All Sharon wanted was for her son to be happy. Luckily for her, Gabriela did make Bode happy. She teared up at the sight of them flirting after their latest fire was put out. "Look at them!" she whispered to her husband.

Vince rolled his eyes. "You do realize you don't have to cry every time, right?" he teased.

She elbowed him. "Be nice!" she hissed.

"You okay, Mom?" asked a concerned Bode once he finally spotted her again. He had become immensely overprotective of Sharon since learning of her illness.

"I'm fine. Are you happy, baby?" Sharon checked.

He glanced at Gabriela and smiled at his girlfriend. "Well, are you happy, Bode Donovan?" Gabriela asked him, a grin on her face. "Be honest with your mother."

"Not this again," Vince grumbled as he wrapped his arms around Sharon.

"They like to flirt a lot - fires get them going, apparently. Remind me of us back in our younger days," Sharon murmured.

Bode waited for Sharon to finish speaking before he responded to his girlfriend's question. He smirked at Gabriela. "Yeah, I'm happy."

"Damn. Too bad for you that I'm happy too." Gabriela grinned at him.

Vince sighed before kissing Sharon. "I'm going somewhere else so these two don't traumatize me any further."

Sharon was glad that Vince and Bode were trying to repair their relationship - it was one of her greatest wishes. She still snorted. "Good luck with that."

"I should probably go." Bode hated that he couldn't technically celebrate with Gabriela and the rest of the crew just yet.

"I'll come by later," Gabriela assured him.

"Your usual dad excuse?" he checked, chuckling when she nodded.

Sharon couldn't ask for a better partner for her son, working hard to earn redemption. Gabriela and Bode were perfect for one another.
