returned to it's former splendor.
The village had now become a city of progress and importance, as the once desolate was rebuilt and given new purpose. The city itself towered above the landscape, crafted to be both a fortress and a home for those choosing to live there.
It's living quarters innovated for the new age, with everything needed for life to flourish within it's walls, the people of Uzushio were from all places of Elementia and her worlds, each one living together and co existing.
Within the center of this home, stood the greatest testament to the Legion and it's success, the repository and Genealogy center, it was here that the gene seed of the legion was produced and new recruits were ascended from their mortal lives. It is here that the future of the legion would be kept safe from any and all threats upon the Nations of Elementia.
Yet Naruto was not here for that.
Instead, near the Great center, stood a simple style building, it's walls were made of simpler materials and the building itself was a modest size, yet to Naruto this building held more importance to him than any other building in Elementia.
For this was the great Orphanage in which those children of the heroes of these worlds were given a chance at a life denied to them by this senseless war.
Naruto's thunderhawk landed near the orphanage, yet when he opened the gates he heard the cry of children.
"It's big brother Naruto!"
"Naruto ni-san!"
"Big Brother Naruto!"
The tide of children swarmed Naruto as he had a smile upon his face, their bodies thrown towards the young primarch as he took his time to greet every one of the children before him. Naruto had taken the time and effort to establish this home for those who were orphaned by the crusade, a true home for those he owed a debt to their parents for their sacrifice. And so Uzushio grand orphanage was given the chance to be a home for these children.
The Matron of the Orphanage, a former Legionnaire, gave Naruto a bow of respect as she ushered the children back into the building.
"My Primarch Naruto, it is always an honor to have your presence here"
"How are the little ones?" Naruto asked his legion sister
"They are just about to begin their training exercises, it seems these young lings show a spark of creation among them"
"Then why don't I join in their training, perhaps I can teach them a few things"
The children around Naruto shouted with excitement, each one of them pulled the young primarch into the training grounds as they talked about how much they want to show their big brother what they learned.
The Children gave Naruto a sense of happiness, seeing them with such carefree spirits after the horrors inflicted upon them with these wars brought him some measure of peace.
The Children had finished their training and now were hearing about the many adventures that Naruto had partake in the crusade, of course not all of the details could be said about these 'adventures' yet the moral of each told the children of Hope.
"Big brother Naruto, are you gonna stay for dinner with us?"
"I'm Sorry young ones, but I got to go and fight the good fight"
"Are you gonna make the bad people go away?" one of the more meek kids asked Naruto, he turned towards the child as they blushed in his presence.
"Yea. I'm gonna go and make sure all of you can stay safe okay? I promised your parents that I'll protect you all, and I keep my promises"
"In the meantime I'm gonna rely on you all to be as strong as you all can be okay? Can you all be strong for your big brother?"
At the sound of the excited Children, Naruto couldn't help but give a bright smile.
Walking out from the orphanage, Naruto stepped upon the Thunderhawk as he was greeted from his fellow astartes
"Naruto, the Will of Fire is ready for transit, we only wait for your lead"
"There are a few more things I must tend to before we leave for our mission, let us make due to Terraria."
Terraria had changed much during the crusade
Among Elementia and her sister worlds, this one had changed the most, once sprawling with small, localized cities, the planet is now a single, monolithic design of a cityscape world.
Alabast's Replicator machine was a wonder of the modern times, and with such an innovation the cities of Terraria were changed to both technological wonders and mighty strongholds that are able to stand the test of time.
Among them was the great mega city of Vierra, this massive fortress of a city was a creation of Kurosuchi's, crafted from her knowledge from a lifetime of war and given life and purpose to a busking population.
Entire populations of many different elementians call this place home, with sprawling mega structures holding entire communities in a conglomeration of both trade, hospitality and day to day living by it's citizens, yet that was merely it's look from those who call it home.
Defensive wise the city was split into three different sections, each one more defensible than the last, Kurosuchi took what she learned from both her masters and made this grand city both a defensible fortress and a kill zone to attack, making the enemy pay dearly for each patch of ground they claim both outside it's walls and within.
Defensible kill zones, fortification lines and ramparts that could withstand even the most heavy barrages were supplemented by hidden trapdoors and outflanking one way ambush points leading to mighty shield batteries and defensive gun structures able to both defend against a planetary bombardment and strike crippling blows to any armada foolish enough to come in range of it's mighty weapons. Vierra was both armed for times of peace and war.
This was necessary, for Vierra carried a modern miracle.
Within the final steps of these wall, well within the heart of this city lied a true wonder, the first ever replicator factory.
It is here that the Elementian way of life is made, where all manner of both local production and war materials for the crusade are created in incredible quantities.
From it's factory doors are all manner of everyday things produced, from the most mundane items to the great bane gliders and Jaegers that supplement the war effort. All means of production are created within these walls.
This was an absolute resource that gave Elementia an advantage over those within the Imperium proper, so it stands for good reason that her defense is the greatest mustered that Elementia can provide.
No less than five million stand strong as a garrison for this city, each both civilian and trained soldier, and the one in command of these men and women is a lady whom is a hero to those within the crusade and one whom holds the true values of a soldier forged from battle.
Naruto walked from the launch pad as he walked towards this individual, he was flanked by two of his Meiyo Guard, their armour was not activated yet the duo still marched in step with their primarch.
"Commander Schnee, it is good to see you"
Looking from one of her reports, Winter Schnee stood at attention towards the young primarch as she gave a quick salute.
"It is good to see you as well Lord Naruto, I received an earlier transmission on your reasons for visiting replicator factory one, Lord Alabast is awaiting you."
"Thank you Winter, I trust you to take care of my landing craft until my return?"
"Of course lord Naruto"
Naruto gave a firm salute to Winter as he proceeded towards the main factory, his Meiyo guard stood at attention as Winter looked at one of the female guards that was standing at attention before the transport.
"I see you have earned your true calling little sister"
"Overall Naruto. Plans to expand the replicator factories to the rest of Terraria are going according to my calculations."
"And what of your side projects?" Naruto asked as Alabast was looking through his many data banks
"In time I will return to them, but for now expansion and consolidation of Elementia's available resources is my main priority."
Just then, a crash was heard that startled the two, rushing to the room in which the clash happened the duo looked on with different reactions.
Naruto looked at the individual sprawled upon his mess with a strained smile, while Alabast looked at the individual with a look of total apathy.
"Leonard! Boy what are you doing?"
The young tech adept Leonard was tangled in a series of wires upon the throne of the once former ork warlord Urlakk Urg, he tried to pry himself free from the tangled mess of wires and scrap he had created yet in the end he relaxed his body in an audible sign of surrendering to the mess he had created.
"I was trying to get into the central machinery to prove if my theory was correct, yet it looks like I am a little... displaced"
"Your Stuck" Alabast said, a neutral look upon his face
"What? No.. I am just... yea"
"Naruto. Can you kindly remove my apprentice from the mess he made?"
Naruto walked towards Leonard. Being as careful as he can be as he pulled the young adept from his impromptu web of wires and settled him down onto the ground.
"Honestly Leonard. If I didn't know you could understand that technological mess, I would say you were intentionally giving me an aneurysm."
"But Alabast. This technology is fascinating! Just before I found out how the inner chambers of this throne operate, and how it was able to create the Eisen effect! This technology is a gold mine for my research into possible alternative means of interstellar travel!"
"Boy. Your still too young to be even thinking of the possibility of interstellar travel. Let alone something that is superior than our current Warp drives"
"But that's the thing Alabast! This method wouldn't be using any medium. Rather making two points in space temporarily intersect. This would mean that we wouldn't need the immaterium to travel"
"Yet it seems you are still playing around with this thing. Sometimes I wonder why I even authorized the damn article."
"A risk not taken is an opportunity lost"
"Don't go and start quoting me boy! This is serious business we are discussing. I would like it if you remained quiet while Naruto and I discuss actual important issues"
Alabast walked back into the other room as Leonard had a sulking look upon his face. Naruto could feel a slight feeling of hurt from the young adept and decided to give him a pick me up.
"Hey. Cheer up Leonard. I know you can do it"
"You really think so Naruto?"
"Of course I do. You have guts to be able to reach for things no one has ever thought about. That is something that makes you unique among others. I say let your gut feeling give you a push in the right direction. And remember"
"To never give up?"
"That's right. Never give up"
"Welcome back lord Naruto to Salacor." The director said to Naruto as he was inspecting the current production line of the new smaller class of walkers.
"How is the production of the mark 3 sub jaegers director" Naruto said, looking upon the many rows of terrarian and elementian citizens coming together to forge mighty machines of war.
Upon these rows of production lay the newest jaeger models, a smaller sub class of the mighty war machines employed by Elementia. These were born from a logistical problem of size, where the massive jaegers and their various marks were deemed too large for smaller skirmish operations. From this problem the sub-jaeger class was born and the different mark iterations were designed, with the current version being the mark 3 'paladin' pattern of war walker fighter.
"Production of the Mark 3 paladin model is coming along within expectations, already two hundred thousand of these marks have been given to commander Soviesky to be trained in the many different functions of the model. Other productions have been given where available to the various expedition fleets employed by Elementia and the various war zones as directed by the council, yet the supply of resources is rather limited due to the required materials for the newer marks requiring replicator precise parts"
Naruto had given a nod of understanding while reading upon the status report of Soviesky and his company,he had met the commander once before, sometime after the great battle of Ullanor and during various small skirmish operations during the crusade, the man was terrarian born from the province of Lithuna and showed himself a capable leader in the arts of mechanized warfare. Naruto had noted that the man was one whom duty was taken with a serious demeanor, that his men and women under his command be given all that they need to bring victory where it is needed.
"The paladin pattern is the most streamlined design yet. With improvement upon their compact chakra reactors and equipped with various self miniaturized compact replicators. They are also equipped both with modern high-output thrusters and also a more traditional three dimensional gear system that was more prevalent in the earlier times during Terraria's past, when alien titans had to be killed by more up close and personal means, this system relies upon high tensile adamantium cables with simple but effective grappling systems that can penetrate even the most stubborn armour."
as an illustration of this, Naruto and the director was looking upon the testing range where the paladins 3d gear was being tested, the mighty machine was hooked upon the upper walls of the factory by mighty industrial cables, able to both withstand the sheer weight of the machine and be able to endure any abuse made towards the vital piece of equipment along with giving a surprising amount of mobile freedom, allowing the machine to perform even the most acrobatically challenged maneuvers.
"And even with the inclusion of the mark 3, jaeger and baneglider productions are still within acceptable standards? " Naruto asked as he looked through the various manuscripts before him.
"We are having some minor difficulties with semi common resources, but overall the production line has not suffered much in terms of fulfilling our obligations"
"That is a relief" Naruto said, a look of content upon his face as he looks upon the production line, even here he can see various planetary personnel from different parts of Elementia working together to ensure these machines of war are given the care an respect they deserve.
"I feel that something is about to happen. Yet I do not know what the scale of consequences of this will be. I just hope that we are prepared to weather this storm. But I wished we had more time"
"Lord Naruto. We are coming upon the world."
Naruto Looked out among the Will of Fire to the world before him. This world was within Elementia's system yet was a planet that was not created by the Enkou during the first creation of the chakra worlds .
This planet was made by his own hand, carved by his own Chakra and sheer will made manifest.
The planet itself showed a great resemblance to the Terra of old, it's blue atmosphere and expansive oceans making way to planetary continents, each showing a vibrant green and crystal shine of vibrant colours. Across the main continental plates showed valleys and great rivers of crystal blue, surrounded by an ocean as vibrant as the eyes that looked upon this mighty planet.
The will of fire maintained a orbital pattern while Naruto and his escorts made planet side upon a thunderhawk, it's descent feeling unnatural to the pilot, as though the planet was welcoming the aircraft back into it's arms.
Beyond the atmospheric re entry being one that felt more spiritual than scientific, the massive tree's upon the world showed their true scale now the thunderhawk was passing through them. Each one a crystallized tree with a trunk of a majestic brown, which belayed it's artificial origins.
Yet even from here, the legionaries and Naruto could see entire communities of villages and houses taking shelter within the great branches of the tree's, they could see thousands of people mingling among the tree canopies, a community of people going through their day by day life as though this was the complete normal.
These communities were connected together through great expanding bridges, monumental crystal structures that were grown from the tree's themselves. Each tree was as entwined with the next as the one before it, a massive circuit of nature providing for it's populations.
The thunderhawk then settled before a great lake, it's crystal clear water shone with a multicolored spectrum that was a wonder to bare eyes upon. Those legionaries that were new to this world could not hold back a few tears as the sight of this majestic vision gave them a sense of love and comfort. Yet Naruto merely looked at the view with a sense of contentment, looking instead to those whom call this planet home.
"Welcome to Menagerie Prime lord Naruto" Chief Ghira of the Faunus greeted Naruto, he merely gave the Faunus man a great hug, as was custom for friends of equal standing.
"Chief Ghira. I see time has not left it's mark upon you yet" Naruto said, a smile upon his face.
"That's because I am too busy with my people's needs to worry about something as irrelevant as age. Come my friend, let us talk"
"The crystal harvest of seeds is coming to bear fruit my friend, already we have reached our quota required by my peers tenfold. This world continues to give us gifts I feel we are not worthy of"
"You are my friend Ghira. The faunus are elementians and are family. No gift is beyond the bounds of family"
Naruto and Ghira walked among the city steps of Kuo Kuana, the once faunus city on remnant had been changed once Menagerie Prime had been created for the faunus people. The planet itself was a gift by Naruto for the faunus to pursue their own destiny, a planet he created from the great expanse of the system and breathed life by Naruto's own hand, the planet was a chakra world through and through, a living ecosystem that acted as both protector and provider for the faunus people.
The great Dust tree's supplied faunus with every need the faunus would require, from the nutrition of the local Caloka fruit and it's many varies berries, to the great crystal homes that the faunus build using their own chakra, molding the great tree's to how they see fit, to the seeds of the great dust leaf that shine a purest light.
Naruto and Ghira were walking towards the craftsmen guild, the home of great sculptors and craftsmen of the dust seeds. Entering inside the great halls that were within the heart of the crystal tree Naruto could see over two hundred faunus working on the production line, each one in their procession a dust seed that they carefully sculpt and mold into what would become a vital component to most dust weaponry that would ever be produced.
The dust lens.
This simple yet masterfully crafted component is the only non-factory machined part of any dust weaponry, and Menagerie Prime was the only true supplier of this vital component.
Within the Heart of the crafting guild lied a statue of Naruto, holding his hand out as a lone seed shine within his palm, the sculpture was a true wonderful art piece and was given flair and colour by all the Faunus that had taken part in it's creation.
"I feel a sense of forewarning Ghira. Something disturbs me but I do not know yet what it is"
"Perhaps this crusade is draining you more than you realize. Out of all those whom fight non can claim they fight on a thousand different worlds at any one time"
"Perhaps so, yet Horus has recently demanded I do not overextend myself trying to help everyone in need. He says I should let others share some of the burden that I place upon myself. Yet I cannot help shake this feeling"
"Like a shift in the tide or a scent in the air"
"Exactly Ghira. Something big is coming, I can feel it in my bones and whatever it is scares me"
"Perhaps Naruto" Ghira said as the two sat upon a long seated chair, Ghira resting his legs while Naruto sat beside the faunus as a sign of respect
"You are feeling the burdens of leadership weight you down so much that you cannot see the entire forest anymore. Perhaps you should take this mission Horus has given you to reflect upon yourself and find some measure of inner peace."
"I... I think you are right on that regards Ghira"
"Yet ultimately, it is up to you if you decide to follow this path or not. You are the master of your own destiny"
Ghira began to stand once more, the old creaking of his bones showing that age indeed was effecting him in more ways that merely outwards.
"But enough about that. Please tell me... how is my little Blake doing?"
