King (Excite): MY CROWN!
He pose it on it's head.
King:Yes! YES! I CAN FEEL MY POWERS RETURNING! You there Nightmare critter! I shall call you Francois and you shall be a minion in my army of darkness.
Ed: You've got to be kidding me!
That crown is clearly not a magic or even a "reel" crown: It's made of papper with the word "burger queen" written on it. His new "Nightmare critter, Francois" is a stuff bunny toy. Plus, King's apparence didn't change at all... How old is King anyway?
Luz (To Eda, disapoint): That crown doesn't give him any powers, does it?
Eda: Uh, no!
She smiles at us but Luz and I look at her, puzzled.
Eda: Oh! Look at us! King and I don't have much in this world. We only have each other. So if that dumb crown is important to him, it's important to me. Beside, us weirdoes have to stick together, you know?
She blinks at us.
Althought I was a bit annoyed with all that "weirdo talk", I actually felt relieve. These people didn't seem dangerous after all. I could totaly understand her statement. Al and I also mostly have each other...
Ed: Ok, this is great and all, but you made a promise: We help you find that crown, now you have to get us home.
Eda(annoye): Hey! I like your stuburness but you should watch it.
With that, she searches her hair and got out a strange looking key (Wait! Does she really keeps stuff in her hair?) She press the part of it that looks like an eye. Out of nowhere, a flooting magic door appear in front of Luz and was defenetly not the portal of truth: it had a big yellow pupil on top. It open and reveel a forest that defenetly could be from my world but wasn't a place I regonize.
Eda: Well, a deal's a deal, go home weirdoes!
If it wasn't for Luz, I would have scream that I wasn't a weirdo.
Ed (To Eda): So this door can get me anywhere I want in my world right? I have to...
Eda: Stop right there kid! No matter how much I tried myself, I can't choose where the portal leads. You can only come and go throught that weird abonded house from the human realm.
Ed: Hey! I'm not a kid. Where does this door lead then?
Luz (Hesistant): Close to my home: Connecticut... a state from the untited state.
Ed: United State? Never heard of it! I'm from Amestris. How far is it from here?
Luz looks at me with pitty eyes.
Ed: What?
Luz: You mention earlier that we might be from 2 different countries...How did you get here Edward?
I frown
Ed: Does it matter if you and I comes from the same world?
Luz: Ed... I don't think we do come from the same world
I froze for a moment, staring at her.
Luz: I never heard of "Amestris"... Your automail, your alchemy, you not knowing about flip phones or the United State...
I stay silent. Was she right? I look at Eda.
Ed: Well... I got here throught "the gate": A mysterious door that keeps a lot of knowledge and only appears to... special kind of alchemist... Does that ring any bells?
Eda (Worried): I'm sorry kid but I never heard of such a gate. It's the first time I even heard the possibility of having more then one human realm... My bussiness would be way greater if I had access to the others.
No, this couldn't be right. This woman couldn't help me?
Ed: No... No... NO!
Luz: Edward?
Ed: YOU'RE LYING ARE YOU? THIS MUST BE! This is a durty one Dante BUT IT WON'T WORK!
Without thinking straight I run towards the portal hopping for some kind of miracles. Once in the forest, I look around to search for a city or something to help me.
Luz: EDWARD! PLEASE!
Edward: NO! STAY AWAY!
I clap my hand and touch the ground hopping to create a wall to stop Luz for getting close to me. Luz saw this and stay still in fear.
But nothing happen.
I try again... Nothing... But really nothing at all: Instead of doing that bumpy effect from earlier, the dirt didn't move at all.
Knowing that it was the only thing I could transmute proprely, I decide to change my automail arm into a sword... But again, nothing happen. That's when I realize... there was no blue light when I transmuted
Why? First, it goes haywire in the demon realm and now...
Luz (Worry): Edward...
Ignoring Luz, I decide to draw a transmutation circle in the dirt. I need to know... But again, it didn't work... My alchemy really wasn't working here...
Edward: This... really isn't my world after all.
I started to laugh... But not a joyfull laugh: A painfull laugh. As I did, the rain stated pouring down heavely but I couldn't care less.
It was now to late, to late to save him, to save Al, my own brother, from Dante...
The laugh start turning into tears.
Ed: Al, I'm sorry. I couldn't keep my promise...
All of the sudden, Luz hug me tied. I stay shock, not knowing if I should push her away or hug her back. We stay silent for a moment.
Luz: Don't say that. You won't know for sure about what happen to your brother until you go back right? There has to be a way for you to come back right.
She looks at me in the eyes... She was right, maybe there was hope Al was still safe somehow. Plus, there were people like Winry who were waiting for me to come back.
I have to come back. I have to keep moving foward. I won't know anything if I don't.
With that in mind, I start an ugly cry. I don't know why Luz convince me to just not give up this easely... I guess she reminded me of Al in a way. He too wouldn't want me to just cry there and do nothing.
It took me a little while before I calm down.
Luz: My world won't be able to help you but if we study eda's portal together, maybe we can created a portal that goes your world. Ah! Maybe one that goes to all worlds. Now that I know that alternate worlds exist, all the possibilities are open. I can become witch like Azura!
She sounded super enthousiastic. She was defenetly more talking to herself then me.
Luz (Determine): Let's go back to her and start this portal!
That sounded like a plan. I nod at her and got up. We run back at the house and travel back to the demon realm. But then...
Luz: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
