We're friends. Peyton and I. I didn't plan to reconnect with her. But once i did. It felt more natural then i ever expected.
At a point in time we were each other's whole world.
Warmth. Familiar. Opening the door to let her back into my life.
Took time but once i did. I didn't regret it.
Brooke wouldn't understand. I understood that a long time ago.

I finished with my last customer and and texted Lucas.
Telling him i was on my way home. He replied saying the same.

"I've got to go." Lucas announced.
Peyton smiled. Getting up from where she was seated.
"Until next time Luke." She replied.
She sighed deeply. Feeling him pull her into a hug.
She hugged him back.
Slipping her spare key into his pocket.
"I missed you." Lucas admits before leaving the home.
Peyton wrapped her arms around herself.
These stolen moments with Lucas. Once a week.
Stayed with her longer then she expected.
