"Mr. Polidori, please wait a moment," said Oskar while holding his hands up again.

"Shut your mouth, blood sucker," said Paulus.

"Are you alright, Sunshine?" he asked while moving in front of her without taking his sights or weapon off the two vampires.

"Grandpa I…," is all Sunshine could manage to say.

"It's alright dear, I'll take care of these two quickly," said Paulus.

"Like to see you try, old man!" said Gothetta who turned into a bat along with Oskar and flew away into the darkness of the forest.

"Get back here you dirty vampires!" said Paulus as he chased after them. This left Sunshine alone, the only sound she could hear was the wind blowing through the trees and some distant shouting.

"I… I can't believe it," said Sunshine.

"Vampires are real, and grandpa was telling the truth?" she asked while the shock of it all started to settle in.

"I don't know what all he told you," said Oskar who flew down across from her with about six feet between them.

"But not all vampires are evil," he said.

"How… how can I trust you?!" asked Sunshine while hurriedly standing and putting even more distance between the two of them.

"For all I know you lied to me all to get my blood," she said.

"Will stopping your grandfather and my friend be a good starting point?" asked Oskar.

"Because at the rate things are going I doubt either of them will come out of this unharmed," he said.

"Okay, but how are we going to do that?" asked Sunshine.

"It'll take a little strategy and waiting for them to drop their guards," said Oskar. The two then heard shots coming from the forest.

"Alright, I'm in," said Sunshine whose fear had turned into determination to save her grandfather.
