Chapter : 2.
Odd opened his eyes. He was lying on a cot in an infirmary. A cold washcloth was on his head and a blanket was covering him. He looked at the door and Yolanda walked in. She walked over to the blonde boy and put a thermometer in his mouth. She took his hand and squeezed it. She walked to the door and opened it. His sisters were in the hallway.
"Is Odd okay ? ," he heard Pauline asked.
"He has a high fever ," Yolanda replied.
"Can we see our brother ? ," Adele asked , "Please ?"
"You may ," she said.
Yolanda moved to the side and his sisters rushed to his side.
"Odd ? ," Louise asked , "Can you hear me ?"
He stared at her. His head was on fire. He felt like his brain was melting. Louise's voice sounded faint and far away. "Odd ?" He didn't respond. She looked at Yolanda. "What's wrong with him ?" Yolanda closed her eyes.
"We don't know ," she said , "He has a high fever. He hasn't spoken a word since he got sick."
Marie gasped.
"Is our brother going to die ?"
"We don't know ," Yolanda replied , "All we can do for now is make him comfortable until the test results come back."
"Oh no ," Pauline stated , "Please don't die , Odd !"
She put her head on her brother's chest and started sobbing in to it. Her tears soaked his shirt. Odd wanted to tell her to stop crying but he couldn't. He closed his eyes.
Odd opened his eyes and sat up in bed. He looked around. He was in his dorm room. He sighed. That was a weird dream. He looked over at Ulrich. He was sleeping. He looked over at Kiwi. Sleeping. Odd sighed and his door opened. It was Sissi.
"Come on ," she whispered.
Sissi started to walk down the hall. She walked to the end of the hall and turned around. She motioned for him to follow her. Odd sighed and ran after her. When he caught up to her Sissi opened a red door and walked inside. "Come on , Odd." Odd followed her in to the room.
They walked over to a gurney with a body lying on it covered in a sheet. He looked down at the toe tag. Name : "John Doe." Why were they doing this again ? Sissi pointed at another body. Odd looked at the name. Name : "Adele" His sister. Odd backed up in shock. Suddenly Adele's eyes opened and she sat up on the table. She turned and looked at her terrified brother.
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT ! ," Adele's body screamed.
She jumped off the metal slab and jumped on top of Odd. He looked around. Sissi was gone. He looked back at Adele. She smiled sickly. "Poor little , Odd. No one loves you. . .but me." Adele brought her lips down and kissed her brother. Odd gagged and shoved her off of him. He got up and started to run. He felt a hand grab his leg and he fell forward and hit the ground. He looked back and saw Adele had ahold of his pant leg. "Don't leave me again , Odd. Please." Odd kicked her in the face and got to his feet. He started to run to the door and stopped. He saw Pauline's body standing at the door with Elisabeth , Marie and Louise.
"Hey , bro ," Marie said , "We've been waiting for you."
"W-What is happening ? ," Odd asked.
His dead sisters all surrounded him. They all smiled.
"Come be with us , Odd ," Marie said , "Come be dead. . . .like us."
Marie jumped on top of Odd. She opened her mouth and bit in to Odd's neck. Odd screamed. His other sisters surrounded him and they all started to bite in to his flesh. Adele bit his right leg. Pauline bit his left leg. Elisabeth bit his right shoulder. Louise bit his left shoulder. They all began to gnaw on him. Odd screamed again.
Odd shot up in bed. Sweat poured down his head. He looked around. He wasn't at Kadic. He was home. He looked over at saw Adele sleeping next to him. He looked around. He was in Adele's room. Why was he in his sister's room ? He looked up at the door and noticed Pauline glaring at him.
"I can't believe you ," she said.
She walked off. Odd got out of the bed and ran after Pauline. He saw her walk in to the kitchen. He walked in to the kitchen and saw Pauline standing in front of the sink. She was crying.
"What's wrong , Polly ?"
"Why do you love Adele more than me , Odd ? ," she asked.
"What ? ," Odd asked.
Pauline pulled out a knife and stabbed Odd in the stomach. Odd fell to his knees. He looked up at his sister. Pauline smiled.
"That's better."
Odd blacked out.
Odd opened his eyes once more and looked around. He was in a jungle. He was laying next to Adele. She was holding a machine gun. He had one too. He looked to his left and saw his mother , Marguerite , with a gun as well.
"Odd , what do you see ? ," she asked.
"What ?"
"What do you see through your scope ? ," Adele replied.
Odd looked through his scope. He saw a horde of zombies walking slowly towards them.
"I see. . .zombies."
"Okay ," she said , "Let's move out."
They got up and walked over to a fence.
"What are we doing ? ," Odd asked.
"We're trying to get to the canned food ," Marguerite said , "We're in a zombie apocalypse , Odd. Don't you remember ?"
"Is XANA behind this ?"
"Who is XANA ? ," Adele asked.
"Nevermind ," he replied.
"Let's go ," Marguerite stated.
They climbed over the fence and jumped to the ground. Marguerite looked over at the building in front of them. "There it is." They looked around for any zombies. She nodded and they ran to the building. Adele looked through the window pane on the door.
"I see the food ," Adele said , "Odd , do you have the key card ?"
Odd reached in to his pocket and pulled out the card. He handed to his sister who took it. "Nice job , little brother." She swiped the card in the slot and the door opened. They walked in to the room and Marguerite opened a box. She picked up a sandwich.
"This is it ," she said , "Now we have to get a chopper in here."
Marguerite pulled out her walkie talkie and spoke in to it.
"We have the food. Send the chopper."
"Oh , shit ," Adele said.
Odd turned around and gasped. The zombies had gotten in to the building. They started walking toward them. Odd rose his gun and shot three of the zombies in the head. Seven more took their place.
"Shit , we're trapped ," Marguerite said.
She pulled out a fire grenade and threw it in to the crowd of zombies. Odd heard a scream and turned around. He looked up and saw Adele on the ground.
"ADELE ! ," he shouted.
He ran to his sister's side and grabbed her arm. "ADELE , GET UP !"
"Odd. . . ," Adele moaned.
Suddenly a zombie grabbed Odd and bit him on the neck.
Odd's eyes snapped open. He sat up on a cot. He looked around. He was in the infirmary in the school. The door opened and Yolanda walked in.
"Finally awake are we ? ," she asked.
"Yolanda ? ," Odd asked , "What happened ?"
"You've been sick ," Yolanda replied , "You've had a high fever. You been asleep for seven days. How are you feeling ?"
"Okay. I guess ," he said.
"Your sisters are outside ," Yolanda said.
"They are ? ," Odd asked.
"You we're deathly ill , Odd ," she stated , "We called them because we thought you we're going to die. Do you want to see them ?"
Odd closed his eyes and sighed.
"Send them in."
Yolanda nodded and walked out of the room. His sisters ran in a few minuets later. They hugged him.
"Odd ," Adele said , "How are you feeling ?"
"Sick."
They laughed. Pauline kissed him on the forehead.
"I'm so glad you're better ," Pauline said , "I love you , little brother."
"Now we can do the surgery ," Yolanda stated putting on her gloves , "Hold him down , please."
His sisters each grabbed his arms and legs and held him down.
"What are you doing ?! ," Odd cried.
"Relax , Odd ," Yolanda stated raising a scalpel , "Everything's going to be alright."
She brought the scalpel down and cut in to Odd's chest and cut down to his stomach. Odd screamed.
