The walk to the Japanese restaurant took them a little over twenty minutes, but once they arrived they were all a little taken aback by the building.
"Oh my gosh, it looks so fancy!~" Chica exclaimed as she bounced in excitement.
Roxy turned to Eliza and asked, "You sure we don't need to make a reservation or something?"
"I, um… I don't think so," Eliza replied, though it was obvious that she had no idea.
Chica looked at them both with a huge smile on her face. "Come on!~ Let's go in and check it out!~" Caught up in her enthusiasm, the chicken girl was just about to dash towards the entrance when Roxanne grabbed ahold of her arm. Chica turned to the wolfess with a confused look on her face. "Wha— Huh?!"
"Chi Chi, remember what happened last time you rushed into a building?" Roxy asked with a furrowed brow.
The chicken girl's confusion gave way to realization as she recalled how that grocery store manager had reacted to them a few hours ago. "Oh!"
"Yeah, 'oh'," Roxanne repeated as she lashed her tail. "This time, let's just walk inside together."
"R-right, of course!~" Chica agreed as she chuckled in embarrassment. Eliza couldn't help but let out a snort upon seeing how abashed the chicken girl looked.
As the three entered the restaurant, the animatronics were met with stares from the few people who were in the lobby. The receptionist in particular looked extremely concerned. The attention made Roxy pin her ears back.
Chica, meanwhile, took in the sight of the lobby with her eyes full of wonder. "Oh my gosh, this place is so pretty!~" The chicken girl proceeded to take a deep sniff. "Haaahhh!~ The food here smells so good!~"
The receptionist waved them over to the front desk, and once they approached, she asked, "Uh… What exactly is this?"
"We're here to eat!~" Chica exclaimed as she bounced up and down in excitement.
The receptionist eyed the chicken girl and then turned to Eliza. "Is this some kind of advertising thing? Because you're not allowed to do that here."
Roxanne put her hand on her hip. "No, we're literally just here to eat."
The receptionist just stared confusedly at the wolfess.
Eliza swallowed and mustered up the courage to speak on behalf of her girlfriends. "So, um… I know this will probably be hard to believe, but… uh… these robots are fully sentient, and… and this is their first night out. They, um… just want to dine out at a nice restaurant."
The receptionist gave her a look of confusion and utter disbelief. "... Right." She eyed the Glamrock girls and then said, "Look… I need to talk about this with my boss. Just… wait here." With that, she walked off and went through a door behind the desk.
Roxy frowned and looked at Chica and Eliza. "Come on, let's just get out of here."
"Huh? Why?" Chica asked, looking quite distraught.
The wolfess let out a frustrated sigh. "Because they're just going to ask us to leave," she replied. She then folded her arms and looked away. "Most of the people out here have made it perfectly clear that they don't want us around…"
Chica wrapped her arms around Roxanne and gently nuzzled her cheek. "Hey, you don't know that.~" She whispered softly as she stroked the wolfess' hair. "I'm sure it'll be fine.~"
Eliza began to stroke Roxy's hair as well. "Look, I… I'm well aware of how awful humans can be," Eliza said, giving the wolfess a look of sympathy. "But… just because some of them are awful doesn't mean that you should give up when they react like this."
At that moment, the receptionist returned with an older woman walking alongside her. The receptionist just looked at Eliza and the animatronics with a worried expression.
The older woman, presumably the owner of the restaurant, looked the three over. She then turned to Eliza and asked, "Hi! Do you work for Fazbear Entertainment?"
"Uh, yeah," Eliza replied.
"Okay, would you care to explain what this is all about?" The owner asked as she eyed the Glamrock girls.
Roxy rolled her eyes in annoyance. "For crying out loud, we just want to spend the evening at a nice restaurant and eat some good food! Why is that so hard to believe?!"
Both the receptionist and the owner were taken aback by the wolfess' sudden outburst. The older woman paused to think, and then said, "Look, I'm sorry, but this raises a lot of concerns. I'm going to have to contact your company and ask them about this."
Roxanne gestured to Eliza with her thumb and said, "Liz here has the number to our CEO, so you can call him directly if you want."
The owner nodded. "Yes, that would be very useful."
"R-right," Eliza replied as she took out her phone. She then went into her contacts and pulled up Vanoff's number, before showing the screen to the owner. "Um, here."
The owner grabbed a notepad and a pen from the front desk, and then quickly jotted down the phone number. She then looked at Eliza and asked, "What's your name?"
"E-Eliza Andersen," Eliza replied as she put her phone back in her pocket.
The owner jotted that down as well and then tore off the note from the notepad. "I'm going to go call him." She made an attempt at a smile and continued. "In the meantime, feel free to stay here in the lobby or in the bar. If everything checks out, we should be able to give you a spot at one of the hibachi tables." Her face grew slightly more serious. "However, we ask you not to advertise your own restaurant or cause a scene while you're here."
"We won't, we promise!~" Chica replied.
The owner nodded. "Good. In that case, I hope you enjoy your time here with us," she said with a slight smile. "I'll come find you after I've talked with your CEO." With that, she walked off.
The receptionist, now by herself, gave the three a sheepish smile. "Sorry about all of this. It's just… a very bizarre situation, you know?"
Roxy fixed her with a flat look. "Whatever, just point us to the bar."
"Oh, it's right over there," the receptionist replied as she pointed behind them, just off to the side. The three turned around to see the bar entrance on the other side of the lobby.
Chica turned back and smiled at the receptionist. "Okay, thanks for the help!~"
They began to walk, but then the receptionist spoke up again. "A-actually, I should probably come with you so that our bartender knows what's going on." She jogged up to the three and then slowed down until she was walking alongside them.
As expected, once they entered the bar, the Glamrock girls were met with confused and curious stares from the bartender as well as the guests, many of whom were taking out their phones and pointing them at the animatronics.
The bartender pointed at Roxy and Chica and said, "Uh… aren't those the animatronics from Freddy's?"
The receptionist nodded. "Yeah, they're here to… er…" She briefly glanced at the Glamrock girls. "... eat and drink."
"Are you serious?" The bartender replied with a baffled expression on his face.
Roxanne rolled her eyes.
Chica giggled as she excitedly bounced up and down. "Yeah!~ We got the day off, so we decided to go out and try a bunch of different things!~"
"... Okay?" The bartender replied, looking very unsure about all of this. Rubbing the back of his head, he asked, "Am I allowed to serve them anything? I don't want to get sued or something if they get damaged."
Fidgeting, Eliza swallowed and then spoke up. "Um, I-I-I work directly for the CEO of the comp— Fazbear Entertainment, s-so I'll take, you know, full responsibility for everything."
"Oh, okay then," the bartender replied, looking somewhat relieved. "So what is this, some kind of field test?"
Chica seemed a bit hurt by that question. Roxy, meanwhile, rubbed the bridge of her snout and replied, "Yeah, sure. Whatever. Can we please just order something now?"
"Of course," the bartender replied with a hesitant, yet courteous smile. "What would you like?"
The receptionist turned to Eliza and said, "I'm going back to my desk. Let me know if you need anything, okay?" With that she walked off.
As the three walked up to the counter, Roxanne looked to Eliza and asked, "Got any recommendations?"
"Well, um…" Eliza trailed off as she grabbed a drink list and looked through it. Eventually, she replied, "Strawberry daiquiri is pretty good."
With a grin, Roxy looked to the bartender and held up three fingers. "Three strawberry daiquiris, please!"
The bartender nodded. "That'll be 45 dollars."
"Alright," Roxanne replied and proceeded to casually pull out her debit card out of her bra, earning her stares from both Eliza and the bartender. "What? This outfit doesn't have any pockets. Where else am I supposed to keep it?"
"R-right," the bartender replied with a blush as he took her card, swiped it, and then gave it back to her. Clearing his throat, he exclaimed, "Three strawberry daiquiris coming up!" He then went to mix the cocktails.
"Ooh!~ Strawberry daiquiri!~ That sounds so fancy!~" Chica chirped. "What is it?~"
Before Eliza could respond, the bartender spoke up as he made their drinks. "It's white rum mixed with lime juice, sugar syrup, some strawberries, a dash of grenadine, and plenty of ice," he explained as he put all of the ingredients in a blender, mixed them together, and then poured the resulting cocktail into a hurricane glass. He swiftly and expertly repeated this two more times, he then topped each glass with a strawberry and added drinking straws, before placing the cocktails on the counter in front of the girls with a smile. "And presto!"
Chica eagerly took her glass and examined it. "Oh my gosh, it's so pretty!~" She then took a sip of her cocktail and murmured in delight. "Mmmh!~ It tastes like candy!~"
Roxy tried her cocktail next, and as she did her eyes went wide. "Woah, no kidding! This is really good!" She gave Eliza a sly grin. "I can definitely get used to drinking stuff like this."
"Glad to be of service," the bartender said with a nod. He then turned to Eliza and, with an unsure expression on his face, asked, "Was that good? Or do I need to do anything else?"
Eliza just stared confusedly at him, uncertain as to what he meant.
"Yes, you did good. We've collected lots of valuable data from this, so you can go now," Roxanne replied in Eliza's stead and waved the bartender off.
"Alright then. If you need me again, just let me know," The bartender said to Eliza with a smile, before he went over to the other side of the counter to serve another patron.
Finally catching on that the bartender actually thought this was some kind of field test, Eliza gave Roxy and Chica a look of sympathy. "Fuck, I'm so sorry about that."
"So am I," Roxy replied as she took another sip from her cocktail.
"I guess it's just something we have to get used to," Chica added with an attempt at a smile.
With a sigh, Roxanne looked around and then tilted her head towards a couple of empty seats on the other side of the room. "Come on, let's go sit over there."
After doing so, Eliza and the Glamrock girls spent the next twenty minutes chatting and enjoying their cocktails. Thankfully, it didn't take long before their mood improved. And unsurprisingly, Chica finished her drink first and went to get another one, this time a mojito. They were only occasionally interrupted when people came up to take pictures of them.
Eventually, the restaurant owner entered the bar and went over to them. Smiling and clasping her hands together, she said, "Sorry for keeping you waiting. If you'll come with me, I'll take you to one of the hibachi tables."
"Oh, okay," Roxanne replied and perked up, before getting out of her seat.
Chica let out a squee. "This is so exciting!~" She and Eliza then got up as well. As the owner led the three out of the bar, the chicken girl asked, "So did you talk to Mister Vanoff?"
The owner glanced back at her with a courteous smile. "I did. Everything checks out, so there's nothing to worry about."
Roxy rolled her eyes. "Great."
As they approached the main area of the restaurant, Chica sniffed the air. "Ooooh!~ It smells so good!~ I can't wait to try all of your food!~"
The owner glanced back at Chica again, this time with a more genuine smile.
Once they finally entered the main area, Chica let out a gasp as she looked around with her eyes full of wonder at the hibachi grills, the chefs, all of the various food, and all of the decorations. "This place is incredible!~"
Eliza looked at Roxanne and noticed that she was smiling too.
As expected, once the guests caught sight of the animatronics, many of them excitedly took out their phones to photograph and record them.
The owner led the three to a hibachi table that was mostly empty. As they approached, the chef who attended it smiled at them and said, "Wow, can't say I've ever had any guests like you before!"
"That's not exactly surprising," Roxy replied with a smirk.
"This is our first night out ever!~" Chica exclaimed as she bounced up and down.
"Well, in that case, I better make it extra memorable for you!" The chef replied and gestured to the chairs in front of the table. "Come on, sit down and let me know what you'd like."
"While you're at it, why not let me know what you'd like to drink?" The owner asked as the three took their seats.
"Um… I guess I'll have a coke," Eliza replied a bit hesitantly.
"I'll have a beer," Roxanne said confidently.
"Ooh!~ A beer?~" Chica cooed at the wolfess. She then turned to the owner and said, "I'll have one too!~"
"What kind of beer do you want?" The owner asked.
Roxy and Chica looked at each other, and then the wolfess replied, "Whichever is the most popular."
The owner smiled in amusement. "Alright, I'll have one of the waitresses bring them out to you shortly." And with that, she left.
The chef grabbed three menus and handed them to Eliza, Roxy, and Chica. "Here, have a look, and then let me know what you'd like me to cook up for you."
"Can't we just order everything?~ It all looks so good!~" Chica asked with a sheepish grin.
The chef laughed. "I think that would be just a little too much food for you three."
"Oh, believe me, it wouldn't," Roxy said back with a chuckle. Pointing her thumb at Chica, she added, "This girl is practically bottomless."
The chef raised his brow in surprise, but he quickly recomposed himself and gave them an apologetic smile. "Even so, that's a lot of food to make, especially since we'll only be open for another hour." As he saw Chica lose some of her enthusiasm, he added, "But tell you what, I can make you three a total of ten dishes. And you can order sushi on top of that, since we have a separate kitchen set aside for it. Just let the waitress know what you want when she comes with your drinks."
Chica immediately lit up and let out a giggle as she turned to Roxy and Eliza. "So what do you girls want to eat?~ Maybe we can all order different food?~ That way we can try as many things as possible!~"
"Sure, I'm up for that," Roxanne replied with a grin.
"Um, yeah, me too," Eliza agreed.
Roxanne elbowed the chicken girl and added, "Anything for my gluttonous girlfriend."
"Oh, you're girlfriends?" The chef asked, his curiosity seemingly piqued.
Roxy gave him a wide grin as she put her arms around Chica and Eliza, and then pulled them closer to her. "We're all girlfriends!"
Eliza looked up at the wolfess and smiled fondly at her. But then her anxiety set in and she looked around at all of the human guests who were still pointing their phones at her and the Glamrock girls. She was then taken off guard when she felt Roxanne's lips press against her cheek, and she couldn't help but to blush and let out a giggle in response. Eliza then glanced back at the phones pointed at them. As much as she loved being together with Roxy and Chica, the attention that she was now getting because of it worried her.
Her attention was then drawn back to the chef when she heard him saying, "Damn, you're a really lucky girl!"
"Um, I-I guess?" Eliza replied bashfully.
The three looked over the menu and then proceeded to order ten dishes consisting of chicken, salmon, shrimp, scallops, filet mignon, lobster, steak, as well as fried rice and noodles.
The chef smiled at them as he grabbed a bottle of oil and poured it in the shape of a smiley face on the hibachi grill.
"Ooh!~" Chica leaned forward a bit to get a closer look.
"Watch out, I'm about to set it on fire," the chef warned as he grabbed a bottle of alcohol and a lighter. Eliza, Roxy, and Chica all leaned back, and the chef then poured the alcohol on the smiley face and set it alight. The top of the hibachi grill was instantly set ablaze.
"Whoa!~" Chica exclaimed as she watched the spectacle completely spellbound. Even Roxy looked excited as she watched the flames.
Before long, however, the fire died out, prompting the chef to wipe the grill with a towel. Next, he brought out a spatula and a carving fork and began to spin them around and do tricks with them. Both of the Glamrock girls looked on in amazement, Chica most of all. The chef, meanwhile, had the biggest grin on his face. As much as he was entertaining the animatronics, he was in turn entertained by their reactions. Upon finishing his act, Roxy and Chica both applauded him, with Eliza joining in as well. The chef gave them a bow and then began to cook their food.
Not long thereafter, a waitress arrived with their beverages. However she looked somewhat uncomfortable as she approached the Glamrock girls. "Okay, here are your drinks. Err… who ordered the coke?"
Eliza held up her hand and smiled politely at the waitress, who proceeded to hand out everyone's drinks.
"Ooh!~" Chica cooed as she looked at her glass of beer. Roxy, meanwhile, took a sip from her own glass and then smiled to herself. Turning back to the waitress, Chica asked, "Could we also order some sushi?~"
"Uh, s-sure?" The waitress replied as she pulled out a pen and a notepad. "What would you like?"
"Could we have three pieces of each kind of sushi that's on the menu?~" Chica asked before sampling her beer. However, upon tasting it she instantly gagged.
The chicken girl's reaction caused the waitress to immediately freak out. "Oh my God, did I break it?!"
"Bleh! So bitter!" Chica exclaimed. Unbothered by the look on the waitress' face, she asked, "Can I order something else to drink?~ Maybe a coke or something?~"
"Uh… sure…" The waitress replied before making a hasty retreat away from the table. Roxanne's eyes followed her until she disappeared from sight.
"She's scared of us," the wolfess muttered as she took another gulp from her beverage.
"What?~ No!~ I'm sure she's just a little nervous!~" Chica replied with a dismissive wave. Then, eyeing Roxy's glass, she asked, "Do you seriously like that stuff?~ It's so bitter!~"
Roxanne shrugged. "I think it tastes fine."
"Well, in that case, you can have mine!~" Chica replied as she put her glass full of beer down in front of the wolfess.
"Gladly," Roxy said back with a grin.
The chef, who busied himself with cooking a large amount of food, then spoke up. "Do any of you want to catch some food in your mouth?"
"Ooh!~ That sounds fun!~" Chica chirped with an eager smile.
"Yeah, I'm game," Roxanne replied.
"Um, sure," Eliza added.
"Okay, Miss Chicken, let's start with you," the chef said as he took a piece of fried egg in his spatula. Grinning at Chica, he said, "Open your mouth!"
The chicken girl did as he said, and the chef then proceeded to toss the piece of fried egg into her mouth. Chica snapped her beak shut and murmured in delight. "Mmmh!~"
The chef then turned his attention to Roxanne. "How about you next, doggy?"
Roxy's brow furrowed. "Doggy?!" She growled. "I'm a wolf!"
Chica elbowed the wolfess. "Roxipoo, be nice."
"S-sorry, Miss Wolf! I didn't mean to offend," the chef said with an apologetic smile. "Do you still want to…" He gestured at the piece of fried egg on his spatula.
Roxanne frowned, but after a moment replied, "Sure." She opened her jaws, and before long the chef tossed the fried egg into her mouth. Snapping her jaws shut, she smirked at the chef and said, "Got anything a little more challenging?"
"Uh…" The chef looked down at the grill and then scooped up a large prawn in his spatula. "I can throw you this if you want? As long as you don't choke on it."
"I won't choke," the wolfess replied confidently before she opened up her jaws once more. Although hesitating, the chef nevertheless tossed the sizable shellfish into her mouth. Roxanne snapped her jaws shut, and a loud gulp could then be heard as she swallowed the prawn whole. "See?" She said with a toothy grin.
"V-very impressive, Miss Wolf," the chef said back, looking slightly unnerved. Next he turned to Eliza and scooped up another prawn. "What about you, girl? Want me to throw one into your mouth too?" Eliza was about to protest when the chef laughed and said, "Just kidding! I'll just throw you some egg." He dropped the prawn back onto the grill and then scooped up a small piece of fried egg. Eliza let out a sigh of relief before she too opened her mouth. The chef then tossed the piece into it. Closing her mouth, Eliza murmured in delight as she chewed on the food.
The chef then went back to cooking and making a show of it to entertain the trio, much to the delight of the animatronics, and Chica most of all. Another waitress brought the excitable chicken girl a glass of coke, and shortly thereafter the chef served them their first course—steak, shrimp, and fried rice with chicken. As he did, Eliza grabbed herself a pair of chopsticks, which drew the attention of the Glamrock girls.
"Oh my gosh!~ Muffin, could you teach us how to use chopsticks too?~" Chica asked with a big smile on her face.
"Um, sure," Eliza replied, smiling back at the chicken girl. She then handed her and Roxanne their own chopsticks, and began to teach them how to use them. At first, they struggled, but they quickly improved, and by the end of the first course, the animatronics were actually doing better than Eliza.
"Damn, you picked that up really quickly!" The chef exclaimed as he watched them eat while also cooking their second course.
Roxanne flashed him a grin. "Yeah, we know. We're amazing."
The chef began to serve the trio their second course when one of the waitresses went up to their table and set down a huge platter of sushi. "Enjoy," she said with a smile before leaving.
All in all, Roxy and Eliza ate about one third of all of the food they had ordered, while the gluttonous chicken girl scarfed down the rest of it.
Having finished her meal, Chica leaned back in her chair and let out a contented sigh. "That was some of the best food I've ever had in my life!~"
"Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with that," Roxanne agreed as she picked her teeth with her claws. Turning her attention to the chef, she asked, "So how much do we owe you?"
"Oh, your boss actually told us to send the bill to him, so that's already taken care of," the chef replied. A sheepish smile then crept onto his face. "I do have one request, though, if that's okay. Would it be alright if I took a picture with you three?"
The trio looked at each other, and then Roxy replied, "Of course. As long as you give us a copy."
The chef grinned. "Deal."
