Adrian Shepard has escaped the G-man's prison that was an osprey in the void by going through the portal that the G-man used to leave the osprey. Now he finds himself on Eden Prime, just hours before the attack in the wilderness, 2 km from where the first mission takes place. Rated T, for now. the cover image is a placeholder.

CH:1 Adrian Escapes the void.

Lance corporal Adrian Shepard was tired, bored out of his mind, and unbelievably pissed at the fact that the G-man's employers decreed that he must be put into… where ever the hell here was! He was currently focused on finding a way out of this, this void that his v-22 osprey was flying through. He tried jumping off of it twice, but both times he found himself back on it. This time though, he would try to go through the door the G-man used to come and go every now and then. He looked through the door when the G-man wasn't there, and only saw the cockpit. But when the G-man came to visit, there was a green portal, presumably leading to Earth.

Shepard heard the door open, and when he looked at it there was the portal. He grabbed his trusty HecklerKoch mp5sd2, a .44 colt anaconda w/8in barrel, a Glock 17c, a BrugerTomet mp7 with an under-barrel grenade launcher, an Armbrust rocket launcher, an Ithica 37, m40a1 sniper-rifle, m-249, Displacer cannon, some snarks, frag grenades, flashbangs, laser trip-mines, molotovs, and satchel charges. He was ready to head back to Earth and quickly ran through the portal, flipping the G-man the bird, and shouting, "SAYONARA YOU LITTLE-," he was unable to finish what he was saying before he fully went through the portal. The G-man was startled that the Corporal was now escaping.

"-SHIT!" was what Adrian said when he was on the other side of the portal. He then surveyed his surroundings, he was in the wilderness, and, in the distance, there was a city right in front of him. He looked back and didn't see the portal, and was relieved at that. He now knew that the G-man couldn't re-capture him. He took out his range-finder and looked to see how far away the city was and saw that it was 2 kilometers away. "Well," he said to himself, "Guess I better get walking."
