Poem 4#

Don't you worry

I love you to the moon and back

But my child

Rest your weary soul

And cease your weeping

Your father is away

I know

But we always have each other

You may not see him

The man whom you share

The beautiful brown hair with

I love you too much that I'll give you a castle

But child

Rest your broken heart

Upon my chest

I'll cuddle you until you are safe

I know you miss your father

But we still have each other

You may not hear him

The man who fondly took my heart

Like you did when I birthed you

I love you

I am here

I will hear you

I will comfort you eternally

But child

You have grown up and resemblance is uncanny

Your sienna coloured eyes

That rivalled that of the garnet stones

Your beautiful smile

That warms my lonely heart

Your locks of dark brown hair

That brush your shoulders

I miss him because of you

I tried to hide you from the pain

The pain I felt when he failed the promise

To watch you be surrounded by friends

With fathers

Knowing full well you don't have your own

Forgive me and rest your heavy head

On my lap

I know that you dearly miss him

As do I

But, rest on my lap for the last time

For the kind lavender eyes

Will engrave themselves in memory

For the silver hairs will be the last you touch

From the person whom you called Mom

But do not worry

For I found him

Lying next to me

In the same black box

You rested my body in

To remain together

In eternity
