Meanwhile in town, Paulus Polidori was at his house working on his latest gadget in the living room.

"Sunshine, this may be my greatest invention yet," said Paulus.

"Just what is it that you made this time, grandpa?" asked Sunshine who rolled her eyes while sitting on the couch reading a book.

"The triple spear gun," said Paulus as he turned around holding a triple barreled shotgun loaded with three steaks.

"With this there's no way a vampire can escape from me," he said.

"I don't know grandpa, that thing looks awfully dangerous," said a concerned Sunshine.

"No need to worry, this weapon is one-hundred percent safe for humans, as long as you don't stand in front of it," said Paulus. However, when he suddenly went to turn around the gun went off, sending two steaks out the windows and the third embedding itself in the front door.

"Whoops, looks like it has a slight hair trigger," he said while examining it.

"That's it!" said Sunshine as she slammed her book down on the coffee table while standing up.

"You and these stupid vampire hunter anticks have already cost me friends, they aren't going to take my life too," she said before running out of the house.

"Wait, it's not safe out there!" said Paulus. When went to go after her but tripped over the rug and fell face first on the floor. At the same time in the forest, Oskar was sitting up in a tree on a large branch while in human form.

"Why do I even try?" asked Oskar while looking up at the stars.

"I'll never be a true vampire as long as I'm afraid of blood so maybe I should just give up," he said before hearing someone crying from below.

"Stupid grandpa, why can't he ever realize what he's doing is crazy?" asked Sunshine who had walked up to the tree Oskar was in to sit down at.

"He's going to get himself or someone else killed," she said while pulling her knees up to her chest and crying with her head placed on them.
