Steve was a simple man. He had one went on great adventures. He traveled to Hell, and used its raging inferno as fuel for his netherite furnace. Wiped out the indigenous piglins, and mined all the gold he could find. He had traveled to the end. Killed the massive dragon that guarded the city, and took the ancient technology of flight. He built great cathedrals and colossi. He created redstone marvels that carried him anywhere in his cites he wished, and supplied him with a constant stream of resources with which he continued to create. He created massive cities. One small problem. He was alone. All of his ancestors evolved into horrifying spindly creatures that get extremely aggressive when you so much as look at them. Alas, Steve was a lonesome man. Once he realized he would never meet anyone to fall in love with, or even talk to he became furious. He jerry-rigged one of his early quarry machines into a machine of mass destruction not only did he destroy one of his cities, he destroyed the land it was built upon, down to the bedrock. He grew cold after that. He settled down. He no longer valued life the way he had. Not only did he build monster farms, but he built animal farms. There was a main breeding group of animals. They existed on a grate. The moment one gave birth the animal fell through the grate into a masher, making a ground up pork-beef nutrient goop that accounted for most of Steve's diet. He settled down. No longer having the passion to build grandiose cities, he fell to only doing minor science experiments. He did however have one companion. His dog Rex. Rex was a good boy. The goodest of boys. While Steve was cold and uncaring toward the rest of the world, he gave Rex all of the love in him. He was working on trying to find new dimensions. He had found humanoid creatures in the last two, so it was a fair bet to say that the next would have intelligent life.
He was experimenting with different portal types. Obsideon and flint and steel was the key to the nether. It made sense. Start a fire on igneous rock and you get a portal to Hell.
"OK... test number 8405273... sea lanterns and water! Makes sense. Ought to do something. This time or I'll quit." he sighed
He emptied the bucket of water on the ring of sea lanterns and to his surprise the water spread up around the ring forming a film of water.
"OH FUCK!" Steve proclaimed.
Water started spewing out of the portal and quickly filled the room. Steve, now holding his breath, hurried to break a sea lantern with his netherite pickaxe. He was slowed down a considerable amount by the water, but that was easily negated by his efficiency V enchantment. The water drained out the door and off into some sewer grate in what was currently his newest city, Foxton, which he named after a group of foxes that he slaughtered at the center of what would soon be the city.
"Damn. I'll have to check out that city later when i get a turtle farm going. Alright whats next... glowstone and water... maybe it'll send me to heaven." he whispered to himself. He had grown the habit of talking to himself seeing as there wasn't anyone else to talk to. Or judge him.
He set down the ring of glowstone and poured some water on it. The water rose straight up this time, moving in a strait line at a constant speed. The water the started to spiral and grew deeper, seemingly stretching away from Steve in a vortex, although from the side it didn't appear any different. The water then turned a deep maroon at the center, spreading out into lighter shades of red.
"Well nothing's trying to kill us yet so that's a start" Steve quipped "Howsabout you and I check it out old boy, waddoya say?
"*Woof!" Rex chastised in a sarcastic tone.
"You're right buddy, we should just jump in."
The two jumped into the vortex, without hesitation. They arrived in a strange land one that was very... umm... damn it whats the word! Right, round! Steve had no idea how he even knew that word considering everything in his world was cubic. he looked down at Rex.
"Whoa, you're all round! and you got bristly shit all over ya!" Steve said as he ran his hand through Rex's fur "So am I! I'm all round! But not as much as you. Is still got some sharp edges."
Indeed, Steve was JACKED. He was two meters tall and capable of carrying 355406054.4 kg while running indefinitely.
I hope you liked this short chapter. This is more of a proof of concept than anything but I will try to update weekly. Feel free to comment your opinions, suggestions, corrections, and whatever else you might want to say!
