Chapter 3:
When she was alone in her quarters, she leans against the door, and slid to the floor, where she was seated now. A long and satisfying sigh escapes her. Today was gonna be interesting now…
Since there were no missions, she found herself sketching, sketching his face. Humming 'Great balls of fire'. And her mind, drifted off into dream land.
"Mommy, look at the picture I drew," A little girl with pigtails ran to her and showed the picture.
"That's wonderful honey." She says, looking at the drawing. It was of what she guessed was her, her five-year-old daughter and… him.
"When is daddy coming home?" the little girl asked.
It was at this moment, when the front door opened and a tall man in a flight suit walks in. The little girl runs to him, "Daddy!".
Bradley, picks the little girl up and pulls her close to him, hugging her. "Daddy missed you, too.".
While Natasha runs to him too, he opens one arm and hugs both his girls. "I love you two, so much.".
A loud knocking on the hatch, makes her jump, she must've fallen asleep while sketching, for when she looked at her watch, it was lunch time.
Getting up to open the hatch, it was him!
Butterflies immediately fill her stomach, her one foot behind the other. "Brad, h-hi.".
"We need to talk.".
"Oh.".
When she invited him in and closed the hatch, he gulped.
"I-I have a confession to make.".
"Well, Rooster, care to share?" she was impatient.
"I-I-I- I love you!".
"Say again?" she heard him the first time, but she wanted to hear it again.
"I love you; I loved you since the day I laid my eyes on you at the academy. I love everything about you, your eyes, your hair, your smile, the way your hips move when you walk, I love everything about you. I know that you have full right to report me, but I just can't help myself!".
She cuts him off with a giggle and a soft kiss on the forehead. "You talk too much.".
"I know.".
"And, for the record, I feel the same way. Probably before you did.".
"When's that?".
"When I on purposely bumped into you the day we met.".
"For real? Wow, I am one dumb human-being.".
"Your not dumb, just oblivious.".
And with that, she kissed him. But the hatch wasn't closed, for her room mate walks in on them. But, without making a sound, she gets out and shuts the hatch.
"What was that?".
"What was what?".
"Never mind.".
