Commanding Performance

Chapter Three

Since it was late with McGee laying down in his cot. He heard a noise coming from the other side of the jail cells. He had opened his eyes to see two men in uniforms. He had no idea who they were at this moment trying to adjust to the lighting of the cell.

"Stay still Special Agent McGee. We need you to listen to what we have to say and why you're here in the first place." Noah Montero of the local mob of Washington, D.C.

Exhaling with sitting up to adjust further. "Was it you that had shot and killed Senator Johnson?" he alluded with the strange question.

With a shake of his head with a folder in his hand. "It wasn't us Special Agent McGee. Someone in the family is trying to have everyone think that the family was involved with Senator Johnson and making you the guilty party since you were there at the time of the meeting." Noah said handing him the file. "We are going to send this file to NCIS under an assumed name. While your former team leader Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be involved with the case as with Nicholas Torres." he paused briefly with his associate to hand the large file into McGee's hands.

"Why is this happening in the first place?" McGee needed to say with calming his nerves.

Moving in closer to him in the jail cell. "It seems that those inside wants to bring down the family and to have another family wanting to take over the casinos, laundry, and several other businesses in the local area. Hopefully once the file is received at NCIS that Gibbs and Torres is able to catch those inside the family before this particular nightmare gets worst." he cried out with a deep exhale.

"And what is it that I am supposed to be doing sir?" McGee makes mention to the two gentlemen getting ready to leave the cell.

"Nothing right now with your lawyers to be taking care of your case for now until they are able to keep up the farce until those are actually captured." Noah motions with his hand to have his associate and himself to be leaving.

McGee watched them leave as the file was given back to them though he didn't have the chance to look at it, it was extensive at this point. He just needed to be chilling out until he knows for sure of his freedom and that Deliah along with the twins will be fine.

After spending 12 hours of flying and refueling with the transport from Naktok bay to Washington state to Texas and now finally reached Dulles International airport to be landing on runway six for the heliport. Both Gibbs and Torres had to stop with getting something to eat before heading for his apartment to shower, change, and then to NCIS.

Both men were exhausted, however, they had a job that needed to be done with their two gentlemen along with them until they were able to head for another location.

Meanwhile after renting a vehicle for now. Nicholas Torres began to say to Gibbs on the way to his apartment complex. When he had left it, the complex was a mess since he needed to fly to Naktok bay, Alaska to speak with Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

But there was going to be a surprise for the both of them with the return of former Special Agent Eleanor Bishop on another assignment for those working for Odette after rescuing the Marines and children at the village in Bulgaria.

She had been cleaning up Torres's apartment needing to be cleaned if she was going to be staying there for a few days. She didn't know whether the rumors were true that Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be coming back to Washington, D.C. to be working on a special case with Special Agent McGee accused of murder.

She wasn't sure what to think about McGee and to have Torres and Gibbs work on the case to clear him. Bishop was sitting on the kitchen counter table having a sandwich when she heard the lock to the front door opening.

Torres stopped short with his bag as Gibbs will say the following. "Someone is here Nick and I expect a woman's scent that I smell." he paused dropping his duffle bag as well to see the person he was talking about.

"Yeah, it's me, gentlemen. I am here to help out with both of you. Even though I am involved with another group at the moment." she responded by moving over to hug Gibbs deeply. While Torres didn't know what to think since his brain was scrambled from the long flight.

"If I wasn't so tired Bishop, I will ask you about how Odette died in Bulgaria?" Gibbs noted the exhaustion of his 71-year-old body.

"She just simply made a mistake with the wrong moves before she was killed and dropped to the group with three arrows into her head and chest." Bishop makes mention of the information. Gentlemen I have made sandwiches knowing that you might be hungry and tired."

Torres cried out in his response. "You got that right Bishop!" his torrid demeanor had been showing at this particular moment.

"Okay, come into the kitchen and I will take them out of the frig for now. Gibbs are you interested in a bottle of Budweiser as with Torres?"

There was a series of unison responses to Gibbs taking the bottle from the hands of Eleanor Bishop. While Torres decided to get his own right now with a stare coming from Bishop.

"Suit yourself, Nick. Besides, I will need to stay here for a few days while I will explain why. But you will need to be telling me just what the hell happened with McGee and the murder conviction?" she paused for a moment with watching Gibbs's reaction.

"At this point Eleanor, we don't have a clue as to what exactly is going on. All I know is the fact that I have been asked to join in the investigation with Alden Parker and the rest of the team." Gibbs exhales with drinking the last of his Budweiser.
