Chapter 2: The Next Morning
It was a typical day in Amity Park and everyone was getting ready for another day of school, work or whatever other duties they may have for today.
At the Strong residence, Star had just gotten up, showered, got dress and did her hair. Right now, she's applying her make-up too.
"Almost done..."Star thought as she applied her lipstick.
Once done, she looked at her reflection and smiled, before using a tissue to lessen the amount of lipstick she used, giving it a more natural look.
"Perfect..."She thought, smiling.
She then sprayed a little of her lavender perfume, the one that she knew that Danny likes best, grabbed her books and bag and then went downstairs for breakfast.
Her dad had already gone to work early due to some important meting with some high ranking client and he couldn't be late. So, it's just her and Georgia right now.
"Good morning, Star..."Georgia said as she placed some scrambled eggs and toast before the blonde girl.
"Morning, Georgia..."Star said as she begun to dig in.
"So, got everything you need for school today?..."The housekeeper said.
Star swallowed, took a sip of her orange juice and then nodded.
"Yeah, homework is all done, got my cheer leading uniform in my backpack and and my books are all in order..."The blonde girl said.
"That's good..."Georgia said as she began to wipe the table a bit as they spoke.
After a few minutes, Star finished breakfast, drank the last of her juice, wiped her mouth with a napkin and then got up.
"Breakfast was delicious as always, Georgia..."She said.
"Thank you. Now, you better start heading to school..."The housekeeper said as she pointed to the clock.
"Don't worry, I got time and Danny should be here any second so that w can walk there together..."The blonde girl said.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
No sooner than she said that, there was someone at the door and both women knew who it was.
"Wow, you weren't kidding..."Georgia said playfully as she took the plates to the sink.
Star went to the door and opened it, happy to see her boyfriend was here.
"Hey Starlight..."Danny said, smiling at her.
Star smiled and kissed him on the cheek upon greeting him.
"Hey, Boo..."She said, happy to see him here.
"Hi Georgia..."Danny waved at the housekeeper, who was still doing her chores.
"Hi Danny. I'd love to chat but you two need to get to school and I have dishes to wash..."Georgia said, going back to her chores.
"Uh, right..."Danny said, before turning to his girlfriend.
"Shall we?..."He said as he offered his arm to her.
"Well shall..."Star said as she grabbed him arm and they soon left together.
Georgia saw this and giggled.
"Such a cute couple. Reminds me of me back in the day..."The housekeeper thought nostalgically before going back to her work.
Later
It was a typical day at Casper high with lessons, books, the teachers keeping a close eye on the A-listers, Colette and Paulina being pests and Danny and Star doing their absolute best to ignore them and focus on more important things.
Such as each other.
Anyway, it was free period right now and our favorite couple was doing one of their favorite activities as a couple.
Making out.
They snuck into a nearby janitor's closet and spent the last ten minutes playing tonsil-hockey.
"Times like this make me hate school a little less each time..."Danny thought in bliss as he and Star began to french.
"Oh, Danny~..."Star thought blissfully as they continued to kiss.
After about a minute, they came up for air and both panted, with matching blushes on their faces. It didn't stop as they kept up their flirtations with each other.
"You liked that, didn't you?..."Danny whispered in a playful tone.
"Yeah..."Star giggled, liking how feisty he is being lately.
"Good. Cause, I'm not stopping unless you tell me too..."He said playful before kissing her again.
He then went on to kiss her cheek and neck a bit, making her giggle uncontrollably.
"Oh, Danny...that tickles!..."Star said, letting out involuntary giggles.
"Should I stop?..."Danny asked as he briefly paused.
"No way! I like this too much..."She said, grinning a lot right now.
Danny smiled and went back to what he was doing, only for someone to try and open the door, which was thankfully locked.
"Romeo and Juliet?! Why is this door locked? Who's in there?! Open this door at once!..."An angry sounding voice was heard and they recognized that voice.
"Oh, crud, it's Lancer!..."Star said.
"No worries, I got this..."Danny said as he quickly turned them invisible.
The fat, balding teacher had heard muffled sounds, got suspicious and used a copy of his keys to open the door.
"Alright, you hormonal, star-crossed juveniles! It's detention for-..."He was silenced when he saw that the janitor's closet was empty.
He looked around, even in some trash cans and saw that no one was hear. All the while, the janitor walked in as well, looking annoyed.
"Looking for something?..."He asked, sounding annoyed.
"No...I...I thought I heard someone in here..."Mr. Lancer said, looking confused.
"Well, no one is here. So it was either a ghost or maybe the rats made that noise..."The janitor said and Lancer cringed.
"Rats?!..."Mr. Lancer said, looking horrified.
"I got traps set up all over. So, unless you wanna call and pay for an exterminator, don't tell me how to do my job..."The janitor said, looking apathetic.
Mr. Lancer soon left and the janitor also left once he got his broom and dust pan. Once they were gone, Danny turned him and Star visible again.
"That was close..."Star said.
"One good thing about ghost powers...it makes it easier to sneak in some make-out time at school..."Danny said. "So, ready for round two?..."He asked.
However, Star didn't look so enthusiastic anymore.
"Not here, Boo. I love you...but I rather do this where they AREN'T any rats around..."She said, since she heard what the janitor said.
Danny thought about it and realized that she might have a point.
"Fair enough..."He said as he took her by the hand, became invisible and quickly phased them out of there.
A little later
Danny soon brought Star to behind the bleachers and they went back to making out. After about another ten minutes, they decided to take a break and get a drink for one of the school's vending machines that was near here.
"Anything you want, Starlight?..."Danny asked.
"Just a diet cola..."Star said as she sat down underneath a tree.
"Okay, 2 diet colas it is..."Danny said as he purchased them.
He returned and soon gave one can of soda to his girlfriend. He took the other and both began to drink it. They wanted to enjoy this private time together since Dash was being scolded by Lancer for failing his latest history test, Paulina was re-applying her makeup for the third tome today and Colette was on a wild goose chase since Star "accidentally" let it spread that they would be on the roof during free period, which was a lie.
"She's so gullible..."Star thought in amusement as she continued to enjoy her soda and holding hands with her boyfriend.
"This is nice..."Star said after taking a couple of sips of her drink.
"I know something that is a lot nicer..."Danny said in a hinting way.
"You really are feisty today, aren't you?..."Star said in a teasing manner.
"Maybe, but who wouldn't be with a girlfriend like you?..."Danny pointed out.
"True..."Star giggled as she wrapped her arms around him.
However, their make-out time was cut short when the warning bell was heard.
"Darn it. Couldn't it wait a little bit..."Danny complained.
"I guess we have to wait until later to continue, Danny-Boo..."Star said as they both got up.
They went back to the school building and managed to get to Lancer's English class on time. During that time, Colette sent Star an even dirtier look than usual, since she apparently figured out that she had been tricked earlier.
"Witch!..."Star thought, returning that dirty look before focusing on class and her man.
Soon, enough, Lancer passed back everyone's grades from the test they took last Friday.
"Here are last weeks English tests, all graded. And the only thing I can say...is that I sometimes feel that some of you aren't even TRYING to put in any effort but I won't say any names..."The bitter teacher said as he handed Dash his paper.
"Another D minus?! Come on!..."Dash complained loudly.
"Maybe if you spent more time studying than trying to find new ways to get detention, you're grades might improve!..."Mr. Lancer said to the quarterback, who had quickly become his least favorite student since the school "changed it's policy".
"What an idiot..."Star said to Danny.
"You got that right..."Danny said as Lancer kept passing the tests around.
Paulina ended up getting a C, which she didn't care about in the slightest before going back to filing her nails. Tucker got a B plus and Sam got an A but neither of them made a show about it. However, Colette got an A minus and sent a competitive look to her step sister, as she decided to gloat.
"Ah, it seems zhat my American English has improved greatly. Much more than yours, wouldn't you say Estelle?..."The spoiled brat said as she showed off her test, wanting to brag and look good to Danny.
"I wouldn't be too sure, Colette..."Star said smugly as she showed off the A plus that she got.
"A plus?! Monsieur Lancer? Why did Estelle get a higher grade than me?!..."Colette demanded, looking dismayed.
"Miss Bevier, you did very well on the test. However, it was the last two questions of the test that you missed..."Mr. Lancer said as he pointed to them.
Colette's face turned red and grumbled under her breath in anger. Star saw this and rolled her eyes.
"What a drama queen..."She muttered, before turning to her boyfriend.
"So, how did you do, Boo?..."Star asked and saw a somewhat disappointed look on his face.
"Not too great..."Danny said as he showed her that he got a C minus.
Star saw this and while it wasn't a failing grade, she knew that he seemed bummed about it.
"Oh, don't be too hard on yourself, Danny. You did pretty well, considering that Skulker and Technus both decided to pay a visit the night before the test..."She said in a whisper-like voice, trying to cheer him up.
"Tell that to my parents. They said that if I got anything lower than a B again, they won't let go to the Space convention being held at the observatory this year..."Danny said, looking down.
"Really?..."Star asked and he nodded.
"Yeah, and it's a big deal. Lots of rocket scientists and even some real life astronauts are coming to talk about their experiences in space and show off all sorts of cool stuff that NASA plans on doing in the future. I can't miss that..."Danny said, looking upset.
"I knew that he was a space fanboy, but he really seems to be taking this hard..."Star thought, wishing that she could do something to make this right.
However, before she could think of anything, Mr. Lancer decided to talk again after handing back all the tests.
"Students, I would like to make an announcement..."The fat, balding educator said.
"You're finally quitting teaching, skipping the country and getting a hair transplant to start a less boring identity..."Joey, being a smart-mouth, said sarcastically.
This earned some laughs from some of the students, and annoyed look from the teacher.
"No, and I'll be sure to let your parents know what a comedian you are during the next parent-teacher conference Mr. Johnson..."Mr. Lancer said, frowning at one of the class clowns.
"As I was saying, given that many of you did rather poorly on the test...and again, I won't mention any names..."Mr. Lancer said, though his eyes glanced at Dash, Kwan and the rest of the jocks who weren't even bothering to pay attention.
"I do have rather good news. Principal Ishiyama has accepted my request and I shall be directing this seasons school play!..."The teacher announced, showing a rare moment of excitement.
"School play?..."Danny, Star and the others all thought, unsure how to take this.
