HTTYD fanfiction Hiccup Warlord

Backstory: Instead of Astrid coming to the cove and taken on the flight, Hiccup leaves Berk and heads to Outcast Island where he and Alvin come to an agreement.

Story:

The story starts as Hiccup arrives at the Cove. He and Toothless pack up and head off. About a day later he ends up on Outcast Island. As Hiccup wakes up, he sees he is surrounded by Outcasts.

"State your name and business!" Orders one the Outcasts.

"I am Hiccup, heir to Stoick the Vast… or at least I would've been, if I hadn't left." Says Hiccup. "and I have come to rid Outcast Island of its dragon raids."

"You can do such a thing?" asks a much skinnier Outcast.

"Yes, after all… not everyone is able to train a Nightfury." Says Hiccup as Toothless comes out from the shadows.

"Thor's Hammer… that is a Nightfury… never thought I would see one up close." Says the lead Outcast. "How about you get rid of our raids… and we shall see?"

"I am sure that is adequate…." Says Hiccup.

Over the next few days Hiccup works with the dragons making sure the raids on Outcast Island no longer affect the land. After a week, Savage one of Alvin's main warriors heads to Hiccup to share some news.

"Hiccup… Alvin has just received news that a group of Dragon Hunters led by Ryker and Viggo Grimborne wish to speak with you…." Says Savage.

"Very well… let Alvin I will be requiring your fleet of ships." Says Hiccup.

"Very well, sir." Says Savage as he heads off towards Alvin.

"So, what does he want?" asks Alvin.

"He wishes to let you know to gather the fleet, he will be heading off with them." Says Savage.

"More and more of our resources get put into his rule… and for what? Ships that can carry large amounts of people?" asks Alvin as the fleet of ships prepare to leave.

As Hiccup arrives at the meeting point, he sees a large armada of ships.

"Alright remember, they wish to speak to me… so be ready for anything." Says Hiccup as they enter the Hunter's Cove.

As Hiccup and his small fleet of Outcast ships enter the harbor they see many ships being built all over the place.

"What strange vessels." Says one of the Outcasts as their ship docks.

"These ships will allow us a higher storage carrying rate and a higher amount of crew." Says one of the Dockhands. "Hiccup Viggo is waiting for you…."

As Hiccup enters the cave system he sees a large room sitting at the end filled with a few people.

"Ah Hiccup… glad to see you've it." Says Viggo.

"Master Hiccup? What are you doing away from Berk?" asks Johann.

"I was Exiled for allying with a Dragon." Says Hiccup.

"Well, I am sure the army can do with learning a few things from you." Says a mysterious man in a red dragon skin cloak. "The name's Krogan."

"He works for a higher power, Johann is our intel and Ryker is my brother and leader of the ships… I am the chief of our Hunter's clan." Says Viggo. "Anyway, down to business, I suppose you are here to meet us about the alliance?"

"Yes… I also ask that we use your base and materials to work on a new ship... I even made the designs for the vessel." Says Hiccup handing them a blueprint of a ship with the design of a Nightfury. "I call it the Nightfury, once complete, it will hold 100s of soldiers, weapons, and dragons."

"I might bring this up with the higher power… perhaps he can make some arrangements." Says Krogan.

"Yes, I will get the hunters to start working on cages for dragon-"

"No, none of the dragons are to be locked up in cages." Says Hiccup. "however, Ryker I have a job for you and your men… attack Berserker Island to show your strength. Leave one as a message."

"Very dark… but could work. I agree, with the new ship, the Outcasts, and Dragons… we will have no opposing forces." Says Viggo. "Get to work at once then brother… we have much to do."

"I suppose I shall head off and keep trading for information?" asks Johann.

"Johann, you are the most important person we have… make sure that Berk knows of this power… next we destroy the Meathead Tribe, then the Bog Burglars." Says Hiccup.

As the ships are released, Hiccup and Johann talk.

"I hope you know what you're doing Hiccup, this is uncharted waters… making a war against the viking villages, can only lead to death." Says Johann.

"Which is why I have a message for you to deliver to Mildew. Tell him his assistance is required… the Outcasts will pay him anything to make sure Stoick and his village underestimates the threat."

"Very well." Says Johann. "See you again Hiccup."

As Hiccup sends his fleet off to Outcast Island, Viggo walks up to him.

"My dear Hiccup, Krogan is on the way to his boss to deliver the news, I trust you know what you're doing?" asks Viggo.

"Of course, Berk mistreated me for years… it is time I treat them the same." Says Hiccup as he walks off to oversee the progress of the Nightfury.

A few days later Berk hears of the news about the Berserker tribe being obliterated by a mysterious army.

On Berk.

As Berk prepares their defences, they see a ship carrying the Berserker Crest.

"Chief, a ship carrying the Berserker Flag…." Says one of the Dock guards as Chief Stoick The Vast walks to the docks.

"Very well, let's make them feel welcome." Says Stoick as the ship stops at the docks and they see one man tied up to a mast. "Oswald?"

After they untie Oswald, they take him to the Hall.

"Oswald, what happened?"

"They came during the night… attacked us with the power of fire and arrows… nothing I have seen compares to it…." Says Oswald.

"Who came to attack you?" asks Astrid Hofferson berk's to-be Shieldmaiden.

"Like I said, they attacked at night… but whatever it was made the sound of bows firing and catapults shooting boulders." Says Oswald. "Although I did see something strange… a shadow flying with something on its back."

"You mean to say there is a Dragon Rider out there?" says an old man with a walking stick.

"Mildew… can't stand the sight of you as always." Says Oswald.

"Well, it would seem as if you deserve it. As after all, you got beaten." Says Mildew. "I would have made sure those beasts were no match for us."

"Well what could you have done about an army the size of 50 ships?" asks Oswald.

"There is no fleet out there with the power of 50 ships… that is impossible." Says Stoick.

"Saw it with my own eyes, Stoick… a large fleet which made Berserker Island go extinct… if it weren't for Dagur I would not be here now." Says Oswald.

"Do you know if he got out?" asks Fishlegs Ingerman the future librarian and teacher of Berk.

"I did not see… all I saw was he left and distracted the guards which were about to slit my throat… if it weren't for him I would be dead." Says Oswald.

"I think it is time we visit the Meathead tribe… they are the only ones capable to such destruction." Says Stoick.

"No, the flags of the ships belonged to a different clan… one with a fist encased in fire." Says Oswald.

"A fist encased in fire?" asks Fishlegs.

"Yes, hundreds of men came on the island led by one. Tall and filled with scars… dragon scars by the looks of it." Says Oswald.

"Alright Oswald, sleep and we shall keep discussing tomorrow." Says Stoick as he walks over to the table of the Elder's council. "Send a message to nearby villages, they need to be aware of this new threat."

"Ah, don't bother Stoick, if they knew about us knowing, don't you think they would destroy Berk before their next target?" asks Mildew.

As the Berkians started to figure things out however, a large amount of ships approached the Hunter's Cove.

"Ah, I see Krogan gave the message." Says Ryker.

"Indeed, let us see what this Higher Power has to offer." Says Vigo as the lead ship docks and a large man walks off onto the docks.

"Show me the one who came demanding an alliance." Orders Drago as Viggo leads him into the meeting chamber where he sees Hiccup and his guards inside. "I see Krogan was right. It is good to finally meet you."

"May I offer you a seat? And some Mead?" asks Hiccup as a few servers come out.

"That will not be needed… so about this Nightfury Vessel… tell me the plans for it." Says Drago.

"Gladly, but first I have a job, destroy the Meathead tribe." Says Hiccup.

"Very well… get the men to attack." Orders Drago as one of his vessels leaves.

"Alright, this ship is going to the centre piece of my army… with it we will burn many more villages, and train many dragons." Says Hiccup as Drago walks to the prints. "I hear you are in need of a Dragon Army?"

"That would be true." Says Drago.

"Good, help me and I will have you sitting as the commander of the Dragon Fliers." Says Hiccup. "Viggo tell your men to start fortifying other islands as once Berk or any other power knows of our threat they will want to start tearing down the outposts."

"As you wish Hiccup." Says Vigo as he walks off.

"Now Drago… I have a requirement. Release your Trappers and stop trying to gather dragons by shooting them down, I will deal with that myself." Orders Hiccup.

"Master Hiccup, Trader Johann is here to speak with you." Says one Hiccup's Outcast guards.

"Let him in and gather the Council of Draconia." Says Hiccup.

Once the Council of Draconia arrives, Johann is let into the fort.

"Ah, young Master Hiccup, a pleasure to see you again." Says the Trader seeing Drago and the council members all gathered. "I see you have gathered another member… how fortunate."

"This is Drago, he is the leader of Flier Army once we find a rare and powerful dragon." Says Hiccup.

"Right… well Berk has received news of Berserker Island. I trust that Dagur got his message?" asks Johann.

"Dagur is currently being taken care of by the Defenders of The Wing tribe." Says Ryker.

"If we are to find a rare dragon I might know a way." Says Viggo as he pulls out a small device with a dragon's mouth like end. "My tribe calls it the Dragon Eye, it stores knowledge of almost every dragon."

"Ah, very interesting." Says Krogan. "Perhaps with some men and some resources I could try and find something?"

"Krogan is my most trusted man, perhaps it would be beneficial for our conquest." Says Drago.

"Very well, Krogan carry out the mission with Ryker and his troops. Make sure others do not know of your helping. So act separate. Hold Dragon Auctions, and make sure the Rider doesn't find out about this plan." Says Hiccup earning a nod from Ryker and Krogan.

Once they leave, the council then separates and heads their own way, Viggo and Hiccup staying on the Hunter's Cove.

"Master Hiccup, if I may… Alvin has requested to meet with you." Says one of Hiccup's Outcast soldiers.

"Very well. Call him in. Viggo I trust you will deal with the Nightfury?" asks Hiccup.

"Of course… after all without your mind we would have never made an alliance with the most powerful person in the archipelago." Says Viggo as Hiccup heads off to meet Alvin.

"Alvin my friend, how go the Outcast fleet?" asks Hiccup.

"The fleet is nearly ready, the men are readying as we speak… but we have received word of Berk trying to hold a meeting between everyone." Says Alvin. "Shall we attend to make sure your plan works?"

"If you must, I have a spy in place, so make sure he stays quiet." Says Hiccup.

"The spy meaning Mildew?" asks Alvin.

"Yes, make sure he knows the next part of our plan. Tell him to stay quiet when the next attack hits." Says Hiccup. "The next attack will not be far… the Nightfury is halfway complete, with the Hunters claiming and building more outposts to make sure it keeps the enemies away."

The meeting at Berk.

As all the ships turn up to Berk, Alvin meets up with Mildew.

"I trust you have more information?" asks Alvin.

"Of course, Berk will not see the attack coming through their waters, I will make sure of it." Says Mildew.

"Good, make sure of it. Ryder and his Council of Draconia are preparing as we speak." Says Alvin. "I am here to oversee the meeting in His honour."

As the meeting starts, Stoick announces to all that a war may be brewing.

"That is preposterous. Nobody has the power of 50 ships… there is no armada that has that strength." Says one of the chieftains.

"I saw it with my own eyes, 50 ships were flying the flag of a hand engulfed with fire." Says Oswald.

"Well maybe you were seeing things?" says Alvin as everyone looks his way. "Stoick told me, I am with the Murderous Tribe, I have seen every fleet pass by the waters of Berserk, and I have seen no fleet."

"Please, can we move onto the part where Stoick tells everyone that he will be setting sail for the Nest?" yells one the Berkians as everyone looks around and sees Snotlout.

"Stoick? Have you anything to tell us?" asks Thurmond chief of the Murderous Tribe.

"After the death of my son I have decided to take Snotlout Jorgenson as my heir." Says Stoick getting an outrage from everyone else.

"Hey! This will benefit the Archipelago!" yells Mildew as Alvin smiles hoping nobody catches on. "The boy will lead Berk into a new golden age."

After the meeting, all the chieftains except Outcast, Mildew, and Spitelout leave the hall.

"Thank you Mildew… I have no way to thank you for your kind words." Says Spitelout.

"Well would you be interested in a side mission?" asks Alvin. "You see my leaders wish to build an army of dragons. Think you can assist?"

"An army of dragons?! That is outrageous!" yells Spitelout walking away.

"Let me know if you have any other missions for me to undertake will you?" asks Mildew as Alvin boards his ship.

"Will do my friend." Says Alvin as he sets off towards the Hunter's Cove.

Meanwhile on the other side of Berk.

As the meeting on Berk was being held, young Astrid and her friend Heather went into the forest.

"So Heather, you and Fishlegs huh?" asks Astrid making Heather throw her double sided axe at a far tree.

"I don't know what you're talking about…." Says Heather trying to hide a blush.

"Oh come on, we all see it." Says Astrid picking her axe up.

"Yea, ok maybe there is something there… but we just haven't picked up on it yet?" says Heather.

"Maybe… well we better be heading off, the meeting will be finished by now." Says Astrid as they make their way through the forest.

Meanwhile in the Hall of Berk.

As Mildew enters, he sees Stoick and Spitelout talking.

"So Stoick, when are you to announce Snotlout as new chief?" asks Spitelout.

"Ah, don't hurry him Spitelout… the chief will retire when ready." Says Mildew.

Far away from here, the Fleet of Draconia prepares to set off and defend more islands as Outposts.

"So is the fleet ready?" asks Hiccup as he walks out and sees the progress of his large armada of ships.

"As you ordered… Master Hiccup, if I may… perhaps it would be wise to start hiring as we are running low on soldiers?" asks Johann.

"Do what you must. Ryker, I trust you know your smithing skills?" asks Hiccup walking over to Ryker.

"Of course."

"Well, I want you to make a sword, send the ships out to find the materials I need. Once it ready we attack the Wing Maidens." Says Hiccup drawing the attention of Viggo.

"The Wing Maidens?" asks Viggo. "They are a strong tribe… I have battled against them many times."

"Well, you didn't have a Super Weapon." Says Hiccup as a large ship covered in metal emerges from the caves. "Prepare the Nightfury!"

The battle horn blows gathering attention of all the Hunters.

"Today, we stand as one. The Council of Draconia stands strong!" shouts Viggo. "With Drago's fleet, men, and weapons, we will have a new power. Combined with Hiccup's Outcasts, we will outmatch any enemy!"

Earning a loud roar of excitement, the Council then disperses. Hiccup goes to Outcast Island to gather Alvin and his troops, Ryker and Viggo return to their village to hire the people, Drago heads off to gather his fleet. Johann sets off to Trader Isle where he plays the Innocent trader who is minding his own business but really he is searching for hints and information.

Meanwhile on Berk, Stoick and his fleet depart to Helheim's Gate. Once they arrive the fog bank gets blown away and they see the Nest… covered in rubble, and wreckage.

"What happened here?" asks one of the vikings on the ships.

"Not sure, but whatever it was, let's not get involved." Says Spitelout look to Stoick. "What are we going to do now Stoick? The nest is destroyed."

"Return to Berk, I think it is time we start building around the island. Prepare for Berk!" says Stoick as the ships turn back towards Berk.

Meanwhile at the nest, a few dragons remain… but their Queen killed by a giant Ice Spike.

Back on Berk.

As the village prepares for their nightly raids, a shockwave hits the village sending the clouds above away from the island.

"By Thor… what was that?" asks one of the villagers.

"Not sure… it just came and knocked the clouds away… no dragon known can do something like that." Says another looking out into the water.

"Alright quit your yabbering, get back to work." Says Gobber returning the Forge where a young boy sorts out the weapons. "Gustav, what are you doing here?"

"just sorting through the weapons stacking them in their different types." Says Gustav as he picks up a sword and puts it with the swords.

"Very well, keep it going then." Says Gobber walking off to the Hall.

Once inside the hall, he sees the teens hanging around each other. Snotlout and the twins on one table, whilst Astrid and Heather are on another. Fishlegs sitting to himself reading the Book of Dragons.

Meanwhile with Hiccup on Outcast Island.

As Hiccup arrives, he sees the Outcasts preparing to head off. Alvin overwatching the progress with Savage walking over to him.

"Chief, Hiccup has come back… with an awfully large vessel made from iron." Says Savage pointing to a large ship out at sea.

"What the?" asks Alvin. "Prepare to meet him."

All the people of Outcast Island arrange themselves to meet Hiccup and his strange vessel.

"Ah, Alvin I see things are going well?" asks Hiccup exiting from his ship.

"Yes, Councillor Hiccup… to what do we owe this pleasure?" asks Alvin bowing down.

"I have come to prepare and send off the fleet, we will be taking more land as to defend better and make it seem as if we have multiple bases." Says Hiccup. "Outcast Island will need to be deserted in order to do that… although I have a mission for one of your people."

"A mission?" asks Alvin.

"Yes, I need a small convoy of people to go the nest inside Helheim's Gate, we need dragons so tame as many as you can." Orders Hiccup.

"Yes Councillor Hiccup." Says Alvin. "Prepare the ships for Helheim's Gate!"

About 5 years later, Hiccup and his army grew so big that the Outposts they had were no longer enough, so Hiccup thought of having Watch Towers around their main base of operations Dragon's Edge. Viggo and his army still follow Hiccup as they are the people who secure the dragons, Johann still acts as the independent trader, but Drago decided not to follow Hiccup, so Hiccup did the only thing he could. He killed Drago and sent his remains to the Dragon Rider.

But today is a new day, as Hiccup prepares his fleet to sail outside the archipelago, he gets a small convoy of ships coming in the horizon.

"Sir, the ships approach of the Northern Alliance." Says one of the Hunters under Hiccup's command. "Orders?"

"Welcome them onto the island." Says Hiccup as the guard walks away from the Command Window to get the docks ready.

As the commandship arrives, more ships emerge from the fog.

On the docks, Ragnar steps off his ship.

"Ah, Hunter's Cove… what a lovely island." Says Ragnar. Looking around at the sights of the island.

"Ah, Master Ragnar, it is a pleasure to welcome you to Hunter's Cove, our main base of operations." Says Ryker along with Viggo as the welcoming party. "May we give you a tour before your meeting with the Council of Draconia?"

"Of course, your leader must be pretty clever to announce the alliance and keep it hidden from his enemies." Says Ragnar.

"Yes, I suppose his acts were of the interest of us all." Says Viggo. "Now as you can see our base is quite heavily defensible… as we have catapults, harpoon towers, and ships surrounding the island. As well as dragon in the air…."

"Yes, how one person made all this… I will never understand." Says Ragnar.

As the meeting starts, Hiccup and his fellow members each take a seat at the table.

"With this table being filled, our island and alliance grows even stronger!" yells Hiccup as he sits in his throne in the centre of the council, surrounded by Johann, Viggo, Ryker, Savage, and Dagur. "Any notes to pass through the council before we begin?"

Everyone looks around but nothing until the doors swing open and a man comes running through the halls.

"Council, I beg of your attention… ships coming this way. Crest of Rome." Says the man as the council looks around.

"Very well… perhaps it is time to show the Romans of the power we have. Release the army at once!" yells Hiccup earning a loud cheer as the army sets off to stop the Romans.

"What are the Romans doing here?" asks Ragnar.

"They are here to gather evidence of their own adventures… you see a few years back our council made such a high standing, that even Rome knew about us." Says Ryker. "Johann, prepare the fliers."

Johann walks off and gathers his flier army.

Meanwhile on Berk.

For the past 5 years, Berk hadn't changed very much. Stoick was still chief, Heather and Fishlegs started dating, Snotlout demanding his dad marry him to someone off the island, the war with dragons had ended, so for the first year or so, Berk was deciding what to do with them… that is until Astrid Hofferson decided to take matters into her own hands. And now with vikings on the backs of dragons, things became a lot easier to do, Berk's houses were upgraded, the island was settled entirely, the fishing season was the best one as more fish were caught, travelling across the seas were easier, so now Berk had known about the Outcast tribe being obliterated as their island was left is ruins, Berserker Island was also in ruins, with no reports of any threats going around.

So to settle this, Stoick sent out a small convoy of Astrid and her team of fliers to the Southern Markets as he had received word from someone that a threat was brewing on that island and perhaps they could find more there.

At the Southern Markets.

Astrid and her team just arrived, as everyone is no longer at war with dragons, dragons are everywhere. Sure some people still hate it as they get in the way of the basic things, but the dragons are used for catching fish and building as they can build faster and deliver more resources quickly.

As Astrid and her team walk around, Snotlout sees a strange black hooded figure outside the weapons valet.

"Alright split up, good luck." Says Astrid.

"So, what brings you to the Southern Markets?" asks Snotlout as the black hooded figure looks at him.

"That is none of your concern." Says the mysterious hooded figure as he walks off.

"Alright, strange." Says Snotlout as he follows from a distance and sees more mysterious Black robed people.

"So, what can I help you with?" asks one of the store owners.

"Um, do you know anything about those people?" asks Snotlout as he points to the black robes.

"Best not intervene with them… strange people, I hear their island is hoarded by a spirit of an undead dragon." Says the shopkeeper.

"Right ok… well can you tell me where their island is?" asks Snotlout.

On the other side of the island, Dagur and his small force of hunters advance.

"Remember, we need to make sure people do not know about us. Blend into the shadows." Says Dagur as he and his men fall out into the shadows.

"Ah, you look like you could do with something." Says one of the shopkeepers.

"No sorry I… Johann?" says Dagur seeing Johann at his store.

"Well of course, tell the council, the Southern Markets is protected." Says Johann. "Also there are Defenders of the Wing here, they come here every week."

"Defenders of the Wing?" asks Dagur as he heads off into the market sticking to the shadows.

"Excuse me… why are you hiding in the shadows?" asks a black robed figure.

"Oh me? I… am trying to find some hunters." Says Dagur.

"Dagur? Chief of Berserker Island? Looking for hunters on his own?" asks the hooded figure as they take their hood off. "I am Throk, I oversaw your treatment."

"Oh, yea sorry I didn't remember you… it's just been a while you know?" says Dagur. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"The queen sent me here to give information to Berk." says Throk.

"Berk?" asks Dagur. "What does Berk want with the Defenders of the Wing?"

"They are looking for answers to the threat that opposes the entire archipelago." Says Throk as they walk along the main paths.

"The threat? What threat?" asks Dagur.

"The one that burnt a whole Roman fleet, the one that destroyed your island and killed one of the most wanted Warlords in the archipelago." Says Throk.

"Hm, can't say I have heard anything. But after Berserker Island fell, I have been living away as to not give this threat an idea that I survived." Says Dagur.

"Well it was nice catching up… I better get going to deliver this information." Says Throk as he sees the someone from Berk.

As Dagur walks off, Johann pulls him aside.

"So, what did you learn?" asks Johann.

"He has intel, and is giving it to Berk. you might need to sail there again." Says Dagur.

"Yes, of course Councillor Dagur, I will be right there." Says Johann as a man dressed in armour walks into the markets.

"So, any news of the intel?" asks the armoured figure.

"Yes, Council Member Ryder." Says Johann. "Throk of Defenders of the Wing plans to give it to Berk."

"Berk… alright, prepare a convoy of ships." Says Ryder. "Destroy Berk before the riders return."

"Of course." Says Dagur. "Master Ryder… I must say it is a pleasure to see you out and about."

As the army prepares, Astrid and the Berkian Riders arrive at the Southern Tavern. Luckily, Trader Johann interrupts them as they are close to getting the intel.

"Ah Berk, a prosperous year I hope?" asks Johann.

"Yes, thank you Johann for the tips you gave us." Says Astrid.

"So what brings you out here?" asks Johann.

"Well, we were sent to see what else we could bring to the culture of Berk. the dragons are nice and all, but the younger ones cannot ride as we established last we met." Says Astrid.

"Ah, reminds of a time in the Western Markets… before it was destroyed of course." Says Johann walking away.

"So, I hear you are after… Something Special?" asks Throk.

"Yes, we brought the payment." Says Astrid showing Throk a bag of dragon scales. "As promised, we give you scales, you give us the intel."

"Yes, here you go." Says Throk handing Astrid a small book signed by HHIII (Hiccup Haddock The Third).

"Where did you get this book?" asks Heather. "It is signed by Hiccup Haddock, the lost heir of Berk."

"Oh right… I may have found something that points to Hiccup never actually being killed." Says Throk. "I found this book and a few other things in a ship just off Outcast Island."

"Outcast Island? That island was abandoned when we went." Says Fishlegs.

"Yes well, apparently there is more to the story." Says Throk getting up. "Have a good flight back."

As the riders prepare to head to Berk, Ryder's army arrives. Luckily, the Astrid Attack Prevention System was set up in time so Berk knew the attack was coming.

"Stoick, large amount of ships coming this way. The AAPS saw it coming and let us know." Says Thorkell Hofferson, father of Astrid.

"Ready your weapons!" yells Stoick as everyone rushes outside and sees a huge amount of ships, being led by one, one with the hull of a Nightfury, and a whole lot of fliers in coming.

"Uh, Stoick?" says Thorkell. "Are you sure we can hold our island?"

"Yea… even I see that coming… I think it best to use the Underground Tunnels." Says Mildew as few people start running towards the hall with the children.

"Very well… everyone to the Tunnels!" yells Stoick as everyone starts working on the doorway to the tunnels.

As Berk knew of the threat, they had started building tunnels all over the island. The main entry point was inside the hall with smaller doors all around the island behind the Watch towers. To open the main door, Fishlegs had designed it so you needed different keys to open it. The first being Astrid's old axe, the second being Stoick's helmet, and the final piece being Meatlug's lava blast. Luckily, the door was made of Gronkle Iron so it was harder to break through.

As Stoick and the village got inside the tunnel's entrance they could hear the roars and fires burning through the village. Inside the tunnels, was lit up by only the light of torches, and Nadder fire which was also made by Fishlegs as he learnt the fire was so hot, so he made a way to have Nadder Fire come from rock formations.

"Alright head down to the Cabins. Only there will we be able to hold them off. Spitelout you go to the Dock Entry, Thorkell to Thor's Beach entry point. we need to close off all the doors." Says Stoick as everyone starts heading off.

Meanwhile outside, the fliers burn all the houses, the ships send boulders flying to the village knocking down many structures, the men themselves start tearing everything apart and slaying those that they find. As one of them roam the village, they come across Mildew, who is then taken upon the large Nightfury vessel.

"Ah, Councillor Ryder… what a pleasure it is to meet you." Says Mildew bowing before him.

"Speak Mildew. Where is the village of Berk." says Ryder through his mask.

"Underground in the Tunnels, we built them as Stoick had known about your threat." Says Mildew, "Three keys are required for entry… but they have them inside the tunnels."

"What are the three keys?" asks Ryder.

"Astrid's old axe, Stoick's helmet, and Meatlug's fire." Says Mildew.

"Fishlegs… very well. Take him to Vanaheim. He will die with the dragons." Says Ryder. "Prepare the Super Weapon!"

As he yells that last part, all his soldiers leave the village and return to the ships. As everyone is safely from the village, a giant dragon with spikes appears.

"What in the name of Thor?" says Mildew.

"I give you the only thing left of Drago's army." Says Ryder as the dragon spews it's ice all over the village sealing any doors, destroying the village completely.

"The village…." Says Mildew seeing all the destruction in front of him.

"Relax Mildew. Your job is over." Says Ryder as a few men take him and fly him to Vanaheim.

"Sir, the village has been reported as abandoned… what do we do?" asks on the soldiers.

"Fishlegs was smart enough to realise that Berk could not stay in there forever, search the island for any trapdoors or anything." Says Ryder as all the fliers head off in search of trapdoors.

As the fliers search the island, the Bewilderbeast, fires ice at certain sports, covering the island in ice.

"Good thing it is winter… Viggo set sail for the Southern Markets!" orders Ryder heading to his cabin.

"As you wish…." Says Viggo as their armada of ships, dragons and the Bewilderbeast all head off towards the Southern Markets.

Not too far off the ships, Astrid and her ground of fliers approach the island. As they get closer, they see all the destruction. Berk is gone.

"Astrid… look down there." Says Heather seeing Berk's complete destruction.

"Berk… we were too late…." Says Astrid as they set down looking around.

Due to all the ice on the island, it is like a giant maze of Ice pillars.

Meanwhile Underneath the island, Stoick and the village are deep underground.

"Stoick, the doors were frozen shut… they knew what they were doing when they arrived." Says Spitelout.

"Well, keep going into the caves, there is a reason we built the underground caverns." Says Stoick as a few Terrible Terrors come flying past.

"This where you hid ALL the dragons?" asks Spitelout seeing the giant cavern below them filled with dragons.

"Yep, the Whispering Death clan that came by, Astrid tamed them and they built this giant cavern." Says Thorkell.

As everyone looks around, they see a giant spike of ice pierce through the roofing of the cavern.

"Something must be happening up there…." Says one of the villagers as they arrive at a mined out space about the same size of the Great hall.

"Everyone inside… we will hide out here until the Storm passes… as Winter comes around the corner, we have no chance above… we must do what we can to live down here." Says Stoick as everyone cowers down in loss of their village.

"Well, Stoick, at least we weren't in battle… we would have lost everyone." Says Spitelout.

"Yes, Astrid and her riders, best get here quick." Says Stoick as he looks at all his people shivering in the cold, and fearing their return to the surface. "Send a message to our allies… let them know Berk is in need to help."

"Yes Stoick, just rest up for tonight… I am sure we will not be down here forever." Says Spitelout as everyone heads off to sleep.

Meanwhile on the surface Astrid and her fliers head off around the island. Since they know all the entrances, they realise the attackers left one.

"Look, there is the Nightcove Entrance." Says Heather pointing to an entrance hidden inside a small cove with a pond. "I remember this place almost too well…."

As they enter the cove, they slow their pace and get on their knees in front of a small statue that is labelled Hiccup Haddock.

"May he always find peace, knowing he sacrificed his life for ours…." Says Fishlegs as he grabs some dirt and sprinkles it on the Headstone.

Once they do that, they continue on and see the door in the water of the pond. Since Fishlegs is the creator of the Underground system, he gets Stormfly to shoot some Magnesium Fire at the water to activate the door.

"So, who's ready to get wet?" asks Fishlegs as they all jump down into the pond and fall onto a slide which then ends on a rather large platform.

"Alright now just to find the rest of the village." Says Tuffnut seeing the multiple pathways. "Um, you guys do remember which way to go don't you?"

"Yes, we all should as we all helped build the tunnels." Says Heather leading the group.

Meanwhile below, Stoick and everyone of Berk hears a door open.

"Everyone, stay quiet… they might have come back to finish us…." Says Stoick.

"Stoick, only the teens knew of the Cove Entrance… nobody else knew as they were the ones who made that entrance as it was perfectly hidden by the Statue of Hiccup." Says Thorkell. "May Odin welcome him to his home."

Hearing this the whole of Berk bow the heads.

"Odin please let us know… are the teens alright?" asks Stoick as Gothi walks over and shows him.

Whilst the teens led by Heather, follow the pathway into the caverns. The army which came to attack arrives at the Southern Markets scaring everyone and making them all rush inside their ships or to hide in their shops… all except the Defenders of the Wing Soldiers.

Onboard the Nightfury.

"Sir… the island is ready to be sunken. When you are ready." Says one of the soldiers.

"Release the Fliers, attack the village and get me the commanding officer of Defenders of the Wing. We will attack their village next." Orders Hiccup as everyone prepares to fight.

As the ships get closer, Throk sees the army approaching.

"Men, prepare… stand your ground." Says Throk as someone blows the DOTW (Defenders of The Wing) Battlehorn.

As the battle starts, Throk and his men realise they are no match for fliers and foot soldiers. Once the enemy gets close enough Throk lays down his weapon and surrenders.

Meanwhile on board the Nightfury Vessel, Ryder is proud of his work.

"Ryker, ready the ships." Says Ryder. "Send them around the island and make sure nobody interrupts us."

"As you wish Councillor." Says Ryker bowing down.

As Ryder makes his way through the village, his soldiers hold all the civilians off to the side.

"Throk, general of Defenders of The Wing Island." Says Ryder. "Have you anything to offer?"

"Berk came to me… asking for information… I was but a supplier, Queen Mala knows more…." Says Throk.

"Good, take him!" says Ryder as his guards take Throk to the Nightfury Vessel where he sees the council. "You are being accused of holding information about Imperial Rights. Surrender your island and we shall spare you."

"I will never surrender… not to you and your empire!" shouts Throk as Ryker gets his sword out.

"Exclusioner. When you are ready…." Says Viggo as Ryker slices through Throk's neck. "Toss him over board. All ships to Defenders of the Wing Island. We have a visit with the Queen!"

As the ships depart, all the people on the island watch with horror of what just happened.

Meanwhile on Berk, the teens have found the way into the caverns.

"Chief, what happened here?" asks Fishlegs looking around the hall.

"A ship sailed into our waters with the Nightfury hull, attacked us with fliers and foot soldiers… we went underground to hide out the battle, then something large came onto the island and broke a hole, through the ceiling… and froze all the exits and entrances." Says Stoick. "What did the missionary say?"

"He gave us a Notebook, signed by HHIII…." Says Heather, showing Stoick the Notebook. "He said he found it on a ship just pats Outcast Island…."

"Are there any ways out of the Underground?" asks Snotlout.

"Keep going down the main pathway… until you reach the Double Doors… get the village through there, it comes out at the nearby Outpost." Says Stoick.

As the village departs, Stoick calls Snotlout forward.

"You are the chief now… do not disappoint." Says Stoick as he gives Snotlout his helmet. "I hereby invoke SELF-EXILE!"

Far from Berk, the army of Draconia arrive at Defenders of the Wing island.

"Make sure to circle the island. Take down the Eruptodon if you need to." Says Ryder. "Get the council to the Council Chamber."

"As you wish…." Says one of the soldiers as the fliers prepare for their air attack. "Council member Ryker, Viggo, Dagur, and Ragnar… Ryder wishes to speak with you."

"Very well, get the attack started…." Says Viggo as the troops start circling the island.

On the island.

Everyone on Defenders of the Wing Island sees the massive fleet approaching their waters.

"Queen Mala, they are here." Says one of the guards looking out into the sky.

"Prepare the Evacuation Measures." Orders Mala as her village starts running in panic. "Has anyone heard from Throk?"

"No, he has not been seen nor heard of since the mission."

"Alright get clear of the island." "I have an idea to take the fleet down, call in the King!"

Right as the fleet docks, and fliers arrive water starts to make way for a giant colossal beast, Ryder sees this on his ship.

"Well, at least it is a challenge then." Says Ryder as he and hic council emerge from their Meeting Hall. "Release the Bewilderbeast!"

Earning cheers among his men, a giant beast appears from the water below the ships.

On the Island, Mala sees two Bewilderbeasts.

"There are two of them?" asks the people of Defenders of the Wing.

"Everyone to the Eruptodon!"

As the battle at sea is happening. The Nightfury Vessel prepares a blast.

"Fire!" yells Ryder as the ship releases a Mega Blast heading for the opposing Bewilderbeast knocking it dead into the water. "The King is born!"

As they win the battle, Ryder and his fleet of ships relentlessly attack the village. Seeing the village burn with his own eyes, he gets his troops to leave the village and head back to base. Now all the ships, soldiers and power he needs, he calls a meeting with all the Warlords.

"Great Ragnar, Dagur, Ryker, Viggo, Khan and Krogan… it has come to my attention that our fleet has scared off the Romans." Says Ryder as he takes his mask off to show Hiccup with a big scar over his left eye.

"Well yes, anyone in their right mind would fear your great army." Says Khan as he bows.

"No need for any of that Khan, you are of high power just like me. And army is shared." Says Hiccup looking over a map. "I think it is best we sail to Rome and defeat their Emperor taking Rome as our own. Imagine the power we would have."

"I have seen the Roman's first hand… they are not to be underestimated." Says Ragnar. "But we did tear a hole in their navy."

"Indeed, all those people, ships, and weapons… all lost to the sea." Says Khan. "I think it would be best to sail there… gather the fleet shall we?"

"No, we will start by gathering the tradesmen, make sure they enter Rome and do a bit of exploring, hire the Erets… I hear they are looking for a job." Says Hiccup Savage walks into the Meeting Chamber. "Savage, what news do you bring?"

"Master Hiccup, if I may… the soldiers are getting a little restless with no attacks, I think it is best to start exiting the archipelago for space and power." Says Savage as he takes a bow.

"Very well, I suppose we are headed off to Rome then?" asks Hiccup as he gets nods, and thumbs up from the council. "Good, Khan and Ragnar get your fleets ready, Krogan gather more fliers, Viggo and Ryker, take a trip to the Northern Markets, gather more tradespeople. Dagur, I trust you will handle the problem of Berk?"

"Of course sir… with great pleasure." Says Dagur as the council heads off on their missions.

As the Council's ships are prepared, Trader Johann's vessel docks in and he leaves his ship in a hurry.

"Johann, good to see you. What news do you bring?" asks Hiccup as he puts his mask on.

"Councillor Ryder… Berk is defeated… but I watched as the fliers came back. They knew of another entrance." Says Johann. "The other entrance is hidden in a small cove with one statue."

"Have Dagur take care of it… we will be heading to Rome." Says Hiccup as he leaves the docks with the fleet of ships.

"So Johann, I hear you have a Berk problem?" asks Dagur as he spins a dagger in his hands.

"Yes… Berk has become quite a pain wouldn't you agree?" says Johann.

Meanwhile in Rome.

The beautiful city of Rome, capital of the Roman Empire, and is the place where Julius lives. The great city has heard news of a large group of viking terrorists growing in power and being feared by ALL those who oppose. Julius has only dealt with these people once… and he lost the fight, so he dedicated all of Rome's power into science to make a weapon to stop these vikings forever.

"I trust the weapon is ready?" asks Julius as he walks around the War Room seeing the progress of all the projects.

"Of course, just a few more patches and it will be good to go…." Says the lead scientist as Julius leaves and returns to his palace.

"Good, fire at this island." Says Julius pointing to amap of the viking space.

"Very well." Says the scientist as the weapon gets fired… where to? Berk.

Back on Berk.

Berk, the land of the Hooligan Tribe… now a frozen wasteland. The surface may look empty and barren, but below the island is where the fun begins. As Berk attempts to scrap what they have, the Draconian Fleet approaches.

"Chief, the fleet… it is here." Says one of the watchmen.

"Very well… everyone hide out in the Bunkers. We need to resist their attacks." Says Stoick. "No boubt they know we had another entrance so they will mostlike attempt to flood us out."

As he thought it was true, the fliers go ahead first to knock out any defences and make sure nobody comes to save them. Then the ships arrive at the island… all except for Drago's Command Vessel.

"Begin… Berk will fall, flood them out!" shouts Dagur making the men start running all over the island making sure to find any weak points. "Now for the fun part. Send in the Dragons!"

The dragons then start attacking under the command of their alpha. Inside the caverns, the vikings of Berk see that the dragons inside are starting to change as they get meaner and look destructive.

"Uh Stoick? The dragons are coming through the entrance and the dragons here are getting rowdy." Says Thorkell.

"Everyone, to the exits!" Says Stoick as all the dragons from above pour into the below caverns. Including those with riders. Some of the fliers manage to takepeople out of the hole.

"Chief, there is soemthing coming in fast and by the looks of it… it is quite dangerous." Says Spitelout as the Roman Weapon gets deployeed and explodes all over Berk.

Previously on board the Nightfury.

Just as the attack was sent, Dagur could see something coming his way, and going straight into the caverns… luckily they got a few prisoners out so not all the people of Berk were killed.

Just as the Dagur had turned around he heard a giant explosion and saw all of Berk was now in rubble. Including the island.

"Uh, sir… how is that possible?" asks one of the men.

"The Romans, I knew they were building something." Says Dagur. "Head to Rome, we either finish them now, or they will destroy everything."

As the ships turn in panic they see another few of these same things being launched from the horizon coming straight for Berk and the surrounding islands. As they all go off, the ships are pushed straight into one of the fires destroying a ship entirely.
