Chapter 3: Onward to the Dungeon beyond, First Trial: Sangluopmon the Guardian
A/N: The chapter is too long for fanfiction so i am putting it here as is the shortened title is on the chapter title anyway enjoy this chapter.
"This Adult level digimon is strong how can he be so strong?!" Daisuke thought
"If this is the power of two Adult digimon then you are not worthy for this trial!" Sangluopmon is preparing for the attack
"Daisuke what should we do?!" V-mon asked
"What should we do blue head?!" Devimon shouted
"If we don't pass this this is just the first trial." Daisuke looking up something to use
A Couple of Hours ago….
"So let us talk…" The girl smiled as both of them walk on the side of Dark Ocean
"First off who are you?" Daisuke asked
"My name is Alice…" The girl said calmly
"And right beside me is my partner Demon Lord of Greed, Barbamon." She introduced herself and her digimon beside her an Ultimate level digimon holding a staff
"Demon Lord?!" Daisuke asked
"A band of Dark Digimons chosen we were supposedly to be the enemy of the digital world." Alice explained
"But over the years some circumstances have changed your awakening have come almost too late." Barbamon said calmly
"What do you mean?" Daisuke looked confused
"In the past… My staff can look into someone past and a bit into your future this is also a warning…" Barbanon holds his staff while Daisuke look confuse
"I need your consent do you want to see your past?" Barbamon asked
"Yes… I want to see my past… Just why am I send to this place." Daisuke felt relieved that a digimon can saw through his past
"This will take some of my mental focus so just hold still…" Barbamon said as his staff glowed
Daisuke was sent into the past of his memory one day he was alone at first he isn't the courageous type who wants to play with people but that dayeverything changed as he is transported into an ocean the place is also night but the water is fresh and blue
"Where am I?" The little Daisuke asked as Daisuke is in spirit form looking at the memory
"Chosen child… My time isn't long I have been watching you… You have potential that I haven't seen before but you lack the courage." A white magnamon was looking at him
"Y-yeah…. I am just super embarrassed…. I am scared that they don't want to be my friend." The younger Daisuke look a bit scared
"I can give you the courage young one I only have a little bit of my power left that much tweaking your personality is easy but before we do this I have one request before that." The white magnamon asked
"What is it? I will do anything!" The younger Daisuke asked
"Find my sealed body and one day you must return back to this ocean…" The White Magnamon said
"Return back?" The younger Daisuke asked
"Yes this world is slowly dying I don't want this world to lose it's light that' s why find my body and… return to this world miracle will surely come your way and guide you but heed my word the power that I am going to give you is a double edge sword if you don't want you can back down now." The white magnamon asked to him as Daisuke didn't hesitate
"Okay… I'll find your body I don't know what is that but sure as long as I can make friends…" The younger Daisuke smiled
"Wait why can't I remember that?" Daisuke asked to Barbamon
The White magnamon pat the younger him on his head erasing his memory of the encounter then sent him away
"I just hope that this time I will succeed…" The white magnamon smiled before passing as he becomes data from looking at it Daisuke's tears fall unconsciously
"Just why am I being chosen by that magnamon and why was miracle a double edge sword?" Daisuke thought he had many thoughts in mind as it finishes Alice seems to smile
"In that world of yours there is a cave but to enter you must be partnered with a current Demon Lord heed my word if you want to go back to the human world be the demon lord partner that white magnamon won't come anytime soon." Barbamon gives off his warning
Daisuke then wakes up soaking wet as veemon seems to be relaxing in a nearby tree
"Daisuke you've woken up…" V-mon looked worried
"So you have woken up change your clothes you brought a bag with you don't you?" Daemon handed him the miracle chosen children's bag that include clothes that could last him for a while
"Is this fine?" Daisuke asked as he changed into a more suitable wear as he wears a blue jacket with black t-shirt and blue jeans to match
"I guess he is done." V-mon said as he gets on and then it is skipped on where They are going to Dragomon main ocean with Daemon as a guide and V-mon had turn into Raidramon as Daisuke ride him on
"So how was your sleep?" Dragomon asked
"Your underling take me out unwillingly and the next I knew this guy is with me!" Daisuke look irritated as he pointed at Daemon
"I am not happy either you chosen children sent me here in the first place." Daemon sighed
"Then why did you sent me here?" Daisuke asked
"Oh we aren't after him but for him." Dragomon said as his tentacle pointed out to Raidramon
"Why me?" Raidramon asked
"An oracle comes to us with the premonition that it is almost time to seek out the chosen children in her premonition that we must seek you out as much as I hate to say." Dragomon said as he seems to bowed
"Wait what is the girl's name?" Daisuke asked
"From what I know it's alice…" Daemon informed
"Wait that girl?!" Daisuke shouted in shock
"Did you know something Daisuke?" raidramon asked
"I saw her in my dreams…" Daisuke said only a little bit of truth
"On the other hand Dragomon-san how are you communicating with us?" He asked
"Telepathy I can be intimidating right?" Dragomon without the cloud from dark ocean which makes him recognisable feels less scarier
"Yeah kinda…" Daisuke sighed
"I can't believe I'm scared of him." He thought
"Oh yeah… Dragomon-san can I ask is there an unexplored cave around here?" Daisuke asked
"Yes we send some of my army there but it seems that they can't enter." Dragomon said
"Could you lead the way?" Daisuke asked
"It seems you are itching to go fine…" Dragomon sighed as two or three Scubamon is ordered to take them to the cave
"Thank you… But why did you just agree to my request?" Daisuke asked
"Let's just say I saw something from you that can free this world curse that is what I believe." Dragomon said calmly
"The curse of this world?' Daisuke thought
"I'll follow this time." Daemon said as the trio (Daisuke, V-mon and Daemon) headed to the cave there are old Digital signs
"What are these signs anyway?" Daisuke asked
"Um… let me see…" Daemon said as he reads it with a lot of thought
"What is it?" Daisuke asked
"It is said that can enter are demon lords and it's partner." Daemon explained
"Then what is the problem?" Daisuke asked
"Let's just say I'll be starting over from scratch that will be annoying…" Daemon sighed
"I know we hate each other but I also want to know more why did you hate us anyway…" Daisuke looked confused
"You sent me here dumbhead!" Daemon shouted
"I mean you come out then destroying things like crazy and since we cannot defeat you the second best thing is to send you here…" Daisuke sighed
"Just what is your grudge with us anyway?" He asked
"I'll tell you later when we are inside I also wonder what is it to have a partner… Fine… Hold out your digivice to me." Daemon pondering but then his will was strong and he had made his decision
"Is this the?" Daisuke asked
"A demon lord can make a contract with a human partner we don't follow the rule may it be temporary or permanent it's your choice." Daemon said as Daisuke holds his D3 at Daemon as Daemon is shown to be letting out his digicore integrating it's energy to Daisuke's D3
"In the name of demon lord of wrath I hereby contract myself to the chosen children of miracle Motomiya Daisuke when that contract is broken or the contractor release me can I go free…" Daemon said as Daisuke's D3 changes into something more compact the appearance was like a D-Tector combine with Appmonster digivice ring structure revealing the sign of wrath.
"That's the demon lords digivice the D4. Different Dimension Demon Device." He explained as his form changed back into his child form instantly that looks like a patamon where Daisuke and V-mon wonders
"Why are you a patamon?' V-mon asked
"I am not that thing… Scan it with your digivice." The creature that was once Daemon sighed as he looks like a patamon but with purple color as Daisuke scan him he look at it as it displayed full details
"Tsukaimon, a child level digimon it has a dark fog attack that confuses the enemy's eyesight it also has a tendency to cause a brawl with others different from a patamon it has the complete opposite personality." Daisuke reads it's bio
"I like his description already… Welcome to the club!" He smiled
"Yeah-Yeah…" Tsukaimon sighed
"as it goes to raidramon's back as the trio gets in after forging the contract the cave doors opens itself as they want to go with the scubamon they halted and said that they will guard the cave instead
Inside the cave it's totally dark and they are separated from two paths not knowing which way which they only pick it at random where Daisuke just pick at random and they arrived into a large like arena place where there seems to sit a digimon most of it's legs are sword like feature
"That seems to be Sangluopmon but why would a demon lord pet be here?" Tsukaimon asked
"Ah I was waiting forever for someone to come…" Sangluopmon looking at them full approach
"Okay let's get to the chase." Daisuke sighed
"To get pass me you have to defeat me…" Sangluopmon said calmly
"So this is the trial?" Daisuke asked
"This is merely one of seven trials." Sangluopmon explained
"Seven?! Are you kidding me?!" Daisuke shouted
"There there Daisuke…" V-mon said
"So how will we going to challenge you…" Daisuke asked
"Both of you can come at me!" Sangluopmon shouted
The battle goes on as Tsukaimon by Daisuke's order turns into Devimon and V-mon turns into Fladramon using the digi egg of courge both of them fights well but Sangluopmon is much faster even if Devimon uses it's hell's contract attack on Sangluopmon it made it even worse and the worse part Sangluopmon seems to have the same ability as Eyesmon that it can lepa through shadow making it hard for both Devimon and Sangluopmon to attack as when it gets cornered Sangluopmon will only get to their shadows and escape back to the position at hand
Present Time
"This is getting frustrating…" Devimon sighed
"You can digivolve to Devimon but why are you so weak…" Daisuke sighed as V-mon's timer with Fladramon is up a while back
"Then let's de digivolve first." He said as he looks serious while Devimon dodging and turns back into Tsukaimon
"Are you surrendering?" Sangluopmon barrage them with blade attacks
"No… Now Tsukaimon!" Daisuke shouted
"Purple Fog!"
Tsukaimon puff out smoke that lets them cover themselves
"Now V-mon!"
"V-headbutt!"
V-mon goes in for the hit as Sangluopmon was held back as the smoke clears as he saw an opening within Daisuke's shadows as he comes in
In Daisuke's shadow
"Now to wait for the time…" Sangluopmon is hiding
"Who do you think can use his shadows! Only I can!" Eyesmon eyes surrounds Sangluopmon
"I should be the one asking that question!" Sangluopmon shouted
"No matter…" Eyesmon eyes reveals his ill intention
"Wicked Thought Eye!"
It eyes fires off lasers as Sangluopmon dodges and uses it's blades attack to counteract
"Not bad but this is my field…" Eyesmon smiled evilly as many eyes soon appears watching him and attacking from all sides with Sangluopmon barely able to dodge
"You better go out before you get beaten…" Eyesmon advised him as Sangluopmon got out from the shadows he looks tired out as V-mon and Tsukaimon looked at him wanting to attack him more
"I give! I give!" Sangluopmon shouted
"That was easy…" Daisuke said but he was surprised that Sangluopmon comes out from his shadows
"Since you won you could ask me anything." Sangluopmon said
"What are the seven trials?" V-mon asked
"It's really an entry test for a demon lord getting to Dark Area." Sangluopmon explained
"Do we need to do this?" Tsukaimon asked
"Yes…" Sangluopmon nodded
"Then who made this cave?" Daisuke asked
"My one and only lord of course Daemon-sama.." Sangluopmon said
"Daemon…." Daisuke's face turns from a happy face along with v-mon to becoming a horrendous smile
"I-I can explain…." Tsukaimon said as he explained after getting beat up from the look of the scars
"Yes I made this cave connecting to the dark area but that has been a long time ago. I even forgot that I discover this cave entrance to the dark area." He sighed
"Then eyesmon how come you are on my shadows?' Daisuke look displeased
"Dragpmon-sama wants me to follow you he said that the more digimon the merrier." Eyesmon said
"Huff how come I've become a digimon caretaker…" Daisuke sighed
"I can't believe my master has shrunk to this thing…" Sangluopmon said as he licks Tsukaimon
"Cut it…" Tsukaimon looks irritated
"Now what is the next trial?" Daisuke asked
"Look who is excited." V-mon said calmly
"When there is more trials then there are bounds to be more digimons to encounter and I am kinda excited to see what the dark area holds…" Daisuke said seriously
"I will act as a transportation I am not allowed to fight just think of me as a guide." Sangluopmon said
"Then let's go!" Daisuke shouted as they go off with Tsukaimon being hold by Daisuke and V-mon on the back while eyesmon in the shadows
