Shepard headed up to his cabin, furnished as usual, the bed was in a slightly different position, flush with the wall in the corner, but nothing much changed, even Bryson's experiment was still sitting on his desk, screaming at him annoyingly. He threw himself onto the bed, which was not solid as a rock as expected, instead he sunk into it delightfully, he suddenly felt like he never wanted to leave again. He forced himself out of the soft bed and headed down to the new lounge area.
The lounge was located in the CIC, which sported an in ground couch type sitting area, bookshelves, 10k resolution Holo TV, and, of course, a fully stocked bar. On the bookshelves were Dungeons and Dragons kits, books, figurines, and other paraphernalia. Wrex took a particular interest in the dragonborn barbarian, which he held in his hand and inspected. "You ever play, I make a good DM." Said Zach behind him, who disappeared before he turned around.
Garrus was down in the main battery, staring in awe at the control panel as he typed away. "Shepard, this is amazing, it halves the work I'd usually need to do to make these as efficient as they could be, it's like it has a mind of its own!" "I heard that Vakarian." EDI chimed in with her cold robotic tone. "Does that free you up to have a little more fun, or would you just be pacing in the main battery bored out of your mind?" Shepard asked, arms crossed, a smug grin across his face. "Probably option two." He said in a joking tone.
He headed into Tali's room, she was sprawled on the bed, looking around. The room was filled with different books and posters, mostly romance like Fleet and Flotilla, but surprisingly, Shepard spotted a "Ride The Lightning" Metallica poster on the far wall, tucked away in the corner. "How do you think he knows all the things we like, can he read minds or something?" Tali asked, intrigued. "I haven't even told you I like Metallica." She said, looking at the poster. "He brought me back from the dead, and can seemingly teleport, anything's possible at this point." Shepard said, sitting on the bed next to her. He could hear something subtly emanating from her helmet. "Shouting gun, on they run, through the endless grey. On they fight, for their right, yes, but who's to say?" The song played continuously through, she noticed it was audible when Shepard started nodding his head, and embarrassingly paused the music.
An announcement chimed in through the intercom, EDI stated Zach required all of them in the lounge. "Time for the first mission back, hope y'all haven't gotten rusty."
