Chapter I

Naruto woke up to the familiar sound of medical machines. He remembered what happened to him before he woke up. It was October tenth and it was both his birthday and the anniversary of the Kyubi Attack on Konoha. Naruto having the kyubi being sealed in him was the victim of brutal attacks on his birthday, usually he was saved by Anbu and taken to the hospital. When Naruto sat up he looked around the room.

"This isn't my usual room." Naruto said aloud.

"No, it's not young Naruto." came the calm voice of a man in a wheelchair. '"My name is Charles Xavier. And you are in my institute's medical bay."

"I take it I'm not in Konoha then?" Naruto asked.

"No you're not. You are in Bayville, New York." Charles replied.

"How did I get here?" Naruto asked.

"You fell out of a rift and landed on my front lawn. You were in dire need of medical treatment and my facility was equipped to deal with your condition." Charles explained.

"Arigato." Naruto said.

"You're welcome, Naruto." Charles replied. "As of right now I don't know how to get you back to your own world but until I can find a way for you to return home you will stay here with me and my students."

"I have nowhere else to go so I guess I'll stay here." Naruto said in agreement.

"Good. Now follow me young shinobi." Charles said with a small smirk.

"How did you know I was a Ninja?" Naruto asked.

"I read your mind while trying to figure out where you came from." Charles confessed.

"Are you related to the Yamanaka Clan?" Naruto asked.

"No, I'm a mutant gifted with the power of telepathy." Charles explained. "As you will learn this world is considerably more different than your own. In this world there are humans and mutants. We try to live alongside humanity and protect them from evil mutants. You're welcome to join my team if you desire or you can simply remain here and learn of this new world until we find a way for you to return home."

"I've always believed in protecting the innocent. If there are evil mutants then I will combat them." Naruto said.

"You may find that my world is different from yours in many ways. I encourage you to get used to the changes and don't rush into things." Charles told Naruto with a smile.

"I'll do my best." Naruto said.

"Good. Now how old are you, Naruto?" Charles asked.

"Fourteen as of the tenth of October." Naruto replied.

"Well then happy birthday. Now I will get you enrolled in the local high school that my students go to. You will be a freshman in their school. You aren't afraid to go back to school, are you Naruto?" Charles asked slightly amused.

"No sir." Naruto said calmly.

"Good. Now get dressed in the clothes I have placed beside your bed." Charles said. "There is a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and some shoes. They will help you blend in while you're here."

"I doubt my old clothes survived the attack anyway." Naruto said with a sigh.

"They didn't but that's not your concern for now just come with me and I will show you to your room and introduce you to some of my students." Charles said.

"Sounds like a plan." Naruto said.

Charles turned in his wheelchair and exited the room leaving Naruto alone in the room. Naruto got out of the bed and quickly dressed into the clothes the professor provided. Naruto was surprised at how well the fit, it was as if the professor knew exactly how Naruto dressed back in Konoha.

Once dressed Naruto walked out of the room and saw Charles waiting for him.

"Are you ready Naruto?" Charles asked.

"Yeah." Naruto said.

"Good." Charles said.

Charles led Naruto into the common area of the mansion before moving to a small elevator and got in and motioned for Naruto to join him. Once Naruto was in the elevator Charles hit a button and the door closed and the elevator took them to the second floor of the mansion.

"This is the living quarters where each student has their own room." Charles said as they got off the elevator.

Naruto filled the professor quietly.

Charles led Naruto to an empty room and stopped. "This will be your room you can decorate however you like it will be your personal space for as long as you are with us." Charles said.

"Thanks Professor." Naruto said.

"Now come with me I have someplace to show you. I think you will really enjoy it." Charles said.

Charles led Naruto to the basement of the mansion to a set of a sealed door with a large X on the twin doors that were shut.

"This is the Danger Room. It's a training room with advanced AI that will test you and program tailor fit training simulators designed for each student." Charles said. "If you want to keep your ninja skills sharp this is where you will train."

"Cool." Naruto said. "And here I thought I would only get training by doing missions."

"This room will prepare you for your missions with the X-Men, should you join them." Charles said with a smile.

"Who are the X-Men anyway?" Naruto asked.

"My students. You will be going to Bayville high with them." Charles explained. "Come on, I'll introduce you to them."

Xavier opened the door of the Danger Room and wheeled in with Naruto behind him. Coming out of the training room were six teenagers around Naruto's age.

"Team this is Uzumaki Naruto, our newest student should he stay with us." Xavier said. "Naruto this is Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Kurt Wagner, and Remy LeBeau."

"Ah hope we hang on to ya." Rogue said in her thick southern accent.

"Professor X said there were bad mutants. Well I don't like bullies so I will probably join your fight against them. Truth be told, I don't know how to get back to my world so I have nowhere to go." Naruto said to Rogue.

"Mon ami the fight between good and evil is a long one but with the addition of mutant powers humans need protectors." Remy explained.

"I'm not a mutant but I do have my ninja training. Also I have an ancient demon sealed in my body." Naruto said.

"Yes, I wanted to talk to you about that. While I discovered your inner demon I found that it was linked to you in more ways than one. Whatever was binding him inside you somehow fused your souls together you will become a fox demon." Xavier explained.

"Say what?" Naruto asked.

"You and the demon sealed inside you became one entity when you came to this world." Xavier clarified for Naruto.

"If that's true I won't be able to return to Konoha they hate me just for having the Kyubi sealed inside me if I went back and they learned me and the Kyubi became one they are sure to hate me even more." Naruto said defeated.

"You're always welcome here Naruto so don't give up hope." Xavier said.

"What kind of changes should I expect to happen?" Naruto asked.

"I don't know Naruto, at the very least you should gain fox-like features such as ears and tails. Considering you had a nine tailed fox sealed in you you may turn into a nine tailed fox yourself." Xavier concluded.

"When should I start to see these changes?" Naruto asked.

"I don't know Naruto." Xavier said to the boy.

"Thanks Professor, I guess I'll just have to get used to being the Kyubi." Naruto said.

"You are not alone, Naruto remember that." Xavier said, looking at Naruto and his students.

"I will Professor, thanks." Naruto said with a smile.
