I wanted to try and write a gamer fanfic of my own, one with a slight twist on everything. Now before we begin, I must say One piece doesn't belong to me. Now sit back and try to enjoy the ride. I'll show stats at the end of each chapter.
Warning: This first chapter will be somewhat of a test run. I'm focusing more on establishing the system and leaving the island I start on. Also my main focus will remain on Story of a wraith. In light of that this story will be kept to 5k words a chapter.
Introduction.
That my friends, is how you die a virgin. Honestly I'm fine with it, dying isn't all bad. After your heart stops beating, all the pain fades away. My brain was still working at maximum capacity, allowing me to rethink all the mistakes I made in my life.
The only problem is, I kinda hate the way I died. It was completely dumb. I was in the middle of a heated game of Overwatch 2, going crazy with roadhog. I know what you're thinking, that guy is quite literally broken, but I use him anyway. I'm the scum of the earth, all right now that I've acknowledged that, can I move on with the story?
Like I was saying, I was in the middle of the game going crazy with roadhog. A nice 30 kills, and 4 deaths. It was one of my better games. Unfortunately God had decided that my warranty on life was up, since out of nowhere right after being hacked by a dumb ass Sombra, a fucking plane crashed into the house killing me and likely 30 of my neighbors. What kind of bullshit pilot license did that idiot obtain, to crash into a neighborhood of all things?
Oh well, I was dying anyway. No reason to be mad at the idiot that caused it.

'Huh?!' I thought to myself. 'What kind of bullshit is this?'
It's a system you fucking dumbass, I'm asking if you'd like to continue from a previous checkpoint!
'Wow, really getting all mad over a few words. What do you mean the last checkpoint?' I asked the thing mentally.
I can give you a chance to redo the day. Despite how hilariously your death was, it was in no way your fault. Do you wish to restart the day, or would you rather start a new game?
'Honestly, Life is kind of boring at the moment. What kind of game would I be starting?'
Hmm, scanning memories… I can give you the option of going to another world. I see you like One Piece, you even wrote an entire story on how much you loved that world. Too bad you personally will never finish it. Some other version of you will do that.
'Huh other version? Wait no, scratch that. Let me see the end of my story, let me become Jay.' I pleaded.
Sorry, no can do.
'Garbage ass system.' I thought in what amounts to a whisper.
What?! It's not my fault alright! Whenever something is written it becomes marked in reality. That story of yours exists somewhere already, I can't allow another version of it to be created! It's a waste of my powers!
'Fine, if that's the case just get me started in one piece. How about some gaming abilities, I'm kinda big on those and it could be hella fun. You know, living life like a game.'

I looked at the screen confused, deciding to ignore the comment on me being a nobody. 'Wait, what about Gamer's mind?'

In front of my face a deck of cards appeared. 'It's randomized? I'll take one.' After mentally choosing my card a notification appeared.

Endure(When health reaches zero, the user becomes incapable of dying for one minute.)

With those words I had decided. 'Alright, then I'll just be a world noble, it isn't worth looking weird. I would choose lunarian but the drawback of being hunted down would be annoying.'

I carefully considered the two before taking the second option. 'I'll take the multi lobby.'

'Enough with the dramatics, just send me in.'
A moment later, I appeared in a dark room that was lit up by one chair. The floor was nonexistent, it just looked like the night sky. Sitting in the chair was what I could only assume was a deity.
"Kozuka?" I said in surprise.
The figure flinched. "How can you mix me up with that bitch?" Judging by the voice I had assumed it was a guy.
"Damn, I was hoping to tease her for real. So I'm guessing she exists as well?" I asked him.
"Yea, she watches over that one fucked up ass word. At least I have a limit on how many people I let in, that bitch just allows anyone. Anyways, as long as your system is good, I can let you in. My name is Kozu by the way." The apparent god beckoned me forward.
I decided to just be obedient, this god was leagues more respectful than the one I expected. He quickly inspected the system before creating a door next to him. "Please head on in, also if you meet a guy with an evil system. I would appreciate a corpse. Just one mistake and now everyone compares me to that bitch, can god's not make mistakes?! He complained.
I walked through the door and immediately passed out.
The first thing realized upon waking up was unbearable heat.
I had woken up on a random island next to a beautiful girl. I'm not gonna lie I was slightly tempted to take a touch but was immediately stopped by one annoying system.
[I'd advise you to not start touching girls, I'm afraid your race doesn't let you get away with that much.]
'Yea yea.' I thought. "Stats!"

I checked my stats again and realized that my stat points had increased by 20, and my stats all increased by one despite gaining 5 levels. I decided to test my theory of a new skill every ten stat levels by immediately putting 19 into agility and 19 into strength. The extra seven I dumped into vitality.

The girl caught my eye as I stared at her. "Um, what're you doing?" She looked closer. "Jay…"
'Hey stupid system, explain this to me!' I shouted mentally.
[Well since you're too incompetent to remember what I said, I'll repeat it. This is a multiplayer lobby, the other 6 people here have systems just like you. Though they can't view each others, only their own. You're the only one capable of viewing all the other systems, because I'm so great.]
As she finished the explanation I looked back at the girl next to me. "Hello, my name is Jay. If your system explained it to you, I'm one of the other players in this Lobby. It seems they stuck us together for whatever reason."
Kura seemed to look down at her screen.

"It's nice to meet you. As you know, my name is Kura." She greeted.
I stood up and offered my hand. "Well since we're stuck together, we might as well make the most out of it. What are your plans for this world?"
She grabbed my hand allowing me to pull her up. "Isn't it obvious, I'm gonna join Luffy and wreak some havoc."
I laughed. "That's a good goal, then it seems we'll be crewmates from now on."
She smiled back. "Yea, though first, how about we leave the shore and head into the forest. I don't know about you, but I'm dead tired."
Though we didn't completely trust each other it seemed like a good way to start the journey in a new world.

As we walked through the forest, I took the liberty of reading through the encyclopedia that was gifted to me thanks to my class. Luckily the system had provided me with an inventory.
"Hm, none of these devil fruits seem all that interesting. If I was to get one, I'd probably have to choose a logia."
Kura looked over my shoulder in curiosity. "So there really is a book of devil fruits, I thought that was only in fanfiction. Then again I'm pretty sure the anime mentioned it offhand, can't remember."
"Yeah, Blackbeard read about the Yami Yami no mi, so it's definitely a thing."
[Due to the gamers influence, new areas have been added. Dungeons have been spread across the world.
Dungeon detected: Bandit's forest.
Requirements: Lv. 1-10.

Kura noticed the change in my movement. "You alright?"
I looked at her in confusion. "You can't see it?"
"See what?"
"It's a dungeon, am I the only one allowed to enter?"

"How would I go about adding someone to a party?"
[Party invitation has been sent.]
Her eyes glowed from the excitement. "Oh there's a party feature, this is starting to seem like fun."

'Party chat?' I thought.
'Um, should I be able to hear your thoughts? Is that what the party function is?' Kura asked me.
'Well considering the fact that I can hear yours, I'm assuming that is the case. Is there some way to limit the thoughts to consent?'

"Alright we should be fine." I told her. "It'd be a lot of work to have to hear each other's thoughts all day."
"True, now let's hurry up! There's a dungeon right there, we have to try it out!"

Bandit's forest
The forest was quite strange. Despite the large trees blocking out the sun, the forest remained well illuminated. All around was the same trees stretching for what could only be miles. The forest provided a nice cool, that the outside had not and there was a tense feeling in the air.
All around us the sound of footsteps could be heard. I immediately stood back to back with Kura as shadows jumped across the forest floor.
"Damn it, they're using the territory to their advantage." I cursed.
"How should we deal with these guys?" Kura asked.
"We gotta know what we're dealing with first." I told her. "Observe!"
[The skill observe has been activated. Due to their being multiple enemies, you will see the profile of the average bandit.]

An average bandit, equipped with a sword.

"Hey Kura, do they have any skills for you to copy?"
"Um no, wait, how did you know about that?"
"I can see hidden information on stat screens, I'm the only one with a system who can do that. You may be able to see some of my skills, but most are hidden. I can see it all." I explained. "If there aren't any skills, how about we try and kill these bastards."
"Alright." She nodded as a notification popped up on her screen.
[Opponents are at a higher level. The skill Eye of Anubis has activated. Stats increased by 50%.]
Two bandits came rushing in waving their swords in the sky. I ducked underneath the slash and hit it in the stomach.
'Critical hit, 40 damage dealt.'
I smiled. "So crits are double the damage of my strength stat."
I hit the bandit three more times in quick succession.
'3x combo, 60 damage dealt.'

"Ember!" Kura shouted as she burned through the bandits chest.

"So there's waves to this? What was that love you just used?" I asked her.
"If there's five waves that means there'll be an extra two bandits each wave. Also take a look."

"God damn, that shit would kill me instantly. Luckily we're on the same side."
"The likelihood of me landing a hit on you is pretty low, though it's nice that you consider us to be on the same side."

From the shadows of the forest 4 bandits appeared.
They had rushed in with the same plan as before. As one of them swung, I dodged to the side and kicked the other.

The first had reappeared behind me going for an overhead swing. I sidestepped and tripped it before stomping it into the ground.
'3x critical hit, 120 damage dealt.'

"You need to get better at your trash talking." Kura deadpanned.
"I'm working on it." I whispered back.

"Ready!" She replied.
I smirked. "Then let's begin the subjugation."
Kura laughed. "Subjugation is bringing something under control, I think the correct term for this is… let's begin the hunt!"
The two of us rushed in for an attack.
Lucerio grinned. "Yahahaha! You pathetic little humans could never beat a proud giant like myself!"
"You throwing away your humanity, just makes it all the more easier to hunt you. This is just another monster for us to kill." I dashed to the side circling around him, going for a pincer attack.
As he turned to meet my fist, Kura prepared her attack. "Fire bullet!" The shots began pelting him, lowering his health from 500 to 495.
I sighed. "This may take a while, Kura you just focus on support and try to get off as much dps as possible. I'll play tank and keep his agro on me!" I ducked under a slow blow before aiming a fist at his chest, however thanks to his high vitality he simply shrugged it off.
"Come on now, little ant, that attack did nothing. Is that all you've got?" He mocked. "I've taken more damage from falling on my ass!"
'15 damage has been dealt.'
'Remaining hp: 480/500'
"Talking about damage, for such a big man you ain't got all that much strength. No wonder you live here instead of Elbaf, your weak ass was probably kicked out." The words seemed to strike a sore spot because a look of anger took over his features.
[Due to taunting, the skill berserk has been activated. Lucerio will now deal 50% more damage. Lucerio will now take 50% more damage.]
"Okay, so he just threw the rules of the game out the window." I noted. "I guess there's some realism to this dungeon after all."
Kura took the chance to run up close. "Ember!" She shouted.
"75 damage has been dealt."
"You insignificant little ants!!!" Lucerio roared.
Suddenly both me and Kura were stunned at point blank range. "I'll get rid of both of you at once!" The surrounding air slowly compressed around him as the pressure built up higher and higher.
I tried to move but was stuck in place. Kura jumped out of the way immediately. "Hey Jay, I think you should move. He's about to self-destruct."
I flashed a crooked smile her way. "Oh really? I couldn't tell, I was too busy being stuck to the fucking ground."
'Fucking gamer's mind bullshit!' I raged inwardly. 'She wasn't even affected by the bloodlust!'
A moment later the giant bandit exploded sending me flying back.
'You have taken 100 damage.'
[Due to health dropping to 50%, panic has been activated. Agility has increased by 10%.]
'Lucerio has taken 100 damage in his self destruction.'
[Remaining health: 305/500]
Lucerio laughed in a demented fashion. "I'll crush you bugs into the dirt." A second later he was in front of me throwing his fist back, the attack that followed had so much power behind it, that even with me blocking it still did 25 damage. I was flung back into one of the forest trees, which dealt an additional 10 damage. Leaving me with 65 health to spare. Lucerio dashed at me once more, aiming to finish the job with a right cross.
As he got close, I dodged into the attack causing it to nearly miss and get stuck in the tree. I then circled around him before jumping onto the man's back and pelting his head with attacks.
'5x combo, 100 damage dealt.'
Lucerio was now left with only 205 health left. Kura had pelted him with flame bullets dropping his health to 200. "You goddamn insects!" The roar had stunned us once more, but this time it seemed neither of us could move.
As the compression of air hit us, I could hear Kura cursing. "Damn it!" Her arm was twisted and her health had dropped by 150. My health had been left on 1.

[Users health has dropped to 50%, The skill Last legs has been activated. Thanks to the effects of the user's race, speed and strength is doubled. Vitality is immediately dropped to 25%.

"Damn it!" Kura cursed again. "I was so close, I would've been able to copy his skill if I didn't get hit!" Fire began to burn over her body. "That pisses me off, it's about time this annoying bitch dies!"
"Well then, guess I'll go take a seat. Her agility has jumped up to 60, I'm sure she can handle this." I sat up against the tree and watched as Kura beat the giant down. She didn't have much strength so it lasted a whole lot longer than it should have. Honestly that scowl on Kura's face had scared me half to death. Then again, I'm way beyond the halfway point. I'm only 1 point away from death right now. Though now was not the time to be making jokes equivalent to that of Brook's.

A couple hours later after we rested I began checking the gains I made. I started by drawing a card, always my favorite part. I could get lucky or I could get some trash.

'Water walking? It's starting to seem like the system reads my fanfic, I guess I have some similarities to the other Jay. It's strange to think he's a real person somewhere.'
I checked my stats, I had 4 extra attribute points that I decided to deposit into Luck to get my next skill.

'This skill would have been nice to have earlier. The only loot I got was an uncommon weapon.' I looked at my gloves, black and red in color.
'The title I obtained increases my endurance and yet I didn't get a skill. I guess that means my base stats have to reach 10.'
"Hey Kura, what'd you get?!" I called.
"I took the extra stats, I wanted to gain some good power. Besides, I don't really need to take skills from completing dungeon quests, I can just copy the ones I find." Kura smirked. "Speaking of, it's nice to see you trust me."
"Huh?"

"Wait, you just took me skill? Though I guess I don't mind entirely, it's good that we can travel without a boat now." I stared at her stat window for a bit.
'It's strange that her name is similar to the girl Jay met in my story. The only difference being that her attire and hair style were changed.' I realized.
"Anyways we should probably get going! You said you were up for wreaking havoc with Luffy right?"
Kura smiled. "Yea, and with the map they gave me I can see the islands. The closest place to here is Orange town."
"Well then, please lead the way, my dear princess."
"Please don't call me that." She deadpanned. "Let's go!"

I'll try to keep this story to a two week basis. I post usually on Sundays, just got this out early. I'm going to alternate stories. One week a chapter for this, the next week a chapter for story of a wraith.
