Pepa didn't want to go to bed. Tonight was the night of her fifth birthday. Today, she and her siblings received magical gifts. Pepa could control the weather, Bruno could see into the future, and Julieta could heal people with her food. There was a big party for the children. However, the party had to end.

Pepa loved her new room. She loved her gift. Yet, when it was time for bed, she protested. She was exhausted, but her new room felt scary in the dark. She wanted to return to the nursery and sleep with Julieta and Bruno. They vanished to their new rooms after saying goodnight to Pepa.

"Goodnight, mi Hermosa gota de Lluvia," Alma whispered lovingly. "I love you."

"I love you too," Pepa squeaked. Alma left the magical room quietly. The silence soon became overwhelming for the young child. Her heart started to pound out of her chest. The cloud forming over her head didn't help matters.

Pepa held her teddy bear close to her. Every shadow scared her. The cloud she created cried out some thunder. Pepa dove under her covers, taking the brown bear with her. The cloud above her head let out some lightning, briefly lighting up the room. Pepa let out a whimper before getting an idea.

She poked her head from up above the covers. Lightning lit up the room again. It didn't seem to cause any damage to the things in her room. Pepa smiled faintly, clutching her teddy close. She managed to ease herself to sleep with the tiny bit of light Pepa's gift provided. Maybe my new room isn't that scary.
