THE GOD'S LEGACY Chapter 6
A/N:- So, this is going to be the final battle between the Nomu and Percy, and uh… I don't have much to say here, actually… so just skip this! On with the chapter!
The new white-haired Percy was floating in the air, surveying the damage.
As he turned, he locked eyes with the pale man, who had a panicked expression on his face as he prepared to run.
Percy never gave him the chance to.
Two spiked of ice rose from the water and pierced his thighs, blood pooling out of them as Shigaraki screamed in pain. Two shadow hands grabbed his arms and held him tightly.
Then Percy looked to his left. Izuku, Tsu, and Mineta were all huddled together with Aizawa under them. Somehow they had managed to meet up with the rest of the students.
He saw how badly Thirteen had been hurt. The back of her suit had been vaporized, but she was still looking at him. So were the other students, shock and hope and, something else that he couldn't really place, written on their faces.
He recognized Kirishima mouthing some words to Shoji and Tokoyami as they started to move forward to help the demigod.
Before Percy could stop them from advancing, Bakugo stopped the redhead. He spoke some words, quite angrily that is.
Kirishima looked like he wanted to argue as he looked back at Percy.
The half-blood shook his head.
There was a huge blow of speed and the Nomu reappeared with a punch aimed at Percy's face.
Percy's eyes burned with hate and anger as he met the hand with his own.
-BREAK-
Izuku could only watch in awe as the two fought.
They were having a hand-to-hand fistfight, punches flying in all directions as smoke and water rose. The atmosphere had darkened comparatively and skeletal hands rose from the ground.
Explosions.
Lightning.
Thunder.
Fire.
Rain.
That was all the students could see.
The demigod and monster were moving too fast for their eyes to comprehend as Percy grabbed the leg of the Nomu and threw it into the air as he surged forward punching it straight into the ground.
Water was rising around him as skeletal hands rose to grab the monster, immobilizing him, as shadows covered the Nomu completely.
The demigod descended to the ground and hunched over in pain, his hand on his chest as he coughed up blood.
Groaning he stood up and launched himself forward to the Nomu, who had freed itself from the skeletal cage, grabbing its head as he jumped into the air, twirling around and throwing the monster to the ground with enough force to cause the lava mountain to collapse.
Midoriya was in awe analyzing the whole situation. The two were evenly matched and the rest of the students knew that, but he also knew that Percy would be the one to reach his limit first.
His attacks had been slowing down and the constant silver glow around him had also reduced considerably. Many of the students were at the railings, cheering for the demigod.
"You may have been made to withstand All Might at his hundred percent," Percy yelled as he was on top of the Nomu, tearing off its hands. "But not Percy Jackson!"
He punched its head with enough force to crack its beak and threw him up in the air.
Percy stood there, powering up, as the silver glow increased again.
He met the monster and they both stood on equal ground again. The Nomu's beak had shifted back to its original form. They both were floating in the air as they waited for the other to make the first move.
Percy had cracked his ribs again and one was poking out of his bloody stomach. His white hair had gotten stained with his blood which dropped down his face. His left eye had been punctured with pieces of rocks flying in the air and his right arm had been broken.
Yet he stood there, tall and strong, emanating power.
This is it, the last of my strength. No more playing around. We need to get serious.
Percy charged at the same time as the Nomu.
They were flying in the air, beating each other more and more, with blinding speed, streaks of light and explosions following their wake.
The students were all dumbfounded as they saw the half-dead Percy fight something that had been made to kill the symbol of Peace.
Speaking of which, Izuku could only wonder when All Might would arrive. Percy couldn't hold up any longer. Most of the kids knew that by now.
Kirishima was insanely worried and so was Yaoyorozou, but they all knew that they would be of no help to the demigod.
Percy and the Nomu zipped across the facility as the demigod dodged all of the punches the monster sent his way, responding with kicks of his own.
Both were equally devastating.
Percy's left hand cracked and the Nomu's stomach was ripped open.
In spite of that, they kept going, trading blows in their way.
They flew across the room, destroying even more man-made creations.
The monster threw Percy in the air and punched him directly in the ribs, making the demigod fly away and crash into the wall.
Percy didn't dodge in time as a kick came his way, breaking the wall and making it explode with the power of a hand grenade.
The demigod was sent flying into oblivion as the Nomu looked around, relatively pleased with himself.
The students were horrified, but then rejoiced as two seconds later, the demigod reappeared, crashing through the dome and making the ground crack and explode.
"This is it!" He roared. "You tried to take away my hope! My friends! My reason for living!"
He grabbed the Nomu and punched it backward.
"NOW TAKE THIS!" He screamed as he released a volley of punches. "ALL OF MY SUFFERING! ALL OF MY PAIN! ALL OF MY HURT!"
The water around him rose and so did the darkness and the fire, mimicking their master's movements, creating dozens of gigantic hands.
"OLYMPIC SMASH!"
Percy's entire creation smashed forward at the Nomu, including his own fists which made the entire facility burst into flames.
All of it was directly hammering the monster's body, pulverizing it, tearing it up, destroying it.
The force and the shockwave of the attack were so large that Percy flew back, few meters away from where the students were waiting, lying face up, coughing up blood.
He was even more badly bruised than before. His left arm was broken and his right was… also broken. His left eye was gone and bleeding and blood was dripping from his hair into his right, which had been swollen. His chest was covered entirely in cuts and there was the broken rib that had punctured his skin, showing itself off to the whole world. His right leg was also broken and his entire body was covered in blood. The red fluid was also dripping out from his lips as he panted.
Midoriya was at the edge of the railing, tears streaming down his face as they took in the broken demigod's appearance, but he couldn't do anything to go to his aid, there was some sort of invisible barrier blocking them from reaching Percy. Not even Bakugo with his explosiveness nor Kirishima with his hardness could break the barrier.
With a start, Izuku realized that this was the same barrier that had blocked the Nomu's punch.
"Percy," He muttered quietly.
All of the people were banging on the barrier, crying and screaming, trying to get through.
Percy stood up with difficulty. He was left with no power to even stand on his own two feet as he took the support of a redcoat skeleton. He looked at his right hand and sighed in relief as the golden ring was still there.
He scanned the facility with his half-functioning eye.
The destruction had been eminent. The entire place that used to be a paradise island had been reduced to a ruined battlefield.
Blood was splattered everywhere, as trees, broken and withered fell down. The lava mountain had been destroyed completely and the buildings were in ruins. The entire ground was cracked with craters here and there. Fires were still raging and the few remaining goons were scared and huddled together in one corner, crying for their lives.
Most of them had been knocked unconscious or killed by Percy and the Nomu's violent fight.
Speaking of which, the Nomu was nowhere to be seen. The place where they had fought had been reduced to ashes, except for a few scattered bones here and there. Huge amounts of blood were also scattered there along with a small eyeball and beak and other body parts, which the demigod believed to be the Nomu's.
Percy smiled to himself and then regretted it as he hunched over and coughed violently, more blood spewing from his mouth.
He straightened again, well as much as he could, and turned around to look at the students.
Midoriya locked eyes with him and Percy smiled.
He fucking smiled.
A weak smile on his blood-stained lips as his eyes crinkled.
Seeing that, the students could not help themselves but repeat the gesture, looks of relief evident on their faces.
But that's when it all went wrong.
The students' faces turned to one of horror as they screamed at Percy.
"LOOK OUT!" Midoriya screamed but he was too far away to do anything.
SHPURSH!
Percy sputtered blood as he looked down at the large spike that was embedded in his chest.
He turned his neck around painfully as he saw the pale man holding the ice spike that Percy had bound him with.
Shigaraki laughed out loud as Percy hunched up.
The broken and scattered pieces of the Nomu glowed and formed the skeletal structure of something like the monster with the blood and stood up, bits of flesh and muscles reforming on its body as Percy witnessed the rebirth of the behemoth he had just disintegrated.
Shigaraki was still laughing at the horrified look on Percy and his friends' faces. "This fight is really futile! I don't know what your quirk is, or how you're so strong. But you're no match for the Nomu!"
He then turned serious and barked out a single command.
"Nomu." He said as the monster looked at him. "Kill him."
The monster disappeared and reappeared in front of Percy with a punch directed for his face, but at that instant, something else appeared and picked the demigod up and dropped him in the water reserve.
The last thing Percy saw was All Might's angry expression, his smile gone as he loosened up his tie and vanished.
The last thing Percy heard was:
"CAROLINA SMASHHHHH!"
And, Percy's vision darkened.
