Huh, it's morning already, did Camilla wake me up, or did she leave for work, plus hope no humans learn I'm not from this world, and hope Luz's okay in the Boiling Isles and hope Camilla is okay after what happened at that historical society alomg with her helping me with my magic so I can blend in, with humans so they wouldn't freak.
Vee's eyes fluttered open as the morning-rain had awoken the basilisk girl from dreaming despite it sounding relaxing, she was afraid of the rain hurting her like in the Boiling Isles smelling breakfast stretching but transforming ijtomLuz and getting dressed in her human-sister's clothes before goijg downstairs entering the kitchen seeing Camilla there drinking coffee, smiling at Vee because it was a few days after she abd Luz had helped rescue Vee from a crazy worker at thecGravesfield Historical Society but had adopted her after Vee had explained to her and it was nice having anothervdaughter despite the fact she was a magical creature from another world, letting her be herself at home, butvshape-shifted into Luz outside so nobody in Gravesfield would realise that she was in another world hearing her yawning and rubbing her eyes as she was still a little sleepy.
"Bueno Dias mija, how did you sleep." Carmilla asked her making Vee grin as she was hungry sitting down seeing cereal and orange juice wondering if Camilla was okay guessing she missed her human-sister squeezing her hand gently which made her smile knowing how sweet she was like Luz.
"Gracias Vee, as I do miss her, but she'll come back, like she said." Carmilla told her making Vee nodding onlybCamilla noticed the anxiousness on her face at the rain outside making her curious as Luz loved the rain seeing Vee shape-shift into her normal form hugging her tail for comfort.p like when shecwas scared or anxious which Camilla found adorable knowing it made her feel better.
"Does the rain here hurt." she asked softly confusing Camilla at her question.
"No mija, why would younask that, sweetie." Carmilla asked her
"In the Boiling Isles the rain hurts you, so I thought the rain here might be the same." Vee admitted feeling Camilla hug her deciding to help her learn about rain here seeing her shape-shift ijto Luz following her gingerly outside, feeling her anxiety worsening trembling as a raindrop fell on her head, realising it didn't hurt her, breathing deeply smiling feeling better relieving Camilla seeing the school-bus show up, as she hugged Vee as Luz making Vee feel happy on the inside as she liked being there.
"Bye Camilla, have a good day at work." Vee said.
"Yountoo mija please be careful." she told her.
"It's okay I'll be careful mami." she said leaving, getting on the bus feeling anxious noticingt kids starijg as she fouhd a seat near the back of the bus making Camilla relieved, hoping Vee would be alright, getting into her car driving off to work hoping her lil basilisk-girl would be okay along with Luz in the Boilijg Isles and she could help Vee, if she found things hard or the teacher called arriving at the vet clinic that she worked at seeing her fellow workers asking, if she was okay knowing that she'd been worrying about her daughter knowing Luz was quirky yet sweet, not knowing she was in another world or that she'd adopted a magical-creature who was posing as her daughter.
"Yeah, I'm okay, and Luz left for school." she said softky washing her hands before getting to work.
Meanwhile at school, Vee as Luz was heading to the cafetaria hearing other kids looking at her and whispering making her confused until she looked in a mirror realisihg her basilsk ears were showing making her nervous, because she had to keep up appearances focusing as her ears became human again relieving her, joining other kids in lije, remembering Camilla had told her about this so she could fit in, getting a salad, seeing soda which made her curious using the Freestyle machijne making other kids give her weird looks as she sat atva vacabt table, breathing a sigh of relief that nobody guessed she was from another world sipping the soda, feeling energised gettijg more.
"Geez, she's being weird again, like her book report." a kid muttered as a teacher entered shaking his head telling Luz to come with him making Vee confused, she'd just been having fun discovering a human thing which they didn't have in the Boiling Isles sitting outside the office knowing, Camilla would smooth things out as the principal said he was calling her.
"Normally kidscare scared when he calls their parents, you seem happy." she heard a kid beside her say.
"Si, Camilla will sort everything out, is thatva basisk on your shirt." she said seeing him nodding.
"Yeah, good eye, I should be goijg to detention, see you around." he said making Vee confused, her people didn't look like that taking a deep-breath hoping Camilla would set things straight, not understanding what she'd did wrong seeing Camilla there hugging her seeing and smelling soda off her breath before going into the principal's office.
"Ohhhh mija, you feeling alright and should've let you try soda here, so that would not have happened forgetting there are things you're not used to." Carmilla told her as Vee was lying on her side with a hot water-bottle but hugging her tail as she didn't feel good after that soda and had been sicj once they got home seeing Vee feeling not so good.
"Did IngetvLuz in trouble, mom-" Vee asked softly as Camilla sighed wrapped hervarms arouhd the basilsk-girl in a hug which was making Vee feeling a little better, thinking of Camilla as her mom meaning Luz was her human-sister seeing Camilla touched by her thoughts.
"Sure thing honey, I love you." Carmilla told her kissing her head making Vee grin.
