A/N: Two years. TWO WHOLE YEARS since I had touched upon Call of Duty. I have to admit that I did not play the Second Instalment to the Modern Warfare Reboot series, though after watching the ending there was something that bothered my mind like a sharp object piercing my mind. I was being sarcastic there, but anyway what better way to do that with another series that is kind of like that. That, of course, is the Fruits of Grisia. Oh, and this takes place after the events of the 2022 version of Modern Warfare 2 and the third season of the Grisaia anime. Expect some Out of Character moments, okay? So, without wasting anymore time, let's head off with this chapter then?
Disclaimer: I do not own Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019 reboot) series and The Fruits of Grisia. They belong to their rightful and respectful owners. Any OCs that appear belong to me.
Fruits of Modern Warfare Episode One: Seeking Aid from a foreign Agency
Captain John Price was shaking his leg upon receiving some news within a park some days prior.
The Shadow Company Convoy that carried three ballistic missiles was attacked by the Russian Ultranationalist. And to add insult to injury that almost led to a worldwide war, one person had come into his mind. The one who had ordered the attack.
Vladimir Makarov.
That bastard had multiple connections to numerous terrorist organizations and was behind it all.
Terrorism, extortion, money laundering, illegal weapons dealings, and many, many messed up shit that would give numerous terrorist groups a run for their money.
Now his presence is known thanks to his American Handler, Kate Laswell, informing him about it. This, in turn, made him and Task Force 141 want to find any leads on this Makarov from his last known location.
Al Mazrah, the Captial City of the United Republic of Adal.
As much as The Captain wanted to partake, Laswell told him that she had found some leads on the guy they were looking for and told him to meet her at the park that she had told him.
It was cold as the Winter Weather made him feel cold. The layers of clothes he had worn were not enough to prevent him from shivering due to the weather.
"Fuckin' cold here!" The Task Force 141 Leader muttered to himself.
A woman who seemed older than the Captain sat next to him. She wore more conventional attire that could keep a person warm in this weather while holding a big brown envelope. Price turns to his left and knows who it is. "Kate."
"Nice to meet you, John." She greeted him.
"What am I doing here?" The British Captain asked his American Handler before she handed him the object she held.
"Remember what I said about not finding any leads to this Makarov?" She asked him.
"I do." He nodded, remembering the conversation they had in that bar.
"We managed to find some leads on him," Kate revealed as Price opened the envelope to see a file that contained a male Japanese Teenager. Upon seeing the photo, Price can tell that this individual is dangerous. More so than previous enemies he had encountered.
Price read the file and saw the individual's name. "Yuuji Kazami?"
"Also codenamed 'Ace Number 2029'," Laswell added more information to this individual. "Has an appearance of a teenager but a former Black Ops Operative. I looked at his files and saw reports he is a good marksman."
"A good marksman, 'ey?" Price narrowed his eyes and wondered if he would be someone to be part of his Task Force. "And how did you get a hold of this information?"
"You can thank me, Captain John Price." A female voice answered his question to his left. There, he saw a beautiful young woman who was taller than Laswell. Her appearance was typical for a woman many men would gaze on. Curly blue hair, blue eyes, and a figure that has made many either lust or envy. Yet, there seemed to be something distinctive. There appears to be a mole under her left eye, and she wore business attire appropriate for the current weather.
"John, this is Yuria Harudera." The CIA Operative introduces the unfamiliar woman to him. "She is an Officer for Ichigaya, a Counter-Terrorism Organisation within Japan."
Ichigaya Member: Yuria Harudera
"You must be Captain John Price?" Yuria greeted him.
The Task Force 141 Operative looked back at the new lady in response. "I am. Surprise that you know a lot about me."
"General Shepherd gave intel about you, Task Force 141, and the Operations conducted before he went off the grid." She revealed this by listing any information.
The British Captain sighed, seeing how this Yuria basically knew everything thanks to that backstabbing General that caused three Ballistic Missles to be in the enemy's hands. But right now, he has a bigger fish that he needs to catch. "So, Laswell gave me information about this Yuuji kid. What does he have connections to Makarov?"
The Ichigaya Officer knew what to say. "Yuuji had connections to the infamous Heath Oslo."
"The terrorist that gave CIRS a run for its money?" Price inquired as he read an article about it.
She nodded her head in confirmation. "After his death, his illegal weapons dealing was still operational. We manage to link it back to Russia, but as it turns out-"
"The ultranationalists were the ones that made it still operational." The Task Force 141 Operative interrupted, and Yuria was annoyed at his blunt response. "Who did they give their weapons to?"
"A Yakuza Clan who could give Ichigaya a run for its money." She revealed and handed him another file.
Price then took it off her hands and opened it. There, he saw another photo of a middle-aged Japanese man who had a scar on the left side of his lips and was balding. "And this bastard has connections to Makarov?"
"Hideki Kiruzawa. Said to be the most dangerous man in all of Japan." The Ichigaya Officer informed the British Captain of the new file. "He has connections to everyone. Military Officials, Businessmen, and even Politicians."
"I see," John said and gave back the two files to her. "Guess my squad is heading to Japan then under two circumstances?"
Yuria looked at him to give confirmation to his question. "Yes. One is that your group will be under our supervision, so we achieve our goals. Ichigaya will have Hideki, and you can have information about this Makarov."
"That's a deal," Price said as he saw no problem with that unless they were in their way too much. "And what is the second Condition?"
This made Yuria smile as she wanted a certain boy to be part of their team. "Have Yuuji be part of your operations when you reach Japan."
Price, all the while, pondered the thought. Having a kid that had spent most of his life in the military was one thing, but at the same time, he was also a former assassin that once worked for a terrorist group. "That's a deal."
Captain John Price got up from the park's bench and was about to leave when he turned to look at Yuria. "I will contact my group to meet up with this Yuuji kid."
"Of course." She said before she and Laswell saw the Captain leave.
After that discussion, Kate Laswell had a question to ask. "Are you sure you want him to be involved? Last time I heard, he wanted to live a normal life after going through many hardships."
"The world depends on us, Kate," Yuria answered her question. "If this Makarov sturs up more trouble, then what would mean the suffering of many people." With that said, she picks up her phone and begins to text someone she thought of.
-Scene Change-
Within an island far from mainland Japan, a young male adult sat down near an edge of a cliff.
He had black hair and wore a Hawaiian shirt over a white shirt, khaki shorts and sandals. His facial expression was too calm. It was hiding the pain and suffering he experienced throughout his life.
Yuuji Kazumi had never felt this relaxed before. Who knew that a talentless boy would go from that to an assassin to an operative for a Government Agency and finally a student at an academy where five girls would care for him.
Just then, a sound on his cell phone rang. This made him pick up a phone and see that someone familiar had just texted him. Seeing that it must be important, he opened it to see the message.
Yuuji,
Work Needs you back. There is something that we need your help with.
Expect to see me soon with some new visitors, okay.
-JB
Putting his phone down, Yuuji just looked up at the clear skies. He was aware that although he no longer wanted to kill people, he knew this must be important. There was one question that he wanted to be answered. "Just what is it this time, JB?"
A/N: Well, that was a short introduction. Like my recent new chapters, I decided to publish one chapter with the help of Grammarly. That is unless this story is starting to get really popular. This is a short chapter, but stories like this tend to be very short until I understand what to write. Again, I do not know about the 2019 Reboot of Modern Warfare and The Fruits of Grisaia, so don't expect me to get everything right. In lore-wise. For now, I will see you all whenever I publish the next chapter.
