Poem 2#

Down In The Rose Gardens

Down in the rose gardens

One so large and abundant

Red like wine we're it's people

Who grew on bushes

Bushes that have grew to please

My lonesome heart

But never a rose so beautiful

That in my many, many years

Have I felt it make a shell

A shell so cold

Looted off of it's contents

Only the rosy core left cold and broken

I have never thought that I would see the day

Fall before me, as the shell

Once again, tripped upon it's steps

As I laid eyes upon a rose

A beautiful rose

Striking amongst the red

Pure and White

I have decided

After many moons have passed us by

Greeting and waving was too much

For this shell of mine

Waiting for just one embrace

Just one touch

Just a word

I find that I can not

I am too afraid of you

Or am I of me?

Do you see me, my white rose

I can not help admiring you from afar

Petite is the stem that keeps you upright

Pure is the only color I think of

Whenever I gaze upon those petals

The lean curves of your gorgeous hips

Gaze upon me one more time

With your calm, lavender eyes

Say a little more than a 'how are you'

Embrace me my rose

For I have eyes for you
