Poem #3

Rebirth

He gave me the life that I came to live

A life that was once a shadow

A shadow compared to his

A shadow that was rebuffed and ignored

A shadow that was made to pale

To pale whenever we stood together

But

To him, I was his equal

To him, I was his amethyst

To him, I was his will to live

To him, I was his wife

A shadow, that played a role in his life

Our lives

Have never been the same again

Have changed because of a little squabble

He knew that he would find me weak

On my knees in pain, a pain so great

My chest clenches when I think of it

He looked at me

Like I was his to heal and fix

He did just that for me, all because

Of a few words

That were enough

To set me free

He had known I was made weak

Weak because of my brother's betrayal

Weak because I had no parent to protect me

Weak because of my broken heart

Weak because I had myself to loose

Weak because I had a thirst for crimson

Yet

It seemed to fade away from my mind

My weaknesses had become strengths

I was close to his heart

That no one believed it

Some had thought of it

But we stuck together

I knew I threw my heart around

No one from me for a lover of love

But you showed me how to fall in love

A love so beautiful

That I would die a thousand times to relive it
