Today was supply run day and Dean was going with Glenn to the city like normal but for some reason Shane wanted to switch things up and send more than just Glenn and Dean to the city so I offered to go but was quickly turned down and I knew it was because I was a woman but after arguing with Shane about it for about an hour he agreed to let me go. I was getting ready to go to the city. I grabbed the lighter bug out bag that was mine from the storage room it had more room in it for supplies. I kissed Ethan who was now almost 8 months now so we had been here a good 2 full months now.

I grabbed extra ammo putting it in my pockets before adding some to mine and Dean's bag because I knew how many walkers were in that city. I grabbed extra arrows for my bow to because I planned on using it as much as possible so that I wouldn't have to us our guns but we had silencers on our guns to help with the noise. I was putting a picture of the boys together the day Ethan first walked into my bag before getting up and putting on jacket to protect my arms in the city. I joined Dean who waiting on Glenn who was still getting a list of what everyone needed which to me was bullshit but I didn't say anything just held Ethan and played with him until Glenn was done.

"Okay Matt you know the rules no one in the Rv but Sam and Ethan and keep the dogs inside. Don't leave the Rv make your own food today you can eat some Chef Boyardee Beef Raviolis for lunch before eating left over soup that I had for lunch earlier that week for supper if we aren't back yet." I told him

Matt knew how to take care of Ethan alone he had lot of times since all this happened. There was several days that we left him to either Matt or Sam or sometimes to both of them to care for him by themselves so that they knew what to do. Of course we were there if they needed help or asked for it but for the most part they did it themselves. So they both could feed, hold, play, put to bed, and quiet down Ethan. But only Matt could change diapers, dress, and wash him alone Sam was still a little to young for that. But he would have to learn since he would end up more than not taking care of him. This new world would make him some time.

I kissed all the boys one last time before shutting the Rv door and getting in the car that we were taking on the trip this time. We never took our own truck not wanting to lose it or risk it being left behind. I put on some music that was on one of my CD's that I had brought and the first song that came on was 'You Will Find Me' by Alex and Serra. Glenn looked like he never heard of this song before by based on the face he was making but I didn't care. I kept an eye out while we drove looking at the walkers, cars, sign of people, and sign of animals. There were tons of cars that we past on the way to the city but most the walkers were gone and that worried me because that meant we had that many more to kill.

We drove for about ah hour before we reached the edge of the city where we slowed down to almost a crawl as we found a spot to park the car where it was A. Turned so that we could make a quick get away, B. Was some where we could remembered where it was, and C. wasn't easy to spot unless you were looking for it. I got out of the car and grabbed my extra empty bag before passing Glenn and Dean theirs. I got my bow and was ready to fire the arrow that I had in my hand against the side of the bow ready to cock and shoot if I needed to. I followed Glenn while Dean took up the rear as we started down the street to the first big intersection that we would pass through by the end of the day.

We stopped a small clothes store and grabbed some shirts and pants for some people who had lost weight in the group. Glenn knew their sizes or had them written down and told us what size to get in each area of the small store. I was getting women clothes for people like Amy, Lori and Carol and some other older women who needed clothes pretty much everyone but the two younger girls needed clothes or at least a couple shirts and pants wouldn't hurt them and Glenn love to spoil them when he was out getting supplies. The shop also had some baby clothes and I grabbed Ethan a couple more bigger sets of clothes and lots of socks and underwear for the boys they went through that faster than anything.

We hid behind the counter as a small group of about 5 walkers past by the shop drawn by the noise of the door bell ringing when the door opened and closed. The first thing I did in the second store which was the baby store that we were going to get Ethan's toy's from had a bell so I took it off so it wouldn't ring when the door opened. We searched the shop and found 5 workers that had long been dead based on how decomposed they were I pulled my bandana that was tied around my neck up over my nose to help with the smell and Dean did the same. I grabbed a spare bandana out of my bag before tossing to Glenn who was pinching his nose trying to not smell it. He put it on and gave me a nod because it helped some not a lot but some.

I grabbed lots of different color shapes, play set boxes and put them in a cardboard box that I had brought. I had gotten rid off all Ethan's previous toys giving them to another mother in camp who was expecting she was due any day now and she and her parents left to find somewhere to give birth and stay with a crying baby. I recommended an attic that way walkers couldn't break in but you would have to find a house that had enough food to bring up the attic ladder to last you a couple months because once they got in the house they would stay where the noise was and that was the crying baby. The rest of the toys got dropped off at the highway in one of the cars with outfits that were to small for him now for someone else to find.

I of course kept his favorite one or two but with the new toys he would be perfectly fine with out the old ones. I was getting as many different toys that were mostly quiet as I could only getting a couple that singed and had moving lights they would be for inside use only not wanting to attract to many walkers. I filled up the box with a variety of toys that were different colors, textures, shapes, and sizes. There were wooden blocks, train sets, stackable sets, toy shape sorter one had wheels and one was big block. I got a wooden walker to help him walk better, I got some activity books for him, puzzles, wooden animals, blocks, balls to play with that were different textures, a more advance play matt for him and sensory toys. Dean even found a little tackle box toy that we got.

I grabbed as many diapers, wipes, some extra bottles, socks, pacifiers, some rattles, and spare bigger blankets that they had. Now two and half tubs were full and I still hadn't even started to look for winter clothes or shoes yet for him. Thankfully the truck was just in front of the store we had parked it here knowing we would have several boxes to get from here when we came. I found a couple good winter coats in three different sizes I grabbed all three not sure which size Ethan would be when winter came around. I did the same with winter boots, some tennis shoes for him, some long sleeve and long pants that i got lots of in different sizes since it was getting cold. I knew Ethan size now but he was growing like a weed from time to time some times he could wear the same size for months others a couple days before he out grew it.

I filled up another box and half before I called it quits, I also grabbed a next step up carseat for toddlers, and stroller for him when he got bigger. I checked to make sure we were clear before nodding back at the boys and guarded them while they loaded them into the back of the van we had brought. Just as they loaded the first box a group of 7 walkers turned into our alley way. I started to shoot and killed all seven of them before going to grab my arrows and moving back to guard the guys as they loaded their last box in the van. I was about to get in the van after doing one last look around the store when I saw it. A Native American dream catcher blanket that I also grabbed getting a look from Dean as I added with the other 10 blankets that I had got.

"It's Native American besides we can always get rid of them we can't always gain them." I told him as Glenn drove to one area of the city that he hadn't looked for food at yet.

We parked the van in a small parking garage that was surround by several shopping strips that we would search as well for supplies before moving on to find some more last minute things then we would head home. I softly knocked on the glass door and saw a herd of about 25 walkers round the conner and tapped Glenn on the shoulder showing him the group. I stated to shoot them with my bow and Dean helped finish them off. I collect our arrows while Dean and Glenn guarded me. We enter the small grocery store taking it aisle by aisle quietly killing all the walkers inside we probably kill about 20 more inside the store and we doubled checked it while I started to get some food in my bag. I was adding some bags of rice and beans when I heard a couple people that weren't Glenn or Dean a couple rows to my left.

I got up and moved down away from where the two were talking in Spanish with each other about getting grandma apple sauce and Mr. Martin baby food. Here I was turning on the baby aisle as they were and we both froze I reached for my bow as they did for their guns. I shot off a arrow that went past them killing a walker that was crawling out from under one of shelves and was about to bite one of the young boys ankles. I nodded at them but they froze when I looked to my right and saw Dean round conner moving to protect me. I shook my head at him and he nodded before moving to get some more nuts and snacks for the kids. I patted him on the shoulder as he passed by me.

"NO trouble here. Just getting some food like you." I told them as I moved to start loading some squeezable pouches of food into my bag.

"Okay but we need some apple sauces to." The one youngest said taking a step towards where I had killed the walker and passed me my arrow back.

"Find but we split it 50/50 I have three at home that eat it." I told them which got big looks from me but they nodded and agreed.

I also got some more of Ethan's favorite jars of baby food adding it, some baby cereal, Sippy cups getting four or five different kinds adding them plastic bowls, spoons, a couple plates and forks into my bag before moving to get 5 packs of diapers and a couple packs of wipes. I then moved on to get some packs of cloth diapers as many as were in the right and bigger sizes into my bag before stopping and turning back to give the group of five guys one last look before moving to get more canned goods from the next aisle. My extra bag was mostly full now so I finished filling it up with a some fruit cups and pudding cups wanting Ethan to get different textures as well as food flavors. I used the second bag I had to loaded up canned vegetable, fruits, meats, and even some fish, I got soups, beans, flavor packets, seasonings.

The last stop was the school supplies and by now Dean had met up with me and he took my heaver bag giving me his lighter bag so he must have got other important things. I notice some books and clothes sticking out of his personal bag along with some different snacks. I grabbed some baby and young kids books for Ethan before getting some notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, a few folders, and several different coloring books for the boys to use. I even got a couple paint sets along with some different color paper filling up Dean's bag before getting some more little stuff for the boys to use and play with. I found several boxes of more film for my camera that I got every single one they had on the shelf before going to where Glenn was getting the kids some different candy at the front of the store.

We carried the heavy over flowing bags with supplies back to the truck having to take a different route since we ran into a herd of about 300 walkers around one turn. I yanked Glenn back before they saw him and we turned and went over about 5 blocks before looping back to the truck. I was getting in the truck as the heard the walkers behind us turning around the conner of the alley way. I got in and took Dean bag putting it a side before closing the door as Glenn started to drive off. We had more trouble getting out of the city but we managed just as the clock in the car read 3:00 we were pulling out of the city so we should be home around supper time as long we didn't run into any big problems or people.

I notice that there were several smaller bags of foods and crafts that Glenn must have also grabbed for the kids at the school. Glenn wanted to stop at one more store to try and get Lori some school supplies that she asked for since I didn't get her anything and didn't feel bad about it at all. I was focus on getting what my family needed and would need the following winter to get through it. We stopped a Dollar General with a Dollar Tree across the street from it that way if one place didn't have what we needed we just had to go across the street to try again before going home rather we had it or not. Glenn wanted to split up but I told him that we needed to stay together.

I killed three walkers on the way from the car to the door of the Dollar tree. I was hoping that they had what we wanted for two main reasons One I wanted to get home to the boys since we had been gone all day and two I wanted to see the look on her face when I give her the supplies that wasn't top notch supplies like she was used to getting all the time. 'I would have hated to be friends more less married to this woman no wonder her husband isn't here' Andrea commented one time making me laugh. I remembered this because Andrea was asking for some lotion since Lori was hogging it all and this store looked completely empty but I grabbed a couple big boxes and checked anyways.

I have notice the last couple times we have been out the stores were now being raided more often and were turning up empty as fast as we could find them. I was picked up the left over snacks foods, canned goods, and boxed goods that were left on the shelves. I got a good three boxes of different kinds of foods and snacks adding it to my pile in the van that was back up to the door which was Glenn doing. I grabbed some more diapers and pull ups since they had three boxes that would eventually fit Ethan. I found each of the boys a pack of underwear and socks. I got 5 bags of different flavor dog food and some more balls and toys for them. I grabbed all the coloring books, crayons, and markers they had which wasn't much.

I would split this with Lori there were 20 coloring books but some where the same and others were for girls or guy there was only 4 I would fight for since they were animals ones and another was activity books for older kids that I found. There 4 boxes of crayons that I got all of them adding them to my bag and then there was about 10 boxes of washable markers that would be split with Lori I made sure to get a varitey which left Lori with like half of them for her and the other women. I opened the nonworking little drink fridges and got out some individual sodas that me and the boys like Dr. Pepper, Diet Dr. Pepper, Coke, Sprit and some other flavors along with some gum they had left on the shelf.

I also grabbed the two packs of toilet paper they had left putting the diapers and pull ups over it so it wouldn't been seen. If any one looked at the stack of boxes I probably had about 5 with food, 3 with toys for Ethan, and 1 for the dogs so it was a good haul over all. Shane would let us keep them since he had 8 canned goods, 4 toiletries boxes and one school supplies so he would be happy with this haul but with everyone back at camp eating three times a day this would last maybe 2 and a half weeks maybe 3 if we were lucky we just has so may people back at camp almost 30. I loaded the last box in the van before walking through the store one last time and that when I saw it.

Under one of the toy shelves was two dolls one was black and the other was white and I grabbed both of them for the girls back at camp. I also on the regular shelf that i had over looked it as junk but it was three packs of 1 set of clothes and shoes in each one that went with the dolls so I grabbed them too before going and getting in the van and shutting the door. I was cleaning my arrows with some baby wipes on the way home or at least the ones that I used that was. We arrived at camp right around dinner time so we got out and everyone was eating so I went ahead and started to unpack the boxes that were mine and Dean's first taking them over to the Rv.

I had saw the boys eating supper with everyone else so I opened the Rv door and started to take the boxes in the Rv. I did the food first not wanting anyone to see it. I was moving some of the boxes of diapers and pull ups when Lori notice me and started to throw a fit about me taking supplies like always. She got up and came running over to me with Shane and Andrea on her tail as they reached where I was unloading the boxes of Ethan's toys and baby supplies and Andrea rolled her eyes before going back over to the fire to get warm and finish eating her supper. Shane looked un impressed with the baby supplies that I was unloading but he understood that I needed it for Ethan so I gave him a smile and took the boxes over and into the Rv to put up later.

After unloading my boxes and getting them in the Rv I stepped out of the way and let Shane and impatient Lori at the rest of the supplies that was theirs to do with what they wanted. I went to the Rv and started to put my supplies up. I put most of Ethan toys in the toy box that was used as a foot stool on the couch or some where else for everyone to sit. They mostly fit and the rest went into storage for when Ethan got older and they became more age approbate for him. I also put all the food, dog food, diapers, and extra baby supplies away in the storage room before closing it and putting the spare coloring books, crayons, paper, school supplies in with extra booth storage for when the would be needed.

After about an 20 minuets all the supplies was put away and I got a water out of fridge and started to drink it not having much all day I was thirsty. I then went outside with the small box of toys that I got for each of the kids and the school supplies and other little things I found for everyone at camp while I was out I went and stood in front of Daryl and Merle first which got surprised looks from everyone i waited until they looked back at me before I reached into my box and got out a pack of tee shirts for each of them and a new blankets that was in the dollar store they were also camouflaged so it was a perfect fit for them. I think they were surprised to be thought of since no one in their life really did and it was clear by how they acted that as children they didn't receive that affection most children usually do.

"While out I found something small for everyone here some might need them others won't but I wanted to make everyone got something anyways." I told the group before moving on the next person.

"Carol I got you a winter jacket that I found at one of the stores along with Sophia one and a Doll for her." I told her handing her the two jackets that would keep them warm all winter long and Sophia's doll who beamed and took the doll before going to show her mom who also had a smile on her face as the accepted the two winter jackets.

"No I will keep them in the box of winter stuff that we keep Mine, Dean's, Matt's, Sam's, and Ethan's in you can always get them if you decide to leave and Ed I found a pack of cigarets it was the last one in the whole store." I told him tossing him cigarets before moving on the next family.

"Elisa I found another Doll when I found Sophia's so you two girls are going to have to share the 6 outfits for the dolls and I found some hair ties for each of you." I told them showing them and splitting the outfits between them letting them pick which ones they wanted.

"I not sure what your name is but I found a coloring book, crayons, and some hot wheels cars for you." I told Elisa brother who frowned at first but happily took the toys.

"Marinada I found some flashcards to help teach the kids multiplication facts, add and subtract as well I know you talked to Lori about being worried they weren't learning those things. And I also got you an extra blanket since yours tore from all the use it was getting" I told her handing her the flashcards.

"I found you Morales a another pair of boots since yours is over 5 years old and I am giving you a hunting knife to help protect your family use it well." I told him giving him the gifts.

"Lori it's no surprised that I don't like you but I found some school supplies for Carl and you that stupid lotion that I hate the smell of." I told her handing her the lotion and three school activity books that I found.

"Shane I had no idea what to get you so I got you another hat since the one you got is looking kind of sad it also says POLICE on it." I told him handing him his hat.

"I don't know the rest you that well so everyone got some blankets that were at the store and some individual drinks but you have to come pick one out. There is also some extra hats that the store had. Lastly is some toys that were left in the store so have at it." I told stepping back so everyone could get what they wanted out of the box.

"Matt, Sam, and Ethan your items are in the house. Matt you have new underwear and socks along with a couple books that I found. Sam I found you some coloring books, socks, underwear, markers that you wanted. Ethan got all new toys for his development since he is still really young." I told them as the group heard me and moved to look through the box of left overs.

"Glenn and Dean didn't get nothing since I figured they would get themselves something." I told the group as I took my bowl of soup that Carol had made and ate it.

I ate my food as Ethan toddled over to me before reaching up to be picked up so I did. I put him on my hip as I helped Amy and Andrea gather the dishes while Carol and Lori washed them before putting them in the box so we could use them the next day. I then took Ethan and his bag back to the Rv with the boys following me. The dogs had already used the bathroom so I let them in the door before closing it behind me and locking it for the night. It was almost 8:30 now so I gave Ethan an empty sippy cup to play with to get him use to the feel of it. I sat down with the boys and Sam got his book and started to read his chapter to me.

I had to help him out with several of the bigger words but that is what this was for. Them to expand their vocabulary and learn how different words sounded compared to how they looked on paper. Sam finished his first chapter and read me another before going to color in his new coloring book while Matt read to me in his book. I listen and cleaned off mine and Dean's boots and used arrows not wanting them to rust or become unusable. I had to help Matt out to but not as much and he read me three chapters before stopping and working in his sketch book that he liked to draw in from time to time. I put mine and Dean's shoes and weapons up on the wall by the door before wiping down the counter and table top now that I was done cleaning them.

I got my bow and shoes on before going to check the perimeter before going to bed for the night I was tired after a long day in the city. I heard Glenn talking with Dale and Andrea about maybe joining me when I left and I went over to talk to them I smiled at them as I stopped by the door of Dale's Rv before being invited inside. I handed Andrea the lotion and soap she asked for so her sister had a birthday present from her. I even gave her a girt bag that she could use to put them and some color paper to use as tissue paper. She thanked me several times but after a couple minuets her sister came back complaining that there was nothing to do so as I joke I took out a pack of crayons and a coloring but Amy surprised me and took it with a smile on her face.

"Sorry to cut this short but I have three kids to put to bed so will talk in the morning and Glenn get a new hat out of that box of junk for everyone who I didn't single out please your old one stinks." I told him as I tossed him the van keys before leaving and going back to the Rv.

Back at the Rv Dean was trying to get the boys to settle down so I bribed them to getting something out of the sweet cabinet and it worked like it always did. Both boys picked out a packet of cookies and I gave them a glass of milk to go with it or powder milk that was we were fresh out of real milk for almost a month now. We had ben here at the quarry for almost 3 months now and things were getting harder to find and tougher to keep warm at night as winter got closer so we were getting out winter clothing to keep warm around a fire at night some of us were lucky and had the clothes others weren't.

Several families had left to find shelter else ware in a house with a fireplace where heat could be more contained and hoped to find a safe zone some where as well others just leaving to see what it was now like in the new world. Lori was adamant that help was still coming we just had to wait until it got here but everyone else knew a few weeks in that it wasn't coming. I hate to say it but I fear that the whole world is like this so there is no help to send the best thing we could do was form groups and ride this out as best as we could. I had planned on trying to move west towards farm land areas and away from the cities.

If we could get a good farm started we would have food that we could grow on our own but we had to have a way to protect the food and other supplies we got along the way and that is why the Rv was the best way to do this. I knew sooner or later we would have to get a small U-haul trailer to finish keeping supplies in but that would draw attention to vehicles saying 'i have supplies come get me' but the only other idea was having animals pull wagons like the Amish did but we had to find the wagons and animals to do so and that would take animals and more breeding so time as well.

I was brought out of my thinking by Ethan crying so I gave him some cut up apple that I had from the packed snack apples that he ate as the older boys got ready for bed. I wiped Ethan's hands after his snack and got him changed and ready for bed. Dean had turned off everything in the living and kitchen area before coming to bed with the older ones. We got the boys to bed pretty easy like normal. I grabbed the book I had been reading to the boys before bed each night and read them a chapter before stopping and going on to bed with Dean.
